The Hale Makai (Ocean House) is an oceanfront & beachfront vacation rental home on the North Shore of Oahu, Hawaii and offers breathtaking ocean & mountain views from every room. This is a spacious (1,500+ sf living area) 3 bedroom, 1 bath duplex home (downstairs) with porcelain tile floors throughout. The Hale Makai features a remodeled kitchen & bath with granite counter tops, full size stainless steel stove/range, built-in microwave, full size refrigerator, and all the cooking utensils you need to prepare complete meals. There is also a laundry room located directly in the home with priva...te coin-op washer & dryer. The living area is richly decorated with warm tropical & plantation style furniture and enjoys direct ocean views. There are two queen size sleeper sofas in the living room in addition to a dining area with teak dining table and seating for six. The master bedroom has wrap-around ocean views and is furnished with elegant and tropical teak furniture with a queen size bed. The second bedroom also has a queen size bed and heavy teak and tropical furniture for an elegant feel. The third bedroom is furnished with two twin size beds. All areas of the home have ceiling fans, however they are rarely necessary as this home enjoys wonderful cool ocean breezes year around.

Enjoy relaxing on the direct beach & ocean front yard which opens up to the blue South Pacific only 15 feet away. The oceanside area has a picnic table & chaise lounge chairs. There is plenty of area for sunbathing on the beach or on the grassy yard. Watch spectacular sunrises while soaking in one of our hot tubs just steps away. Stroll down the beach to the Hauula beach park and coral preserve for some great snorkeling and swimming or take our ocean kayaks out for some adventure. Close by are world famous North Shore attractions such as the Hauula hiking trails & preserve, Polynesian Cultural Center, Turtle Bay Resort & Golf, Brigham Young University, Sunset Beach, Waimea Bay, Kualoa Ranch and the last unspoiled "Hawaiian" style towns on Oahu. We are located approximately 45 minutes from Honolulu International Airport on the North East coast of Oahu, Hawaii where the Ko’olau Mountains touch the Pacific Ocean. Our community of single family homes, small shops, and quaint restaurants is very different from the high rise retail & tourist center of Waikiki. RATES: Nightly:
3-4 nights: $269.99
5-6 nights: $242.99
7-13 nights: $229.49
14+ nights: $215.99

Holiday Rates: We charge a flat rate of $2,299.00 for reservations covering Christmas or New Year's Holiday. This rate covers up to 7 nights. Additional nights are billed at the normal nightly rate. Christmas reservations must vacate by December 29 and New Years reservations cannot arrive earlier than December 29. Reservations which include both Christmas and New Years are billed a flat rate of $4,599.00 and cover up to 14 nights. Additional nights are billed at the normal rate.

All rates quoted are based upon six (6) person occupancy and are charged based upon the number of nights you stay.

Absolute minimum requirement for booking a reservation is three (3) nights. No exceptions.

Minimum requirement for Christmas & New Year's is 7 nights.

Minimum requirement for Thanksgiving, Easter, Memorial Day, Labor Day and Fourth of July is 5 nights.

Add $15.99 daily charge for each additional guest over six (6) person occupancy up to a maximum of ten (10) people, including children over 1 year of age.

One (1) parking stall is provided for this vacation home. Extra parking may be ordered through our secure online reservations system.

Add a one-time, non-refundable, $125.00 cleaning fee to all reservations, a facilities fee of $14.99 per day and a one-time, non-refundable reservation fee of $19.99.

State of Hawaii Transient Accommodations Tax is currently 13.962% (charged on rents) and State of Hawaii General Excise Tax on Oahu is currently 4.712% (charged on services, not including rents).
