Secret Water is a delightful timber clad barn conversion, set on the owners 40 acre smallholding which includes 10 acres of woodland and tidal river frontage. The area teems with wildlife yet is is only a 5 minute drive from the pretty market town of Haverfordwest, while the beautiful coastline and wonderful sandy beaches are within a 15 minute drive.The property is comfortably and traditionally furnished with antique pieces and lovely wooden floors. We enjoyed 5 lovely days in Secret Water over half term - it you are looking for spectacular views, with solitude, but then all modern amenities - and you want the beauty of West Wales, you will not do much better than Secret Water...
We were particularly impressed with the friendly welcome from Paul and Tessa, the lovely big cottage style kitchen, and even the tree house out the back - for the kids!
Given the time of year, we also used the central heating - which was excellent. The barn has been converted and insulated very well...
With the river at the bottom of the hill, its also excellent for those who rowers and sailors - Paul has made a couple of boats himself!
