We were right in the middle of town, right where we wanted to be, good view of the water, Room was clean and represented as what it was. We were surprised to find beach chairs,towels, masks, fins, snorkels for use in the closet. We will come back here and stay again

This is the second time that we have stayed in this unit. It is in a great location with an exceptional view. We cannot wait to book for next year. One thing that did change from our first stay is the concierge service. Michelle does a great job. Also discount car rentals were offered saving us almost 800.00 on a jeep wrangler unlimited.

We felt we should have been informed of the key entry code much sooner than we did since we had been charged totally for the place. Very difficult to communicate with people supplying information.

The location is great! The unit is attractive and has most everything you could want. The one problem was some problem with the moden--we had trouble using our laptop.

We went for a cheaper rental as we were planning on buying a house in Kona. The condo was clean and convenient and with the parking situation felt quite secure. The bed, bathroom and kitchen area were fine.
Water pressure in the building is very low. Some of the seats in the lanai need to be recovered. One of the shelves in the refrigerator collapsed and broke a bottle of wine, which we cleaned up.
We were very happy to get internet access as remote office work needed to be completed. -

The condo was nicely stocked. My only complaints would be the parking situation and the noise of leaf blowers early in morning and motorcycles at night.

This condo buildging is a great place to stay. You can't be the great location and view as well as having a full kitchen, washer and dryer, view and cooking deck. The only draw back to the unit we were in was everytime that we used the air conditioner it would smell like cigarette smoke within the condo unit. Also, with the unit being in the lower levels the breeze was less causing the bedroom to be somewhat warm during the early night time. When we come back we will stay here again, but in a different unit and at a higher level.

When we arrived in unit 202 at 10:30p.m. we were very shocked and disappointed to find that the pull-out bed that our children were supposed to sleep in was covered in a huge blood stain. Luckily we were able to put our children on the pull out in my parents unit that evening. The floor was filthy as well with hairs, cockroach and a used bandaid, our feet were filthy after walking across the floor just a couple of times. Luckily the manager dealt with the mattress quickly and efficiently the next day. Also there was no phone and the dishwasher never did work! We would not consider this unit again!

Minor concerns included a dishwasher that did not work, an alarm clock which was broken and a mirror door that was off its tracks. Cleaning costs for this unit seemed excessive when compared with the $60.00 we spend on cleaning staff for our four bedroom home in Canada every 2 weeks.

condo was musty smelling,daily airing out didn't help, smell got into clothes/suit cases and came home with us. walls need to be finished/repaired from the earthquake damage several years ago, rust in bath sink, needs a little more effort with the cleaning

For the money there is not a better bargin in all of Kona. I was the only thing we found in Hawaii that was not over priced.

We have stayed at the Kona PLaza 5 different times in 4 different condos and 202 is at the top of our list. The property managers were great to work with. The ocean view was wonderful and the condo felt comfy. We would love to return.

Had a great time on our 25th anniversary. Very convenient location, lots of things within walking distance. The only thing that bugged was the air conditioning. I thought I remembered reading or hearing that we could be charged extra for "excessive" use, but the amount of cooling provided by the a/c was so minimal that we wound up leaving it on all night long. Other than that, great place, great views, and a very comfortable stay. Aloha-John

Some things we liked: fairly clean, well-stocked, large lanai, and modern. Some things we disliked: pots were not usable (so old the teflon is scratched off in some places), it was HOT because the air conditioning was broken (even though there were fans, it was very uncomfortable at night), the view is the top of a roof, and there was a big dead cockroach right outside the front door.

initially there was no hot water in the shower. However, I called the manager and someone came promptly and rectified the problem. Otherwise, the place was terrific
