Great home to rent. Two comfortable bedrooms, large living room, two outdoor showers, kitchen in living room. Perfect for a family of 4 or two couples. Best part of the house is the large deck looking over Hawksnest towards Caneel Bay and St. Thomas. Wifi in home is very spotty - broken more than it's on. Decent at&T; cellular throughout the house.
Catered To Vacations was great. Met us at the ferry, took us to get our rental jeep, then to the grocery store, then to the house for a quick tour.
Best part of house is the location. Minutes walk to Oppenheimer Beach and a short drive to the entire island. -

First off let me start off by saying the people at "Catered To" were extremely friendly and helpful! Met us at our ferry and took us straight to the place.
We were a group of 3 adults and one child and it never ever felt cramped... whoever said that this place was too small for 4 people must have friends in higher places than us, cause we loved it! Now I'll admit it's no castle, but it's very nice, clean and comfortable and the rooms are plenty big!
What a view! The whole place faces the bay... beautiful. At night you could hear the surf on the beach as it put you to sleep. (Once you got over this one really obnoxious bird that sang it's heart out after dark every night... my one and only complaint, lol!)
The location is perfect! The house is nestled on the side of the mountains just above Hawksnest Bay in the National Park and is very secluded and quiet. There's another villa next door that was occupied the whole time, but we barely noticed they were there. Again the location was perfect for us... we wanted to do a lot of snorkeling and occasionally hit Cruz Bay to shop and dine out... the villa was positioned perfectly in between our main destinations making it easy and quick to get to where we wanted to go.
The house is very comfortable, comfy firm mattresses, plenty of space to put away our belongings. Ceiling fans and aC in every room, though we never needed the aC. Each bedroom has it's own bathroom and outside shower. Didn't really spend much time in the living room, but the kitchen was very organized and came with everything you could possibly need to prepare just about anything... it even had a well stocked pantry with spices and oils, etc.. and a great small Weber gas grill on the deck! Most of our time there was spent either sleeping, cooking or hanging out on the deck overlooking the bay. The center is covered with a large round table that was perfect for just hanging out and relaxing.
A 3minute walk down our driveway, across the street and down another driveway brought us to a gorgeous little "private" beach!
Little unexpected perks were a washer and dryer downstairs, plus beach chairs and extra snorkeling gear and beach toys to use if we so desired on our outings.
Definitely will be back! -

Location couldn´t be better, a wonderful beach steps away from the house. Service was present at all times, Sharon was extremely kind with us, always ready to help. House had a beautiful view from the terrace and all the necessary appliances. Also Wifi was very useful.
No blackout curtains is the only criticism we have.

We chose Terrahawk because of the convenient 2 minute walk down the driveway to a beautiful north shore beach. (We didn't want to have to load the kids into the Jeep every day just to get to the beach.) The walk and beach were everything we were hoping for! To be clear, there are other villas on hillside, but they are further up the hill, off of long access roads. Even though they can see the ocean, they still have to use a car to get there. Not so at Terrahawk. The villa is very private, nestled right into the natural landscape of the National Park. It can't be seen from the road, and most people we met didn't even realize it was there.
Another great feature was the full kitchen with every kitchen utensil and gadget you could ever need. It felt more like we were staying at a friend's place. We cooked dinner in most nights, often using the gas grill on the gigantic deck overlooking Hawksnest Bay.
There's another villa, called Callalloo, sharing the driveway with Terrahawk. Although I've never been inside, it also looked very nice, and we thought about convincing some friends or family to come next time and rent the place across the way.
This was our 3rd rental on St John and the first through "Catered To". I'd say their service is top notch. The house was spotless, and every detail was attended to.

If you are looking for a villa that allows you to walk to the beach, this is the place. A small two bedroom, that lives large because of the deck, it is a three minute walk to Gibney beach and a short drive to all the best beaches in St John. It was very clean (thanks to Sharon who also spiffs up the place midweek) and altho the funiture in the living room isn't that comfortable, it really doesn't matter as the deck furniture is. The beds are great. Altho no one really plans to watch tv in paradise, we wanted to see the aCC Basketball Championship, but the tv is so small that it took alot of the enjoyment out of watching sports. The owner really could up the size as tv's are not take away from the ambiance.
Also close to town, shopping and restaurants. The Grill in Caneel (covered outdoor dining) is a great spot for lunches or dinner. A real treat with beautiful surroundings. Best Burgers!! -

TerraHawk was as clost to perfect as you can get. The location was perfect, the house was wonderful. Proximity to the beach was perfect. Loved the outside showers. Loved the view. Loved St. John. Loved snuba. Loved snorkeling. Ten minutes to Trunk Bay, the most beautiful beach, can't beat that! Can't wait to come back! The only shadow on this otherwise perfect vacation were the 3 huge spiders in the house (2 one night and another the next). We couldn't figure out how something that big got in. I understand we were in the tropics and there are big bugs there, but them being in the house really gave me the creeps. It was hard to sleep that night, I kept imaging it on the bed or on me. Gives me the chills just thinking about it. I'm going to look at my vacation photos now and dream I was still there.

Once on the premises, we felt this villa was too small to comfortably share with our son and his wife for a week. Due to a stipulation in the rental contract, we had to incur the cost of renting a larger villa in addition to paying in full for this one, so the owners of each villa could be compensated. After moving to a larger villa, the four of us had a wonderful vacation experience. However, my husband and I are still making credit card payments on the unexpected cost of having to rent two villas instead of one. I will be more careful next time when selecting accommodations based on Internet

Just spent a week at Terrahawk. Loved the location and promiximity to the beach. The villa was very nice for two couples sice we each had own bathroom and bed room. Did notice quite a few spiders and spider webs all over especially in bedroom so I think they can improve on this but over all great place to stay. Only draw back was not having pool but since so close to beach it was fine. I loved the beach( gibney) and deck at villa with beautiful views Villa equipped with everything you need

The Catered To staff was wonderful and very accommodating. Their customer service was second to none. Terrahawk is in a perfect location for access to the beaches. It is a 10 minutes drive to town which was perfect for us because we wanted the peace and quiet and sounds of the ocean.

I've lost count as to how many times we've rented this home since the mid '90s. It is a comfortable home with beautiful views and a very private location. The privacy and views are what we come time and time again for. We appreciate that it is fully air conditioned as well. When we first started coming here there was no a/C, but we were younger then. If it is quiet beauty that you seek this is the place for you. Good amenities as for the Cable/Internet but no pool. Always a way to forget about the world when you are here and the Catered to staff is always there if you need anything - they will just take care of it.

Terrahawk and the adjoining beach is the most beautiful and relaxing vacation venue we have ever visited. The 4th of July carnival is spectacular and the food and residents make you want to cancel your return flight. Catered To has not been as attentive and responsive our last couple of visits as we would like. The greeter in a hurry to get somewhere else when meeting us at the ferry and there was some confusion over the key to the villa but the maintenance folks were "Johnny on the spot" when we called for help. All in all it’s perfect for self-reliant folks who like to relax in beauty and soak up the local culture

Our family really enjoyed our stay on St. John and at the Terrahawk Villa. The location of the villa is great with access to all the best beaches and a short drive to Cruz Bay. The Gibney beach right down the hill (bit of a steep walk, but isn't too far) is gorgeous with good snorkeling right there. The Villa was very clean and everything was updated and modern. The a/C worked great and we were always comfortable. Catered To did a great job getting us to the Villa when we arrived, setting up our rental car (jeep), and explaining anything and everything we wanted to know. I would definitely recommend this place to others. I know I plan to come back again!

The house is perfect for one or two couples or one small family of 4. We enjoyed the location and view and were only unlucky with poor weather which is a chance you take going in the Summer. We had a problem with the porch/stairway lights not working but since it was raining most evenings we didn't go on the deck much. Everyone a Catered Two worked out well and helped when needed. I would suggest a 4x4 jeep rental with this property as the drive way is steep and slippery when wet.

We thoroughly enjoyed our Caribbean vacation in beautiful St John. We stayed at Terrahawk and had a wonderful & romantic time.
Terrahawk is a wonderful St John Island home located near the perfect Caribbean beach. It's the perfect size for a couple's retreat. However, we had a couple of issues with Terrahawk. We experienced both scorpions and very large spiders in the house itself. Also, the mattress in the bedroom that we used was very hard and uncomfortable.
All in all though our Terrahawk vacation was wonderful and we plan on going back next year.

we had airconditioning! very close to town and the best saint John beaches. It
was great that Gibney is not a "popular" beach. Would not recommend a jeep
rental in Saint Thomas-people are rude and the car barge was late .We nearly
missed our flight. -

We have stayed at Terrahawk 3 times - and are looking forward to our next stay.Service has been exceptional- beyond expectation. (Ex.when our flight was delayed by several hours, someone from 'Catered to' picked up our rental car before the place closed) The house is kept very clean and in good repair.
It is a very private place,with a beautiful view,and within minutes of shops/restaurants/beaches.

Our first visit to St. John began with a Catered To representative meeting us
as we arrived on the ferry. She greeted us warmly, drove us to the car
rental location, took care of the business there and drove us to Terrahawk,
the villa we had rented. She was a great source of information about the
town of Cruz Bay, the North Shore, and the villa. We were very pleased with
the villa as she gave us a tour, explained its features, and showed us the
short path to the beautiful beach on Hawksbeak Bay. We were also
pleasantly surprised with the arrangements of tropical flowers and some
food and drink provisions to see us through to the next day. These were
unexpected and helped us relax after a long day of travel.
One day after time at a beach snorkeling, we returned to the villa to find one
of the air conditioners not working. We phoned Catered To to inform them
of this problem. Their maintenance man was there in ten minutes! He had
the problem analyzed quickly and returned the next morning to do the
repairs. We were impressed with this speedy service.
Terrahawk was the perfect villa for our visit. Our purpose of going to St.
John was to go snorkeling in the Caribbean. Since it is located on the north
shore it was short drive to many beaches. We snorkeled at 12 different
locations that week. One of our favorites spots, however, was at the beach
we could walk to from Terrahawk. We saw many fish, but also spotted
squid, a nurse shark, and an octopus who put on quite a show for us.
When we return to St. John we will definitely use Catered To and hope to
stay at Terrahawk again. -

Terrahawk is a delightful house with an enchanting view and direct walking access to a wonderful beach. The setting is simply spectacular, high above Hawksnest Bay and the Oppenheimer-Gibney Beach, one of the "poster" beaches on St. John.
Although only a 10 minute drive to Cruz Bay and only a 3 minute drive to world renowned Caneel Bay Resort, the house with its lushly landscaped grounds provides a remote paradise for beach and nature lovers. The house itself is charming in its tasteful simplicity, casual elegance and very attractive decor and furnishings, providing everything one needs for a great vacation. There is no swimming pool but who needs one with one of the world's best beaches literally at your doorstep. For nearly 20 years, this magnificent setting was my vacation home away from home. What greater testimony than this can I offer about this truly marvelous place? -

After visiting St. John multiple times, I discovered Terrahawk villa. I have stayed nowhere else since! I even took my wife there to propose in 2006, then went back in 2007 for our wedding and honeymoon. The villa is so conveniently located to Gibney/Oppenheimer beach that it's just a short walk down the hill to the best beach on the planet. Plenty of trees to string up my hammock as well. The A/C is plenty strong but you can still open the doors and enjoy the sea breezes. The kitchen is adequately equipped and in good order. It is truly the perfect getaway for a couple or "a couple of couples". The neighboring villa, Callaloo, has always been empty when I visited, so I have never had a parking problem, but I can imagine that it gets tight if both houses are at max capacity. But then, that's St John!
Also, Catered To has ALWAYS taken care of me. I've rented from three other management companies on St. John, and none compare. They are the best! -

My husband and I have loved all eleven of our stays at Terrahawk. The house has been clean and welcoming every single time. We eat out every night that we are on the island, however, the kitchen is well provisioned for anyone who wanted to cook almost anything. The beds are very comfortable, the closets are loaded with hangers and the towels are thick. There are plenty of beach towels too. My husband insists on airconditioned bedrooms and lucky for us, all of Terrahawk is airconditioned! We are grateful for the safe for our valuables. Anytime we needed something repaired, the workmen have arrived in a timely fashion. And how can anyone say anything negative about the location? The North Shore is the best. Clearly we love Terrahawk or we would not have continued to book it year after year. Also, one last comment. Sharon, the housekeeper, is a wonderful woman. She is such a hardworker and is a sweetheart. We look forward to seeing her every year.
