With a wealth of exposed beams, flag floors and a cosy sitting room with multi fuel stove, this property exudes period charm and is able to sleep just two people in the large double bedroom– making it an ideal romantic retreat in this wild landscape. Renovated to a very high standard, this superb stone-built mid-terrace cottage is situated in a quiet corner of the famous village of Haworth. Just ten miles from Skipton, this cottage subtly combines a contemporary feel with original features and creates a wonderfully welcoming atmosphere. Outdoors is a small patio area with garden furniture ideal for al fresco dining, whilst the nearby t...owns of Skipton and Harrogate provide a wealth of local amenities and activities.

Note: Original stone staircase is quite steep and narrow with worn treads and may be unsuitable for those with limited mobility.

Town: Home to the famous Bronte sisters, the small village of Haworth and the surrounding moorland inspired the women to put pen to paper and to write what have now become classics of English literature. With its myriad of curiosity and antique shops, alleyways and cobbled streets, there is a wonderful period atmosphere in this charming town set against the backdrop of countryside that would eventually be made famous in ‘Wuthering Heights’. The Worth Valley Railway is also nearby and was used in the film 'The Railway Children'. Trips around the old village of Oxenhope on the wonderful steam trains make for a special day out whilst The Bronte Parsonage museum, East Riddlesden Hall, and the Museum of Rail all make equally good attractions whilst the market town of Skipton – often called the Gateway to the Yorkshire Dales – is only a short drive away.Read more

All prices are inclusive of the booking fee. The "Min. Per Night" prices quoted are based on the weekly rental price, they are not applicable for short breaks. See our short break policy or ask for further details.
Winter Short Breaks (WSB) are available at many properties in the "Winter" period - subject to availability. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. Off Season Breaks (OSB) are available at many properties in parts of the "Low" and "Mid" periods - subject to availability. The price for a 3 night break is either 75% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. OSBs can be booked within a calendar month of the start date of the holiday. "Last Minute Breaks" (LMB) are available at most properties throughout the "LOW", "MID", "HIGH", "PEAK", "XMAS" and "NEW YEAR" periods. The price for a 3 night break is either 65% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. LMBs can be booked within one week of the start date of the holiday.

  Folly Cottage is a charming old cottage fully modenised but still keeping it's old charm and charactor.
  it is ideally situated, only about 3 minutes walk from Haworh Main Street, and 10 minutes walk to Haworth Station. I oly used my car once in the week.

  We've stayed in many self-catering cottages/apartments in the UK, and Folly Cottage was undoubtedly the best, most comfortable and enjoyable. I couldn't recommend it highly enough, and that's from decades of travel experience! It was a grand holiday, made even more perfect by our delightful accommodation.

  The cottage was as described with the worn stone stairs to the first floor being a problem due to lack of adequate handrail on the wall side and being open on the room side. Also parking outside the property was a problem on a couple of occassions when either tradesmen working opposite or other people parked their vehicles outside the front door.

  Very Good location. Cottage is a wonderful mix of the old and new. Take heed though with regard to the pointer about the stair case, would not suit anyone with mobility problems or the elderly.
  Vey clean, welcomed with fresh flowers and fruit and wine - lovely touch. Well equipped kitchen meant we could prepare meals without the expense of constantly having to eat out.
  Would recommend without hesitation.

  This is an extremely tiny cottage but in a great position within walking distance of all facilities in this pretty village. Accommodation was perfectly comfortable (especially the bed and the spacious modern shower) but because the kitchen was so tiny all the equipment was necessarily very compact and a bit difficult to negotiate. There was no microwave. Also the original stone staircase may have been a bit tricky for some, though this was clearly stated in advance. I was unable to find instructions for the heating and hot water controls or the oven (which needed a match to light it); no doubt all simple "when you know how" but frustrating for a new arrival who may be tired and hungry after a journey. Sorry - these are very minor niggles (which could, therefore, be easily remedied) and overall I had a great holiday in this lovely part of the world.
