Maple Grove, MinnesotaGreat place for family gatherings
Left on 07/16/2012 for a stay in July 2012
We had our first "family' vacation with all of our kids/grandkids ages 15 months on up. We rented the Big Musky cabin and it was perfect for our size group, 3 bedrooms and 2 baths. It also has a wonderful front porch that runs the width of the cabin and you can see the lake! The resort has the convenience of covered boat slips which was wonderful for us as we just reupholstered our boat so didn't have to worry about covering it every night. Kids, grandkids (& grandma) had a great time in the lake between swimming, floating, paddle boats, and cruising on the boat (and teaching two kids to kneeboard). We couldn't have asked for better weather..sunny days with a couple nights of rain. Very relaxing!! We'll do this again! Thanks a bunch to Stacey and Joe!!!

Menomie,WIA great location to spend with family
Left on 04/11/2011 for a stay in August 2010
We went to celebrate our parents 50 wedding anniversay. We used 5 cabins. Our family parents, 6 adult children and there spouces. Plus the Kids ages 10 and up. We all were treated to a fun relaxing visit. there is much to do: fishing , hikking 4-wheeling , canoeing, kayaking, swiming, site seeing or soaking up some sun. When you just want to sit and enjoy the beautiful setting, from your cabin, from the lodge or sitting right on the lake. The lake was nice.. Not crazy busy like some places . The cabins all different, but very clean. Modernized for comfort with the historic nature intacked. The cabins were all close to the lake , but private enough so you can relax. Stacy and Joe are great hosts... So much so that my dad that rarely leaves home , has booked us again for a family week this summer. This summer we will look for more information about other things to do in the area. The tough part was being out of the cabins by the 9am check out time

We have been vacationing at Virgin Timber for the past 10+ years. It is beautiful in all seasons and very quiet and serene. We have vacationed in the summer with our son and children and in the fall for fishing season. The colors in the fall are georous. The pizza at Virgin Timber is so awesome that I wish I lived closer so I could have it more often. It is definetly a place everyone should visit.

Quiet Moose Lake
Muscatine, IowaQuiet privacy in a pleasant lake side log home
Left on 04/06/2011 for a stay in July 2010
We enjoy or annula three weeks at Moose Lake which we
have been doing for almost thirty years. We enjoy the location and the folksiness of the resort. We boat, take long walks, swim and kayak on the lake and in the area. We enjoy spending time on the screened in porch overlooking the lake. We also enjoy using the lodge for
snacks and an occaisonal meal. Stacey and Joe make
us feel welcome and are always eager to help in any way.
