Description from the owner
Our privately owned self catering lodge is set in the award winning 4 star wildlife and golf resort of Kruger Park Lodge - South Africa. Within easy access of the Kruger National park and scenic sights of the Blyde River Canyon.
Cambalala meaning "relax" in Zulu is located in Hazyview, South Africa within the award winning 4 star golf and wildlife resort of Kruger Park Lodge, which is a luxurious resort on the banks of the Sabie River in Mpumalanga.
The chalet is nestled serenely in a quiet part of the resort. Away from main thoroughfare traffic and flying golf balls, but still only just a few steps from all the action. There is a...bundant birdlife, free roaming Impala and other animals all around.
Cambalala is a spacious chalet which sleeps up to 8 adults. There are 3 spacious airconditioned bedrooms. Downstairs is an ensuite double room and a semi ensuite twin room. Upstairs is a large, light and airy loft area which sleeps 4 on two single beds and a bunk bed. All rooms have fitted double wardrobes, dressing tables with mirrors and hairdryers.
The loft has a 2 seater sofa, bean bags and flat screen TV, which makes it an ideal separate living area for the kids. There is also a handmade wooden cot for the very little. All bedrooms have ceiling fans in addition to air-conditioning. Linen and towels are provided.
The lounge, with the dining area to the rear, has direct access to the outside entertainment area, which is where you will probably spend most of your time when not out on Safari. There is 1 three seater sofa, 1 two seater sofa, 1 arm chair and a coffee table for your comfort. The flat screen television is housed in a cabinet and French doors open out onto the decking.
The dining area has a 6 seater wooden table. The fully equipped kitchen houses everything you would expect: an oven and hob with extractor fan, washer/dryer, large fridge freezer, microwave, toaster, kettle, etc. With plenty storage space and granite work surfaces throughout.
The wooden decked entertainment area outside is the perfect spot to spend an afternoon reading a book or an evening cooking and recounting your adventures of the day. Like any truly South African abode Cambalala is equipped with a large built in braai or barbeque with storage and work surfaces to cater for all your al fresco eating needs. Alternatively, there are many great restaurants in the area including the one in the Kruger Park Lodge resort itself.Read more

Beautiful House in a great location
This accommodation was very good - having 3 bedrooms and plenty of beds its idea for a family or group of friends - the location is excellent - near to Kruger for the beastie lovers, surrounded by action sports for the active and options for relaxing for the passive. We will return!!!!

Home away from home
The service received at Cambalala was very professional, I was quite happy with how my booking was handled. When we arrived at the house, it was home away from home. Everything that you need in a house is there, you only bring your groceries. The kids loved the impalas that were roaming around in the lodge. We also loved the fact that the mall is not even a kilometre from the lodge as we had arrived late and still had to go and do some shopping. We enjoyed our stay so much that it felt that a weekend was not enough to thoroughly enjoy the place. The kids had so much fun and have asked to return to the Kruger Park Lodge.

The place to stay.
This is the perfect place to stay when visiting the Kruger National Park as it is only 10km form the Phabeni Gate. The staff of Cambalala are very friendly and helpfull. The house was very clean and we felt very safe. The food in the restaurant was delicious. We will be back.

Perfect stay at a wonderful venue.
Thank you Cambalala, we had an awesome stay! Our unit was equipped with everything we needed and was kept clean. There was a DVD player so we watched a special DVD during our stay. We could not get over the quality of the linen...waking up to the beautiful lake was also so therapeutic. We will definitely come back.
What a fabulous stay. The accomodation was perfect and the setting simply beautiful!

Stayed at Cambalala for 4 nights, and barring our first 24 hours with no water due to a burst pipe, our stay was pleasant and comfortable. The staff were initially not forthcoming in giving an indication of when the water would be restored, but after numberous calls the day after our arrival, we finally started getting some answers and the water came on that evening. The accommodation was very comfortable and had all the amenities we required, except for a broom! But the cleaning lady did come in daily to sweep and vacuum. The resort itself, Kruger Park Lodge, is a beautiful Golf Estate with lots to do for little ones and loads of wildlife on the resort such as buck, monkeys and hippos. The location was trully perfect with easy access to local shopping centres, restaurants, activities and the Kruger Park.
Memorable...for all the right reasons
Brilliant accommodation, especially for families. Well equipped, well located . Would definitely visit again!

very lovely half of a serial house in a wonderful surrounding.
We were allowed to spend a wonderful holiday in this so excellent lodge, which was featured this year 2014 as the best lodge of South africa. The serial house was large and fully equipped with everything. We enjoyed every morning to be awaked by the noise of birds no other noises. When you look outside, eyou will find Impalas between the houses and a wonderful and well kept surrounding, the houses, trees, pools, golf fields. Breakfast and Diner inside of the reataurant of the reception is great, the fish, the steaks and the drinks as well. All staff is very friendly, trustworthy and helpful. Everyone is bothered to complete all wishes you have. And 300m away from the entry of the lodge you will find a really big shopping mall where you can buy everything. We will come back again, it was a great feeling all this wondeful nature so closed ...
We simply loved it :):):) and want to return :):):)
Excellence the South african way!
The accommodation as well as the surroundings were very beautiful.I requested a barrier for the stairs up to the loft as we were travelling with a one year old. I was very impressed to see that one had been provided by the owner as promised - it was good to once again experience South african efficiency and service!
I was very impressed with reception as well. All members of staff, including the cleaners were all very friendly, helpful and professional. We had a problem with a ceiling fan which I reported one evening after a day outing. Before I arrived at the house the maintenance team was already ready and waiting to sort out the problem. Congratulations to all for your excellence. We were well situated to do numerous outings like the Kruger Park, the Blyde River Canyon, the Cheetah Conservation Programme close to Hoedspruit (a definate must), etc. The house was perfectly kept and very well equipped.
It was the most beautifull and comfortable stay we ever had!!!
Cleaning service was great. Excellent service at front desk.
Fantastic living quaters. Everyting was up to standard. Beautuful house very cosy.
Location and surrounds were beautiful.
The serenity put my mind at ease.
I have been many times in KPL before, although it was my first time in this chalet. I have introduced KPL to my daughters and my overseas visitors, all of them loved it and would like to come back and for longer. I would suggest one improvement though. It was very hot there and the pm sun got right into the patio, so extendable awning would be a definitive improvement.
Easily found this accommodation, travelling from Johannesburg. Check-in was easy. The lodge itself is very comfortable and tastefully furnished. It is very spacious, we were 4 adults and had plenty of room. It is set in a beautiful location, I particularly like the hippo hide and pool. We also made use of the restaurant which offered a good choice at reasonable prices. Only a 10 minute drive to the Kruger Park Phabeni Gate and conveniently located across from a shopping mall.
Excellent service at reception. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The house was very well furnished and very clean, which made us feel at home. The kitchen was very well equipped. The facilities at the resort are top notch and the buck roaming freely around the resort was absolutely beautiful to see. It was a great experience and a relaxing weekend, will definitely be back.
i had great time and it was jst over the weekend but it was the greatest time of my life, place is clean nd neat most def am coming bck soon
Relaxing and Pleasant
Cambalala is well positioned in Hazeyview, which allows for you to visit the region's scenic hot spots and return home to a comfortable unit.
The Kruger Park Lodge location is beautiful and clean. The unit itself is well equipped and equally clean.
Raymond has been professional with his follow ups.
My experience at Cambalala was undoubtedly relaxing, pleasant, and fully enjoyable. Excellent if you're taking the kids!
7th time we stayed at KPL .Situated close to park .Cambalala facilities great .Well appointed and very comfortable.
Best family accommodation for a steal.
Upon arrival, hassle free sign-in at reception (friendly too). Fully furnished home away from home, kids loved it. Easy access to all planned destinations (Kruger Park, Graskop, Hazyview, Sabi). We loved everything about it. Made our holiday.
Lovely, peaceful getaway.
The service was excellent. Accomodation very neat, clean and luxurious. The setting and atmosephere was just what we were looking for. Thank you for making our stay excellent.
We had a lovely family stay at Camabala. It's certainly a home away from home. Highly recommended!!!
Thank you for hosting us at this beautiful place.By show of all the pictures we took there, al our other friends that could not make it,envy us to this day.
Awesome relaxing time had by all
We visited Cambalala for a getaway last weekend. The setting of the house was tranquil and beautiful with the sounds of birds chirping and a stream in the background. This set the tone for a relaxed weekend away from the Joburg hustle and bustle. We had absolutely everything we needed to have a great time, the place is fully and sufficiently equipped. Our place was serviced by Thandi who obliged by coming to clean later than normal, since we spent a lot of time relaxing at the house itself. She was great too! We also managed to secure a later check out time which extended our mini break too. Would have been great if we stayed longer, lesson learnt! Thank you so very much!
I would like to thank Raymond and Cambalala for the excellent service we received with the ladies, its was the Best, difenetly will come bqack next yeat
Korean Tour Leader
Most value for money.
I toured with a group of Korean's and stayed in various lodges during our 10 day Golf & Safari tour from North West, Mpumalanga & Polokwane but above all of them Cambalala-Kruger Park Lodge stood out as real value for money. Cambalala was 15% of the actual cost compared to those in North West and definitely having a higher star rating in the quality and finishing's. Cambalala is highly recommended.
women of virtue
more than expectation
-Beautiful place to be as couples, family or friends, beyond. expectations more than a five star hotel and home away from
- located in a quite place close 2 the mall and kruger national park.
-we really liked the unit we stayed in,swimming pools and security of the place
very good experience
The resort is nearby the Kruger park and a big shopping mall where is easy to play and to live. The chalet is big and nice, which is suitable for a big family to have a holiday. If having chance I would like to live there again.
An amazing Experience!
This was an amazing experience to stay at Cambalala! It is very easily accessible and the tranquility is unbelievable. I will definitely rate this as my top 2 places to stay in south africa! Cambalala will se me again in the near future.
Breathtaking Ultra Luxurious Holiday
Cambalala Cambalala most beautiful paradise in Mpumalanga it has that reputation for a good reason! Simply outstanding and luxury private accommodation on a self catering perfectly situated in the forests, .mountain, rivers waterfalls of Mpumalanga. Where they are popular attractions and panoramic families, friend's couples can go on holidays. International airport and in close proximity to Nelspruit, White River and the Kruger National Park, in an area known for its natural beauty and excellent climate. I have experience nature and explore all the Lowveld has to offer.
Comfortable and homely, close to Kruger Park
We stayed in Cambalala for the second year in a row. It is a home-from-home experience, comfortable with everything you need. We enjoyed the large patio which overlooks the Sabi River. Self-catering with staff who clean every day. Close to the park and many tourist attractions.

A comfortable stay in a neat and safe environment.
Everything what we hoped for. Good service. Neat and well equipped home. Safe location.
Pristine Setting, Luxury catering, Serene surroundings...
10 Out of 10 Cambalala!
We had a wonderful stay at your lodge, where the finer details are taken care of. The surroundings are lovely, and the units are execeptionally well equipped. This is the ideal family getaway, and I will recommend you at any time.
Overall a stunning place to stay.
All you need
We had a great time at Cambalala, the accomodation was clean, convenient and well situated to visit the surrounding areas. The service we recieved from the Lodge was great and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Amazing family accommodation
a huge thank you from us for the awesome time we spent at your accommodation. We felt at home from the minute we were there, everything was excellent and our only disappointment was that we had to leave so soon :( but thank you we will most definately be back there!! and thank you Raymond for your accommodating and excellent service from beginning to end! Regards The Wright Family
Really enjoyed our stay at Cambalala, felt like home away from home.Everything we needed to make our stay comfortable was available and in good working condition, I will definetely be staying there again in future and have already recommended it to friends.
It was like being at home
Wonderfully equipped with everything you need to have all the home comforts. Beautifully furnished and decorated . Will definately go there again. Resort was wellstaffed and secure.
We were most impressed with Cambalala. Thank you very much for a lovely few days. We enjoyed the impala grazing at our doorstep and the monkeys. Very clean and neat, Will definitely be coming back again!
Heaven in a nut shell
We have enjoyed our stay, totally love it and most definatly coming back.
It is such a beautiful and peaceful place... I have no complains and would rate you 100/10, it is beyond excellent
We had a terrific stay at Cambalala - the chalet was well equipped and tastefully decorated. We will definitely return in the near future.
Luxury getaway we will never forget!!
What an incredible holiday we had at Cambalala! The place was even better in person than in the photos. (And the photos were incredible and is what attracted us to the lodge in the first place) We never felt like we were staying in the bush, we felt like we were staying in some fine hotel that one would pay an arm and a leg for. The place was spotless, with not even an ant in sight. We felt so safe and at home it was truly amazing. We will definitely be back, and Cambalala will hopefully become our holiday home of choice for our annual Kruger Park trip! Thanks Raymond and team for an incredible holiday! One we will never forget!
Relaxation at it's best
Eating breakfast with a crocodile, out of this world neh!
Great location, beautiful grounds and very comfortable lodge
Perfect location for Southern Kruger and Blyde River Canyon. Safe and secure, Beautiful estate with Resident Hippo and Impala on the golf course.

Excellent but for the Mosquitos
Cambala is a very nice holiday lodge, well maintained and very clean. We were in the unit overlooking the pond (234B) which was perfect except for the Mosquitos, the unit would greatly benefit from mosquito screens on windows & doors. The grounds of Kruger Park Lodge are beautifully maintained and we enjoyed the golf course
My unforgetable night
It is a wonderful and wellcoming place indeed. we enjoyed ourselves and relieved a lot of stress. one thing is that we tried looking for an iron to no avail pls check it as i will be a regular visitor to your place. i like the way you doing follow ups with your clients that helps a lot and make sure that all the admin is attended to in time. I will recommend this place to most senior force structure elements in the Department of Defence and once again thank you for awarding us an opportunity to stay at your place.
Truly wonderful stay
16 family members - 7 children and 9 adults, had 5 nights at Cambala. It was amazing. The children were well entertained on the property whilst the adults enjoyed a relaxing time. The close proximity of the Kruger and the action sports etc. in the area, contributed to our overall enjoyment. Access to good supermarkets made grocery shopping a piece of cake. We will definitely do our best to get to Cambalala again.
Staffordshire United Kingdom
We stayed at Cambalala Kruger Park Lodge for 3 nights. We were a group of 8 friends travelling together from the UK and found the accommodation at Cambalala very spacious. The house was clean and well serviced and had everything we needed. The facilities at the Kruger Park Lodge are brilliant and we enjoyed watching the hippos from the hippo hide. It was a pleasure dealing with the owner, Raymond, everything was organised as arranged with no problems at all. I would definately recommend Cambalala and hope to return in the future.
Ideal family holiday home
Pleasantly surprised with the excellent service received from booking enquiry to home to departure. The home was of an exceptional standard and I will definitely revisit Cambalala:-)
Ideal Family Bush Breakaway
We had an absolutely fantastic time on our Kruger Park adventure, using Cambalala as our "base" for our 4-night getaway with friends. The unit is so comfortable and extremely well equipped. Ideal for a family that includes children (that loft room is like a fantasy hideaway for kids). The location was perfect and we found the unit to be well positioned in Kruger Park Lodge, in a quiet, tranquil and scenic spot. Bbq dinners on the patio after a day of wildlife viewing in Kruger were the perfect way to end the day, and the bedrooms were really comfortable so we slept really well too! We shall definitely return. Cambalala was immaculate and also felt like a home-away-from home, with the added benefit of Kruger Park so close by and all the facilities of Kruger Park Lodge resort on our doorstep - perfect! Thank you!!!
My brother, who was booked in at another resort, visited me for supper. He immediately tried to make a booking, but unfortunately it was booked out already. This proves that he was as impressed as I was.
My son and his friend enjoyed their personal space in the loft. Normally a new environment requires that you need time to adjust but this was home away from home.A homely atmosphere with all the neccessry gadgets.
Together, my mother and I took long, safe walks and pickniced along the pond next to the house, while the ducks and birds rendered a concert for us.
The only problem we had was that we could only check by 16H00 but had to leave at 10H00.That was dissiponting because we wanted to savour more of the experience.
Lovely time indeed!
We stayed at Cambalala Unit 234B from 6 to 8 July 2012. We had such a lovely time.
The unit was well equipped, well maintained and very clean. It was beyond mine and everyone's expectations and the kids absolutely loved the loft room - it was like their oasis!
Within the first 5 minutes of checking in, we already wished we booked in for a longer stay.
We will definitely be back soon!
Relaxation in comfort - close to nature and experience
Our stay was pleasant from arrival to departure. The unit is comfortable and well equipped, clean and convenient. Our only minor issue was a poorly functioning aircon unit in the master bedroom. The Kruger Park Lodge area itself is very pleasant with many things to do and see.
The lodge location close to Hazyview is very good, close to Kruger and other area attraction, as well as all services / amenities at Hazyview.
We will certainly consider returning in the future!
Response from Raymond - 04/18/2012
I'm glad you enjoyed your stay and I'm really sorry about the aircon issues you experienced. I'll get it sorted right away. - Thanks for letting me know about it.
we realy enjoyed are stay at Kruger Park Lodge challet nummber 239a. Rhe alternative opposite was also fine, but there were no curtains above, so our son woke up verry eraly. The next day, when we left that challet, carpenters came to fix it. That was a dissapointment. Further was it a perfect palce tp stay. Read more
Response from Raymond - 04/18/2012
Thanks for your review. I've since confirmed with you that the unit with no curtains was not one of Cambalala's units. It was another unit that you stayed in prior to moving to my unit. - I'm sorry for the inconvenience caused I was unaware that the unit was not 100% complete and I've contacted the other homeowner to forward your comments.
An Incredible Holiday
From the start to end, this was an incredible experience. Raymond was very helpful throughout and provided all the necessary information for an enjoyable stay.
The house was clean and well equipped. We were very comfortable although there were only four of us - I think it will be quite cramped with more than 6 people.
Oh! what great stay..
I stayed for two nights with my friends, we really wished we could extend to a week we didn't wanna go back to Gauteng, all i can say is i've never had such a wonderful holiday in my life, i'm hoping to come back very soon. I promise you i will never book any other accomodation whenever i go to mpumalanga, Cambalala is my home in Mpumalanga. Keep up the good work!!

Home away From Home
We entered the main gate of the resort and already the reception was warm and inviting (The salute the lady gave us at the gate made us feel like royalty indeed). Please pass on my sincere gratitude to the entire reception staff who assisted us with all the administrative staff...and when I forgot the unit number as well!
The cleaners were also amazing...even though they refused to give me dishwashing liquid to tidy-up the kitchen sink!!! Lol (see, where I come from, one needs to clean up after herself).
The unit ne, wow! It spelled "home" the minute you enter through the door. The place was well maintained and extremely clean and fresh. No complaints at all. No ants, no monkeys, no bathroom dramas.
Thanks a lot to you and your team for a well spent vacation to one of the most beautiful places in the country.
Beautiful House - Wonderful Location
Cambalala is a beautiful house in an ideal location. Raymond was very helpful and accommodating. Raymond answered all my questions and concerns - I would recommend this house in a heartbeat.
Wonderful experience beyond expectations
Pleasant stay - although very short - would have loved to have spent more time - travelled with 4 kids (17,17,11 & 9) - facilities at the lodge kept them entertained - felt completely safe.
The only thing that I would have like available in the property was more info about the kruger - as I didn't get an opportunity to find out a lot of info before the trip - it would have been nice to have some reading material that would have assisted better for a self drive tour into the Kruger - as a 1st timer to the park I felt that I should have been better prepared - maybe just a map indicating the entry gates to the park - however overall a pleasant stay
We had a wonderful stay at Cambalala and would not hesitate to recommend this accommodation. The most pleasurable part of our stay was watching the Giant Eagle Owls in the tree right outside our Chalet and the Monitor Lizards, abundance of birds and monkey's etc.
we were there to cambalala
if was nic experience for us to be there we realy enjoy very much

Perfect Kruger Park location!
Wonderful accommodation in a beautiful setting. Convenient for both Kruger Park and other scenic attractions. Plenty of outdoor activities both in the resort and close-by. Went on an awesome game drive with a tour company recommended to us by the owner of Cambalala. We could happily have spent another week at Cambalala and will definitely return!

We had an awesome time
We found the place more beautiful than we ever imagined. It exceeded all our expectations. The service we received from Raymond was great since the day we started with enquiries up to the last day. We loved the decor in the house, everything you need is there. There's a complex outside and you'll be able to grab anything that you need.
Everything was up to the standard
The house was clean.
The home is nice and warm fully equiped makes you feel at realy at home.
Lovely accommodation. The lodge was very well equipped, clean, practical and comfortable. The complex and surroundings are wonderful, very well maintained and beautifully set up as well as calm and relaxing. Well situated near town and not far from the Kruger park. We loved the seeing the hippos. The kids enjoyed the swimming pool and walking around the little lakes. We only stayed 2 nights but would have loved to stay longer. Overall, we highly recommend this accommodation. The descriptions on the web site do not do it justice as it is even better than what we expected.
Beautiful, Relaxing, Hassle Free with breathtaking views!
Cambalala is one of the most well kept and well organized Lodges I've ever visited. The grounds are gorgeous and I wish we stayed longer to explore all there is to see and do (on the grounds alone). The house is beautifully decorated and has all that you will need to make your stay comfortable. It's lovely and cool and luxurious. Truly a place I will visit again and again.
Lovely accomodation. Fabulous holidays. Very good staff. Thanks a lot
The place was fine, but management was not
The place was nice and comfortable, but only for a short while.
At the risk of sounding rude, I must say, I was not 100% happy with the Kruger Park management. During our stay, the kept calling us every chance they got telling us to adhere to the rules of the place which were not mentioned to us when we booked for the place.
I don't mean to be rude, but as a young person, when I go out, partying and having fun is my main priority, and there could never be partying without music, we had to stay there the whole 4 days without music, all because of a neighbour who had to read a book. We travelled 400km, and we expected to have have, but we didn't.
My suggestion would be for Cambalala to accommodate everyone(extrovets and introvets), maybe separate quiet people to people who don't mind the noise, and I promise, your place would attract more people, especially youngsters
relaxing time in Hazyview
Kpl is a great venue and Cambalala is a very relaxing and comfortable venue, everything we needed was provided. The upstairs makes a great "teen" pad.
worwhile stop over
Besides the toilet seat that shattered and the microwave that broke when warming a baby bottle. It was super. Beautifully decorated. Ideal for a family vacation
Tampa Florida USA
Perfect spot - close to Kruger Park and loads of activities
We stayed at Cambalala Unit 234B for 2 nights - wish we could have stayed longer. Wonderful place, we were very comfortable and happy at Cambalala.
The house was ultra clean with luxury linens and all the amenities you could think of. The outside patio braai/BBQ area was especially great.
So much to do in the area, not enough time just to relax - make sure you plan for several days! The Kruger Park Lodge with it's roaming Impala, Hippo pool, abundant bird life and good security makes this place a must for your Lowveld holiday.
Supermarket just around the corner and Raymond is very responsive and helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay - thank you
Not very comfortable for 6 adults, insufficient ablution space
We felt that the house was much too small for that many people & felt mislead by the way you advertise the house. Also very cold, little or no sun reaches the patio whilst we were there. The bathroom facilities are totally in adquate & not conducive for sharing. Lack of any toilet facilities upstairs is extremely inconvenient 2nd bedroom very small, as well as inside eating space as the weather was not suitable for eating on patio. Also parking space very limited. Overall opinion of all who joined us was very disappointing & misleading from the web pictures & discription. Also monkeys a hugh problem as unable to open any windows or doors. Would not book this kind of accomadation again. Read more
Response from Raymond - 08/20/2011
I'm really sorry to hear that your stay at Cambalala was not enjoyable.
Of the +- 285 bookings we have had over the past 2.5 years yours is by far the most negatively commented stay I've ever had, so I'd like to respond in detail to your comments:
The house you stayed in is usually very popular with our guests. Even though we charge almost half the price of the normal resort prices; The unit has been graded as a 4 star self-catering unit by the Tourism Grading Council of South Africa. The TGCSA is the official tourism grading organisation in South Africa and they have a very strict grading system. We are currently in the process of renewing that grading as well as having our 2nd unit graded also.
The house is very accurately reflected on our website both both the description as well as the pictures. We have described the unit and its facilities in full. The pictures on the website are all pictures of the exact house that you stayed in. The 3d virtual tour of the house also shows exactly what level of accommodation that our guests are to stay in. Taking these points into account I'm at a total loss as to why you feel that you were misled in any way.
I agree that the unit could do with a 3rd bathroom upstairs but unfortunately this is not the way the unit was designed and none
of the other units in the resort of this style accommodating 8 guests have an upstairs bathroom.
Unfortunately there’s not much we can do about winter sun not shining adequately on the patio. I can assure you that in Summer
time you would welcome any reprieve that the surrounding trees may offer during the day. I've never noticed a lack of sun myself
but then again i do spend most of my time out and about when visiting the area.
For the colder months; the unit is adequately heated with 3 air-conditioning units which all have heating functionality.
Additionally heaters can be requested from reception at any time.
With regards to dining space inside the house: There is a 6 seater dining table with 6 chairs inside the house and you were
a party of 6 guests so I fail to understand the problem.
Parking: There is official parking for 3 Cars at the unit you stayed in. There is even space to park just on the road outside the house
if you have more than 3 cars or trailers etc. If you had more than 3 cars then I could understand if you felt a little limited but
so far you are the first guest to ever complain about the Parking. (As well as a number of other things mentioned above).
Finally... Monkeys will be monkeys... I guess the bushveld is not for everyone. Some guests enjoy their antics some don't.
They're protcted wildlife and roam the resort freely. Sometimes they can be a pest but mostly they're just good fun to watch.
Please try to remember that this is a wildlife resort and there are monkeys and other wildlife living in the resort.
This truly is a wonderful holiday home and an overwhelming majority of our guests have had fantastic holidays here and many return time and again for quality accommodation at very reasonable prices.
Thanks again for your comments.

Great place to stay
We traveled to South africa on a Mission trip to Msavanini and Thulamahashe, we found this location to be an excellent base camp for our team, its proximity to the mall and to the highway made it easy for us to refurbish supplies and get adequate rest.
Luxury stay at Cambalala Lodge
Comfortable and convenient
It was a great experience staying in Cambalala Lodge with my husband and children. It was a pleasant surprise that the unit was fitted with a washing machine which meant less time spent at the laundromat and more time with my family. The unit was luxurious with a great view and the best place we stayed during our 3 week holiday in Mpumalanga. We would have loved to stay longer at this location.
Great Spot - Time spent there too short
We were very happy with all aspects of the accommodation.
A place to unwind
After an ovenight flight this is an ideal place to unwind and make use of the very good facilities on site

Great resort area near Kruger Park
Our group of friends had a wonderful stay for two nights at Cambala Lodge. We enjoyed sitting outside watching the antics of the monkeys and the birds and took full advantage of the kitchen and braai facilities. It is also a great place for families!
I was very sceptical at first about 10 days in the Kruger Park region with kids, but it was excellent. The resort offers something for everyone, the kids were busy from the moment we got up until the moment we went to sleep. The accommodation was very very comfortable and there is everything you need in the chalets. The views are spectacular and the staff are amazing. A special word of thanks to Pricilla our housekeeper who did an amazing job and nothing was to much trouble. All is all increadible and we will definitly be back.
My friends and i had the best star treatment at your chalets, i would really come back again. the service was good the place very clean and neat its really a beatiful place i have even recomended my other friends to come there, they will be booking anytime from now.
Cambalala & Kruger Park Lodge Have It all!
Our family of four from Minneapolis, Minnesota truly enjoyed our time at Cambalala & Kruger Park Lodge. Ramond, your "home away from home" is beautiful and had everything we needed for a cozy stay. It's spacious, delightfully decorated and minutes from Kruger Park. The option of staying in a golf course community offers extra security (gated community), immaculate groomed grounds, convenient lodge and dining...and the added bonus of either golfing with or just watching the monkeys, impala, hippos, and other african wildlife! We loved our stay! Thanks Raymond for all you assistance in booking & other tips you gave us while visiting the Kruger Park area!

This was luxurious accommodation.
Really enjoyed my stay at this wonderful resort. The facilities were top-notch and we wanted for nothing. I will definitely return in Feb/March 2012.
The house smelled like it stood closed for a long period.
Eradicate the milldew smell as soon as possible. It was really bad. Main Bedroom double bed sheets had a tear in it needs replacing.
Otherwise fine and comfortable. Read more

Hi. Thanks for informing us about the sheet. - Our housekeepers do not always pass this sort of information along. I'll address this immediately.
We are aware of the damp smell. There is a part of our thatch roof that is not as waterproof as it should be. This is especially noticeable after prolonged periods of rain. - We are closing the unit in May 2011 for 1 week to comb the thatch and also repair the problem area once and for all. Unfortunately we have not been able to do this during the rainy season as the thatch needs to be dry in order to repair.
This is a wonderful home and we want to make sure your vacation experience is uninhibited.
If you have any questions please contact us directly and we will be happy to address your concerns.
*** Update - 30/05/2011 ***
The thatch has now been properly repaired and the leak fix was tested by spraying a fire hose at the roof for 30 minutes without any water getting into the house.

Thoroughly Enjoyable and Memorable
We were a group of 18 people, we had excellent service throughout our stay. All 3 units were clean, comfortable and based in a beautiful setting. Very conveniently located, close to all local amenities, as well as Kruger Park and other attractions. Plenty to do and keep everyone occupied whether a lazy day at one of the 3 swimming pools, playing golf on the grounds or visiting one of the local attractions. We will definitely be returning and recommending our friends to visit.
We stayed in 3 chalets and all were to a high standard, everything we needed was in the chalets and the rooms were all air conditioned. The resort itself is situated in the centre of all the tourist sights and is only 10 minutes from the Kruger Park. The resort also has everything one might need for recreation. We even saw a crocodile whilst playing golf which was great.I would highly recommend staying here.
Cambalala is perfect!
This had to be the best weekend i had in a long time - pure bliss and rest!!! i loved the fact that even though we got there at 2am, we were welcomed and there was just awesome service without delays.
At such an affordable rate, we had such peace of mind, relaxation at its best - and the place is sooo beautiful! i am definitely coming back very soon.
We had a lovely time at Cambalala. Service was good and the place is magnificent.
One issue though, we were a family of eight and the toilet paper ran out and was not replaced. You can understand that that may course some discomfort. Read more

Hi Farida. I'm sorry to hear about the toilet paper issue. This has never happened before. (been reported before). I have now contacted housekeeping and asked them to keep an eye on this in future. Please note that if you stay with us again in future at a discounted rate and have any issues during your stay. Please feel free to contact the resort reception and they will do their best to help in any way they can.
