The historic village of Haz-Zebbug or Città Rohan is one of the oldest towns in Malta. The Parish Church is dedicated to Philip of Agira and the feast is celebrated on the 2nd Sunday of June, although the actual feast day falls on the 12th day of May. The name of the town literally means "olives" in Maltese; it derives from the large olive groves that stood in and around the current location of the church and the centre of the town.
Haz-Zebbug is an ideal base from where to explore the Island and all it has to offer. There are many historic sites, museums, nightlife, beaches and sports facilities close by, thus car hire is recommended. ItIts neighbouring villages/towns include Attard, Rabat and Mdina - the Silent City - a gem of architecture, art and history.
. Mosta Dome famous for its Basilica is also nearby. For the golf enthusiasts the Marsa Sports Club is only 5 minutes away by car. Those wishing to visit Valletta, there's an efficient bus service running from Valletta to Haz-Zebbug and vice versa.

This spacious apartment was the perfect place for our family to enjoy and day's activities and have a peaceful night's rest. There is a wonderful terrace off the front of the apartment where you can enjoy your coffee in the morning. The town of Zebbug was a trip back in time, but the apartment had all the modern conveniences. Clean and safe, and you are able to park your vehicle on the street day or night. There is an elevator if you cannot manage the stairs. There is a wonderful market in the town square (which is less than a 5 minute walk away) where you can purchase your produce and it is there where you can get on the local buses and travel to Valletta if you don't drive. We had a fabulous time!

The apartment is situated in the centre of the island and therefore a good base location to visit all of Malta. The apartment is exceptionally clean and well catered with every attention to detail. The lift was also a godsend after a day in the summer heat and to take up the suitcases! Zebbug is close to Mdina which is my favourite place to visit. Zebbug is a typical Maltese town and definitely not a tourist area like Sliema and St. Paul's Bay - therefore, it is quiet in the evenings (except of course for the Feast of St Philip!) and a great place to relax, unwind and soak in the views of Mdina and Rabat, in the distance, from the terrace. If you fancy a bite to eat either at lunchtime or a bottle of wine and a light meal in the evening, I would highly recommend Ta'Pinu, run by anna, which is located at the side of Zebbug Parish Church. Rita was very helpful and friendly and was only a phone call away if we needed her - this was very reassuring. The air con units in the bedrooms and living area are also an absolute necessity in the summer months (especially as it is a penthouse) although, of course, they are an extra charge. A deposit of Euro 200 is also required for breakages etc. In conclusion, the apartment is furnished and fitted extremely well, the location for touring the island practical and, if you don't want to stay in a tourist area, pleasantly quiet in the evenings. Perhaps, with such a large terrace it may, in the future, be an idea for Rita to install a jacuzzi for holiday residents to enjoy if they so wish.

Property in a very quite residential street just a short walk from town centre in Haz-Zubbug.
Views of Mdina and Valletta from a very large and spacious balcony, which also has a gas BBQ. The kitchen is very well equipped with everything you will need for your stay. The penthouse is very large, spacious, and large windows allows plenty of light in. The owner is just a phone call away and is very helpful.If we visit Malta again we will certainly stay here.
To get the full experience of Malta a car is a must. We really enjoyed our first visit to Malta. -

I would like to thank Pureholidayhomes.com and the agent Rita Cassar for the excellent service received during the organisation of my trip to Malta last October. Honest and professional at all times, Rita was able to find me and my kids a superb flat that met all my requirements. It was indeed a pleasure to deal with her. Although the flat location (Haz-Zebbug) is not an area of glamour, it is only twenty minutes drive from the beach and from Valletta. Pureholidayhomes.com is a very well thought and user friendly website, and I was very impressed with the quick response, disposition and excellent high class service. We have just returned from a holiday staying in the penthouse apartment. The apartment is modern, clean with every facility. We expecially liked the sun terrace with loungers and the washing machine and dishwasher were a definite plus. On our first night we were treated to the most amazing fireworks display courtesy of the festa in St. Julians. Zebbug is far away from everything for a relaxing holiday but near enough to take advantage of some of Malta's more livelier resorts. Rita was on hand to help out if necessary and made us feel very welcome. Recommend that visitors hire a car and see the wonderful sights which Malta has to offer. Would definitely consider this apartment in the future.

Service - owner ( rita ) provides a great service - very friendly and helped us out with any local questions. Was always a phonecall away if we needed help.
Apartment - modern and clean, all services were provided in apartment and worked fine. Elevator also.
Location - great central location for exploring Malta by car.
Overall : one of several new apartments run by same owner in a recently renovated building. Location great if you want to explore all of Malta.
