Description from the owner

In the heart of the wine country, a golden room with private bath and a hot tub just outside on a deck overlooking the vineyards of Dry Creek Valley in Sonoma County, California. Separated from the main house, high up on a second floor over a quiet Feldenkrais studio, behind the garage, it has it's own entrance and much privacy....an aerie, your own private heaven. The eyes meet with dramatic views of the valley floor with Geyser Peak in the distance.

What a wonderful place to stay for local events! Find yourselves one mile from the Vineman bike route, three miles from Lake Sonoma, nine miles from Healdsburg, where you can rent a kayak...Read more

Beautiful view, lovely hosts, perfect stay!

Left on 10/31/2012 for a stay in September 2012

My boyfriend and I stayed at "the Farm" in mid-September and had a wonderful time. The room (really a mini apartment) is very clean and inviting, with a very comfortable bed. There's everything you need- coffee and tea, a refrigerator and microwave, as well as silverware and dishes. And of course wine glasses :)
The hosts, Charlotte and Stan, are wonderful - warm and inviting, with great suggestions about what to do in the surrounding area.
Breakfasts were wonderful, with fresh fruit (some from the owner's garden!) and wonderful croissants and muffins. I couldn't get enough of the criossants.
There is also a hot tub on the deck outside, where you can enjoy the starry night, overlooking the neighboring winery.
As for location, it is surrounded by beautiful vineyards in the famed Dry Creek Road. It is a few miles from Geyserville, and seven miles from Healdsburg. At first I thought it would be hard to get to and from town, but we didn't have any trouble at all (still had nice dinners in Healdsburg) and enjoyed being out in the quiet country at night!
This was the perfect place for us to stay. If we have the opportunity to visit Healdsburg again, we would definitely choose the Farm again.
If you are in the area - we really enjoyed Diavolas pizza in Geyserville and would highly recommned renting bikes to tour the wineries!

A charming bungalow atop beautiful vineyards

Left on 08/06/2012 for a stay in August 2012

I can't say enough about how nice our stay was at the Farm on West Dry Creek. Charlotte and Stan have built a sweet and cozy bungalow high up in the middle of wine country. Look out your window and all you see are rows of grapevines and rolling hills. The kind hosts have been in the area a long time and are very committed to the community there--so nice to see. And they are likewise, committed to providing their guests an unforgettable experience with a clean, private space, great amenities, delicious breakfasts and even flowers from their own garden. It was a pleasure to get to know them and we will talk about their warm welcome for years. My husband and I highly recommend this unique and homey space.

Great room, views and hot tub

Left on 04/03/2012 for a stay in November 2010

We stayed for a two days and really enjoyed sitting at the outside table overlooking the vineyard! We walked down through the vineyards and there were salmon spanning in the river. A real sight! The hot tub was a treat after a day of wine tasting. We'll be back!

      A Great Getaway!

Left on 04/02/2012 for a stay in August 2011

      Hi!

We love visiting the Farm on West Dry Creek.

We have been twice and cannot say enough nice things about the place. The space is just the right size for a couple. The bed is cozy, the place is very clean, the breakfast they bring you in the morning is homemade and delicious. The hosts, Charlotte and Stan, are very charming good people. You will love them! The location sits above the vineyards and is very close to some of our favorite wineries. We like to do wine tasting and then come back to the place and have a hot tub and then grab a nice dinner in Healdsburg. Perfect getaway from our busy city living!

We are already trying to decide when we can visit again.

      Cheers,
      Tara and Paula

Great little hidden gem in the middle of the Russian River. The room is bright, clean and comfortable in a very quiet area. Fabulous views off the deck. Charlotte and Stan could not be more accomodating with a lovely fresh breakfast every day. We come back every year!

A Special Place in the Heart of West Dry Creek

Left on 04/01/2012 for a stay in September 2011

The Farm on West Dry Creek is truly a special place to stay in Healdsburg. The accommodations are spotless, modern and very comfortable. The location is perfect, right in the heart of all the wonderful Dry Creek Wineries with views of vineyards in every direction. There are also beautiful roads for cycling, just casually riding bikes to the nearby wineries, or a quick drive for tasting. And the hot tub on the deck with the starry skies at night is a perfect ending to every amazing day!

      Cozy charm

Left on 03/31/2012 for a stay in March 2012

Staying here was just wonderful. We were made so welcome right away. The room was perfect, so delightful, warm and cozy with our own hot tub right on the deck. We were close to so many great wineries, not far from town, short drive to the coast, the redwoods. Just all in all a great farm.
