A fantastic hilltop retreat in Dry Creek Valley
Left on 04/25/2012 for a stay in April 2012
This place was completely procured by my friend, Andrew, with the smallest of input from the other members of the party. We were all very impressed with the property, both in location and interior amenities. We only had the opportunity to briefly interact with Bill, one of the owners, and we was pleasant and informative. The house sits atop some rolling hillsides growing primativo zinfandel grapes for one of the nearby wineries, Passalacqua Winery. The views are beautiful from the balcony. The hot tub is privately nestled into the hillside behind the house. The place was clean, well prepped for all that a wine-country visitor would need. While many places in the area offer seclusion, the long winding drive up to the gated property offers an additional sense of retreat that cannot be found at other places. This well landscaped and airy home always made it a treat to return to after a hard day out in the vineyards...

chicago, ilNice guest house stay for a wine country getaway
Left on 02/06/2012 for a stay in October 2010
We enjoyed our stay at the guest house with another couple. My husband and I had traveled to the Healdsburg/Dry Creek area previously and were happy to find accommodations to suit two couples traveling together.
The property was as pictured and described. The road to reach the property is precarious, indeed: after an unofficial looking sign post, you must travel up a dark, narrow, and winding dirt road, where there is fog and deer. Yikes! Because we stayed in (rainy) October, we did not use the hot tub, but we did enjoy breakfast and a glass of wine on the terrace. We used the kitchen to make breakfast most days and a full dinner one night, and also used the washer/dryer after spending a day hiking in Ukiah, where it was a little muddy. The boys appreciated having DirecTv at their fingertips (especially since it was football season!) and I recall that the Internet service was spotty, as was our cell phone reception. Our only complaint about the property was the bedding -- for so much attention that went into other details, it was forgotten on the pillows especially! The comfort of the bed was so-so, but all 4 adults complained about the pillows, traded pillows, tried wadding up an extra blanket in place of our pillows, and even tried the throw cushions from the couch as bed pillows. We thought that the cleaning fee was totally reasonable. -

60713Beautiful Property with Spectacular Views
Left on 01/01/2012 for a stay in December 2011
Dry Creek Villa is a beautiful wine country getaway. There are breathtaking views from the front deck and the back patio overlooks the vineyard. The house is spacious and spotless with great modern design and décor. There are several wineries very close by, but the narrow gravel private road to the house is windy, so you should just taste at the wineries and take bottles home to enjoy at this great property.
We enjoyed our stay and plan on returning soon. It is a little hard to find, so make sure to refer to the detailed directions provided by landlord.Response from Bill Carney - 01/10/2012

DFWWine country perfection!
Left on 09/12/2011 for a stay in September 2011
Not only is the Dry Creek our favorite area for wine tastings, it's now home to the best vacation rental we've stayed in to date. Dry Creek Villa was perfect in every way - private, clean, great amenities, and in the most beautiful location up in the hills. It's perfect for a couple, small family, or two couples/individuals, and was in a great area for us to wine taste, go into town, go to the Redwoods, visit the coast, and relax. The pictures online make it look lovely, but the reality was so much better - we were pleasantly surprised at how wonderful the vineyard setting was, and how quiet and private it is!
We wish we could have stayed longer, and definitely plan to return and tell friends and family about this wonderful place. Thank you Bill & Scott!Response from Bill Carney - 09/27/2011
