'Mona, a name given to house by our daughter when she could not say 'Sonoma,' is a four bedroom/four bath, completely remodeled home including a one bedroom/one bath guest house in the heart of Dry Creek Valley in Healdsburg, California.
Our vacation home sits on one acre nestled among the vines of Dry Creek Valley including its own vineyard on the property. It is surrounded on all sides by acres of vines, lavender and mountains. Please see our new website!

Our home is in the Dry Creek Valley - surrounded by vineyards and award winning wineries. We are just 7 miles form lake Sonoma where you can boat, ski and camp. Cycling is very popular as the roads are windy and picturesque. As well, there is the historic Healdsburg Square that has many wonderful shops as well as high end restaurants such as the Dry Creek Kitchen and Cyrus. There are many spas as well. Throughout the year there are festivals and other events that celebrate the wine country.

My running group decided to participate in the Healdsburg half marathon this fall and started looking for a place to stay. It was overwhelming the number of rentals that were available, but after much research we decided on the Mona house. We were so happy with our decision!!! The location is ideal, the house is comfortable and well appointed. We had a fabulous time sitting on the front porch in the rocking chairs and watching the sunset. After the half marathon, we indulged and hung out by the beautiful pool all day. It was the loveliest of settings. I would highly recommend this house to anyone!!

My family and I had a wonderful week up in Healdsburg. This house is everything you could ask for. I really cannot say enough how well kept the home is. Heather and John have really put those extra touches into their home that you can really appreciate. The house is immaculate and beautiful! The outdoors is even more lovely! From every window and french door there are views of the vineyards. You feel like you live in the middle of th vineyards. The back yard area is great. Big pool with the hot tub was so much fun. We had a problem with the pool cover gettinstuck and Heather was super quick in responding to our call. She had a maintenance person there to fix it asap. We have been going on these family vacations every year for many years and this one was definitely one of the best.

Sharing loud and proud that our stay was absolute perfection. From the aesthetic to the location, it made choosig this house complemented our whole long weekend in Sonoma. Everything we wanted was nearby -- Dry Creek General Store for sandwiches and goods, we boated on Lake Sonoma, brought our dog, cooked in and strolled the square at night in downtown Healdsburg. Will be back.

My beau (now husband) and I spent a weekend here, over Valentine's Day, where we got engaged. We returned for another long weekend, the following year. Fabulous!
The house is huge--much bigger than the 2 of us needed, but it was fun to play house and pretend it was ours for the weekend.
It's close to so many wineries, great restaurants, and shopping, yet nestled in a little winery, off the beaten track.
Heather and John were wonderful hosts, and everything ran smoothly. The fireplace, and hot tub were well-utilized, as we were here in the cooler months.
We'll be back!
