Is it possible to at once be away from it all and at the center of it all? It is if you spend your wine country vacation at our home less than 3 miles from Healdsburg Plaza.

Our home is just 3 miles (5-10 minutes) from Healdsburg Plaza and its variety of restaurants, tasting rooms, shops and galleries. It is also practically at the very center of the extraordinary Northern Sonoma wine country, just minutes from the Russian River, Dry Creek, and Alexander Valleys. In fact, there are over 150 tasting rooms within a 10 mile radius - making this an outstanding home base for your Sonoma Wine Country vacation. The house is also only about 40... minutes from outstanding wineries at the northern end of the Napa Valley for those seeking even more variety.

The property offers a variety of features and activities to enhance your wine country vacation when your not out wine tasting or enjoying the other pleasures of Northern Sonoma County.

Our home is around a bend at the end of a country road that dead ends at our automated gate. Outdoors, you can relax by the solar heated, salt water swimming pool (open from mid-April through mid-November), and warm up at night by the wood burning fire pit surrounded by fragrant lavender. Or enjoy your morning coffee under our covered gazebo next to our vegetable garden and near our recently planted fruit and olive tree orchard. The property is richly landscaped, with lush front, rear, and side gardens and a manicured front lawn. We also have a young hobby Cabernet vineyard at the very front of the property, which hopefully will begin producing fine Sonoma County wine sometime around 2016! There is a basketball hoop above the garage where you can practice your jump shot, or brush up on your ping pong skills on our indoor/outdoor table.

Indoors, the home is equipped with central air conditioning, central heating, and wifi Internet access. Our fully-equipped kitchen is stocked with practically everything you could possibly need to prepare a gourmet meal. The kitchen has a stainless steel GE refrigerator and dishwasher, Jenn Air range, granite tile counter tops, as well as the full array of kitchen essentials. For wine lovers there is lead-free crystal glassware and a dishwasher safe decanter. We also have a full array of unbreakable dishes and wine glasses suitable for outdoor use. The pantry is stocked with spices and other cooking staples to make preparing your meals at the house an easy and pleasant experience.

In an open floor plan, the kitchen opens to the dining room which seats 8 and to the den. The den has a comfortable modern sectional, a 40” high definition flat screen LCD television with DirecTV, and a stereo receiver with iPod/iPhone and Bluetooth jacks that powers speakers in both the den and outdoors next to the swimming pool.

Or you can sit back and watch a movie on our home-theater equipped living room, with its 7.1 surround sound, 55 inch flat screen HDTV, Blu-Ray/DVD player, and Xbox 360 gaming system. The living room also has a wood burning fireplace to provide additional warmth on cool Sonoma County nights.

The master suite has a king sized bed and a private bath with a double vanity, whirlpool tub and separate shower. The other 2 bedrooms each have queen sized beds, and all the bedrooms are equipped with custom Elfa closet storage. In the hallway, you’ll find the second bath, which has a shower/tub combination and dual vanity. An additional ½ bath is accessible through the laundry room next to kitchen. The laundry room is equipped with a front-loading LG washer and dryer.

We are located in Healdsburg, just 3 miles south of Healdsburg Plaza. The home is about 65 miles north of San Francisco and 7.5 miles north of Charles M. Schulz - Sonoma County Airport (STS).

Healdsburg is surrounded by several of Northern California's finest regional wine appellations, including Alexander Valley, Chalk Hill, Dry Creek Valley, and Russian River Valley. Our home is within 5 miles of over 40 tasting rooms and within 10 miles of over 150 tasting rooms, making it the ideal place to experience the best of Sonoma County's wine country. Explore beyond the town square and you’ll find incredible hiking, biking, fishing, and canoeing within minutes. Venture less than an hour away to the Sonoma Coast and enjoy whale watching, tidepooling, and surfing.

In addition, our home is only about 45 minutes from prominent Napa Valley appellations, including St. Helena, Spring Mountain, and Diamond Mountain.
