We stayed at this cabin with extended family in July of 2012 and could not have been happier! The location, right on the Chattahoochie River was to die for. It was private enough that we never saw or heard another soul while we were there. The cabin was beautiful with all the modern conveniences including satellite or cable and a full kitchen. The bedrooms were large and decorated very nicely, and the loft was perfect for the kids. The owners kindly left travel brochures and information for the surrounding area including restaurants (20 minute drive) and the charming town of Helen which we visited. The best part- the rear of the cabin right on the river. It was 20 steps across the lawn to be in the water. The water was warm and inviting. We had kids aged 6 to 19 with us and each one enjoyed it as much as the other. We swam and tubed endlessly. It is not too deep in any location, and there are many shallow pools set aside by rocks for the littlest ones- be sure to bring your water shoes. There was a picnic table, lawn chairs and a fire pit right on the water which made for some long relaxing evenings. The hammock was a favorite of my son. One back porch has a hot tub, and the other is screened in with comfortable furniture and a television. There was something for everyone including the family dog we brought along. We will certainly be back- California certainly does not have warm rivers like this!

Our jaws dropped when we drove down the driveway. Immediately the view was perfect and the cabin looked warm and inviting. Hearing the peaceful river in the background melts all stress away. The cabin has everything and more than you would expect. The view from the hot tub at sunset is incredible!! It's close to everything and the Limehouse family has made sure you feel welcome. They really have thought of everything. I love how "kid friendly" it is but was a perfect romantic getaway for our anniversary weekend. We can't wait for our next trip back when it's warm and we can enjoy the river!!

This river cabin and view are amazing!! You will not be disappointed. Our family enjoyed a long weekend fishing, roasting marshmallows around the firepit and relaxing in the riverside hammock! We will definitely be back. And we left some luggage and Rob the owner was super accommodating to get it returned to us. Thanks so much for a great vacation!

We had a wonderful time at your cabin on the water. It was everything and more than we expected. The property was clean easy to get to and had all the household goodies we needed. The best part was the view and easy access to the water which was amazing especially with kids! Sitting on the back porch and listening to the water in the background was wonderful and great to have a few drinks and play cards. The kids and dog played in the water all day during the days it was perfect. The cabin is located close to Helen and all the activities it was super convenient. We loved the privacy as well. We will return!!!

The house was very clean and it had all the amenities that you could ask for being in the middle of the woods. The house felt very warm and as soon as you walked in the stress just melted away. You could not ask for a better location. I have stayed in many places, but never a house so close to the water. The rapids in the background where hypnotic, especially when sleeping. There are also a lot of places to see that are within a 20 minute drive in any direction from the cabin. There are several wine vineyards close by too. We liked everything about the cabin and the area. Its great to have the choice to BBQ right next to the river or on the wooden deck right next to the hot tub. It was also very special to us because I proposed to my wife at the cabin.

This cabin is beautiful. An easy drive from atlanta, and completely secluded. It is right on the river, so the kids were able to play in the water all day and have bonfires at night. The kitchen is full sized, and there is plenty of sleeping space for even two families to share if you wanted. We were only a family of 4, and there was almost too much room.
Checking in and out was simple with the key code entry, and even though we arrived late in the evening, when we called the owner he answered right away. We needed to make sure we weren't lost (we weren't - we just needed to trust the directions) and he also let us know how to turn on the jacuzzi when we arrived so that it would be heated when we were ready to use it.
We definitely look forward to the next time we get to stay here.
