Very centrally located but quiet, recently renovated 20 sq m studio flat in downtown Helsinki. Excellent public transport options, shopping, restaurants and nightlife at walking distance.
Window is to quiet courtyard so there will be no noise from traffic. Full size kitchen with all basic amenities available, including oven. Rate includes linen and towels and wireless internet. There is a double bed in the room and mezzanine for optionally two more persons. Laundry room is available in the building free of charge. The apartment is non-smoking and allergy-friendly (no animals allowed).

I was fortunate to stay in the studio during a recent trip to Helsinki.
The place is fantastic; perfect location to move about the city (it is located right in the centre), safe location and extremely well-maintained and clean.
All furnishings, kitchen, living areas are supplied and more than sufficient. The place has a nice ambiance and it's somewhat modern in style. The living area is large and there is a (very) small but adequate bathroom.
Will hope to stay once again on the next trip to Helsinki. The owners of the apartment live just next door and were always willing to assist and remained consistently flexible with travel arrangements etc. -

My husband and I loved our stay at this find and Tuomas was more than helpful. Right away he met us and looked up places where we could park or things we were interested in doing. The place is very clean and a great stopping point if your goal is to explore the city. I was also really pleased to see a blowdryer. It is the small things that count and this is a great find!

Helsinki is a wonderful city. I had a great time there. But Helsinki was not the only reason. I felt very comfortable in the apartment. It has a good size for two people. Everything you need is there, for cooking and something like that. The position is really perfect! Nearly everything is reachable by foot. Even the street offers so much. Important to say is, that the apartment is furnished so homely. I wanted to take it with me to my hometown ;)

I spent a week in the Studio apartment in Helsinki, which I very much enjoyed. While quite tiny, it is safe, clean, beautifully maintained, perfectly located, and charmingly laid out. The Bulevardi neighorhood is delightful. The high ceilings, large window, comfortable bed, well fitted out kitchenette, miniscule but clean and complete bathroom leave little to be desired. The charming building and helpful neighbors were a big plus, as was the washing machine in the basement. I spent the first four days in the apartment as a woman traveling alone until my husband could join me, but felt safe, comfortable, and happy in this flat. When my husband joined me, we were a bit more snug, but the location and the kind assistance of the landlord.

Tuomas apartment was very well located which made it easy to walk from the apartment to the grocery store, major sights, train/bus station, and the harbour. Tuomas met us on time as arranged, the apartment was clean and comfortable. It was quite handy to be able to use the washer which was located in the basement. The neighborhood was quiet and had many small restaurants to choose from. Would not hessitate to recemmend it.

We stayed with a friend for two nights. Tuomas was kind enough to wait up for us until almost one am, since our planes from London and Budapest respectively had a very late arrival. Tuomas was also very flexible with our departure time, and allowed us to keep our luggage at his place until the afternoon of our departure date.
Although the apartment is small, as he describes it, it is perfectly located and has everything you might need during a visit to Helsinki. Walking distance to most sights and to public transport. Sunny, close to supermarket and shopping area. Complete kitchen and two good beds. What more can you ask for ? -

My husband and I enjoyed the cozy studio and its excellent location where it is easy to take the tram to see all the interesting places in Helsinki. One thing we wished we could have more, was an extra roll of toilet paper! When we asked Tuomas on our last day, he said as a rule for longer tenants (which we were not), only one roll is provided and we are supposed to get our own! I was just happy that it was our last day when the toilet paper ran out! Other amenities that will be appreciated include a bar of soap in the bathroom, a box of tissue paper, saran wraps/aluminum foils and kitchen towels. There were boxes of leftover cereals and oatmeal in the shelf that Tuomas said we could freely use. However, they were filled with bugs and we needed to throw them out!

As for the few negative remarks you had (and thank you for giving them!)
- I have already notified the cleaning staff to throw away all opened or outdated food items in the future. I have not seen or heard of bugs in the apartment before and I will make it my goal to never hear or see of them in the future either!
- As for the toilet paper, foils and such, as this is a vacation rental, not a hotel, every guest is expected to do their own groceries including toilet paper - no matter the length of their stay. This is pretty much the rule of thumb in every single vacation rental I have personally been to. As courtesy and for convience since many guests arrive late in the evening, the cleaning staff will always make sure there is one full roll of toilet paper in the day of arrival.

I stayed in Tuomas' studio for 3-nights and found it to be the best location I experienced in Helsinki. The studio is located in a very nice quiet part of the city but you can easily walk to the city center or hop on a tram right in front of the building. I also liked Cafe Ekberg right across the street. Tuomas communicated the check-in/check-out instructions perfectly and was very flexible with my check-out time request. He also gave me plenty of helpful information. I would definitely stay here again if I come back to Helsinki.

This studio is perfect for one or two people who want to be in the heart of Helsinki. It is small and quiet and has everything you need for a short stay. There is a small kitchen area with a stove, but we did not try to cook there. Too many restaurants to explore. Right around the corner is Cafe Ekberg which has a great breakfast buffet for 10 Euros per person. It is a meeting point for business and other people and makes you feel like a local. Worth a try. They also have a lovely terrace and great pastries!
The studio has a comfortable bed, a small dining table which doubles as computer desk. Wifi is available and very fast. The bathroom is tiny, and might be s problem for larger people. The shower floods the floor but under-the-tiles heating dries it super fast so that is not really a problem. There is a washer (but no drier) in the basement. -

We can highly recommend this cute studio right in the heart of the Design District. A fully equipped kitchen can be used to prepare small meals, keeping your budget for food lower than eating out. Appealing interior makes you feel welcome straight away. The only draw back is a very small shower+toilet bathroom...
Definetly a great choice though and the owner is very helpful in giving you insider information! -

The apartment, while small, had everything we needed for our time in Helsinki. The location is wonderful, walking distance to anything you would need or want to do. This is a beautiful building and the apartment has a lot of character. It is located in the middle of the City but set back in a courtyard. This means you will have a very peaceful stay. At the same time, all shops, bars and restaurants are in walking distance. Parking can be a problem but many hotels will allow you to park on their grounds for a fair fee. this is a lot cheaper and more convenient than trying to find street parking.
The only negative thing I would say is the bathroom is quite small. This was not an issue for us.
I would use this apartment again and was very happy with the service. -

I spent one week in the apartment with my girlfriend and all I can say; it is great.
In Helsinki the location couldn't be any better, totally center of the city and a lovely neighbourhood. Price is also a nice deal, you won't find a hotel with this location in this price range and you wouldn't feel as comfortable as in this apartment.
Will definitely use this flat on my future trips to lovely Helsinki. -

This place is nice for a solo traveler and/or a couple. The studio steward lives just next door. The heat was a tad poor, but you can turn all the burners on the stove top on and presto!, a very warm studio for those very cold nights in Suomi. The British radio is very neat and retro and the digital television is top notch! Most things are about a 10 minute walk away including the Lidl ;). Thanks to Mr. Tom V. for being a great host! Too bad you did not tell me about the temperature in the apartment during your stay - I would have showed you how the central heating radiator can be adjusted. As the apartment usually is a bit hot I had propably turned it down before you arrived.
I certainly do not recommend using the stove to warm the apartment - it is a big fire risk indeed! -

We were met by Tuomas at the apartment in a downpour at 2.00am. He had already offered to buy us gorceries as nowhere would be open and as well as being more than happy to be meet at 2.00am on a Friday night he also took us through the city to deliver us to a bar!! It made such a difference to our first night! The apartment is small but very functional and much better than a hotel!! No problems with leaving, again it was no trouble to meet us at a time to suit us.

The apartment is a little smaller than it appears to be on the website. But it is in a good neighborhood, very clean and quiet. The washing machine is a plus to travellers with children, and the kitchen is well equipped, too.

The studio is in the centre of Helsinki, in the 'design district': a cobblestoned zone with fasionable boutiques and excellent restaurants - and a very short distance from all the main historical and tourist attractions, restaurants and night spots, yet lovely and quiet inside the apartment.
We walked everywhere, we could make it to the port in less than 10 minutes. On the last day, when leaving with our suitacses, the nearest tram stop was literally round the corner and took us straight to the train station.
The apartment itself was extremely clean, neatly and pleasantly furnished, with a comfortable bed.
The studio was centrally heated - and the bathroom floor was heated which was lovely. Oh, and there was a hairdryer in the room, which was a fabulous touch!
Both the owner, and the person he had arranged to greet us when we first arrived (at 3am) were both extremely courteous, helpful and pleasant.
We are a couple in our mid-thirties, and we have done many city holidays in our time - and this apartment definitely ticked all the boxes for us: superb location, comfortable apartment and attentive landlord.
Wwe will be staying in the same place again without a doubt.

I stayed in this apartment for almost a month while doing writing in the local library. It was a really nice cosy place to stay, so I always looked forward to coming back in the evenings to what I came to call my 'cosy nest'. I thought that it was great value for money as I had an excellent kitchen to work with and there are several supermarkets in the immediate area. Best of all, a five minute walk took you to the main street. There were two parks close at hand for sitting out in to read or just relax, plus an abundance of cafes in the area for unwinding or watching life go by.
The owner is a very friendly helpful man who is very welcoming and makes you feel at home.
While it may appear small as a studio, I think that seems to be the trend with Finnish studios/apartments, so it is no different to most. And the heated bathroom floor, a gift!
Writing this review now I realise how much I miss it. I will definitely be back as soon as I can. Highly recommended. -

We intended to stay at this rental in mid-March for a week. I emailed the owner a few days before our arrival from the USa to touch base about our arrival time and to finalize getting the keys. To my chagrin the owner was out of the country and responded to my email that he had never signed the contract we agreed to in December and thus we were not able to stay at the unit. This left us with a mad scramble to find a hotel room three days before leaving.
It clearly was my fault for not following up about a fully endorsed rental contract, but clearly the owner's fault for not emailing us about his decision not to rent us the unit, even though he had three months to do so.
I gave the unit three stars because it is in a great location and the rental rates are lower than area hotels. Just make sure if you wish to stay at this unit that you have a fully endorsed contact in hand.

Had I not been travelling I would most certainly have helped you in finding an alternative solution. I decided to publish your review and my reply as it is useful for others possible guests to understand the process of making a booking.
After initial enquiry if a guest wishes to make a confirmed booking I will send out a lease contract to be filled in by the guest. Once I receive the contract back by email, signed and scanned I will send an email with the confirmation from my side. I usually reply within a day or two so if you don't get the confirmation email please contact me by email or by phone (my number is in the lease contract) in order to get the confirmation.
In your case your email including the contract was lost and buried under massive load of Christmas-related (junk) emails and therefore I failed to process the email hence never sent a confirmation to you nor updated the apartment availability calendar. Clearly my mistake and I do apologize for this.
I will do my best that this will not happen again for any guest.

The owner was very helpful in answering my email queries prior to arriving and greeted us on arrival.
The apartment is a studio and is not huge but has everything you need and is really lovely. We slept very well there and it is in a great location. It's very central and located in the Design District of Helsinki -the area has lots of interesting shops and boutiques close by. I would definitely stay here again. -

Comfortable, small appartment about 10-15 minutes walk from the Central Railway station and 1 min to nearest tram stops. Very convenient location in nice street with lots of shops, restaurants and bakeries. The appartment is nicely decorated, clean and has all basic utencils and tools available. Good value for money!

Very cozy apartment, clean, very well located, and if you travel in winter don`t worry , it`s a warm apartment. The only problem encountered was the internet connection, because that was more off than on . But I think it was just a temporary problem . Probably ,next time I will choose the same apartment.

The place is small, yet really cosy and clean. The apartment is in the very city centre so we could walk to most key destinations. Just a walk home brings sheer pleasure as you look at all those lovely shopwindows of the design district. The main train station is only 10-15 minutes walk away. Trams stop almost at your doorstep.
The apartment is great for two as it is really small. The kitchen is well-stocked with all the needed cutlery and tableware. There is good Wi-Fi connection. There aren't many TV channels, but not being TV fans we did not mind.
Tuomas is really friendly and helpful, ready to answer any questions and to provide all the information you need. Really a lessor you dream of. -

The location of this apartment makes it all worthwhile. It is so close to everything and because it's nto a hotel it makes you feel like you're living in rather than visiting Helsinki.
The apartment is very small but has a kitchenette which makes eating that little bit easier and more affordable. The bathroom is tiny but adequate.
Tuomas was very helpful and made us feel at home right away - he even left a fruit bowl full of fruit on the table for us!
This apartment is perfect for one or a couple - purely because of it's size.

The apartment was great. The apartment is small but was the ideal size for the two of us. The location was perfect and everything in central Helsinki was within walking distance. There are a lot of great restaurants nearby and a small supermarket just down the road. The owner lives next door so checking in and out was not a problem and he was very flexible with arrival and departure times.
I loved the heated bathroom floor.
It was much cheaper than staying in a hotel and I would definitely stay there again. -

Nice, small, cosy apartment on an excellent location. Good building, room on the backside, which is very quiet. Nice neighbourhood with design and clothing shops. The apartment is small (tiny bathroom); probably best for one or two people. Kitchenette is good, well equipped. I had good communication with Tuomas, who was very helpful and flexible. Stayed here for a week (I was in Helsinki for work); I would defenitely come again when in town.

We absolutely loved our stay in Helsinki. The studio apartment was perfect in every way - location, convenience, quietness, and cleanliness. The owner was extremely helpful - he toured us around the neighborhood, suggested some things to do and places to see, and he even lent us his iron and ironing board. The internet connection was superb, which enabled us to maintain connection with work and family. There was bus and tram service right outside the apartment, but we rarely used it given the fact that we were walking distance from just about everything we needed. The bathroom and shower were small, but despite my husband's size (6' 5”) he managed just fine, and the heated floor in the bathroom was wonderful. We would certainly stay there again if ever in Helskinki.

This studio is very central in Helsinki and very practical. It has up to 4 bed-places. The toilet is very tiny, which was fine for us anyway, but might be a problem for big people.
The owner was really gentle and helpful, I definitely reccomend this place. -
