The Grey Oak Cottage is a historic 1940's bungalow with 3 bedrooms, one bath
fireplace, central heat and air and free wifi internet. The Arts and Crafts era
fireplace is the focal point of the living area and there's also a 27
inch TV with 90 channels. The neighborhood is great for walking or
bikes. The fenced yard is perfect for kids and pets. There is a king
bedroom, a queen bedroom and a 3rd bedroom with 2 pencil post twins.
Only One mile from historic Main Street Hendersonville or a 20 minute

Cranmore Cottages website is always our first stop when we are planning our anniversary trip to Hendersonville, NC. (Each year we try a different cottage.) Sandra and company are always just the best! She stopped by our first night to bring us a hot spot, as someone had changed the password on the wifi and didn't notify them. She was there under 3 minutes! The Grey Oak Cottage was quaint and just perfect for us. We had stopped for lunch and grocery shopped at EarthFare/Asheville. We prepared breakfast and dinner at the house most every day. The kitchen had the important amentities - microwave, stove, refrigerator and coffee maker! Loved the simple decorations. The cottage is in the most perfect location - it is in a quiet neighborhood - and within 5 minutes from downtown Hendersonville. Also you are within 2 hours of the Blue Ridge Parkway - the leaves were beautiful. Jump off Rock is also another great location to visit and is only 10 minutes away. We love staying at the Cranmore Cottages and will continue to do so in the future. Just one thing we noticed was there was a soot smell in the house - even when we didn't have a fire in the chimney. We just bought apple cinnamon candles and that cut the odor. We left them for other guests to enjoy.

We rented this cute little cottage for a few days away with our dog. It's conveniently located on a quiet residential street. The kitchen was very functional and we enjoyed the charcoal grill for steaks and salmon. We visited the Farmers Market and I used the well equipped kitchen to cook fresh corn, peas and cornbread to go along with fresh tomatoes. We enjoyed cooking all our breakfasts and dinners. We were close enough to shopping and sightseeing to go out during the day and come home and nap during the afternoon storms.
