Built in 1950, this two story bungalow boasts of wide-plank pine floors, private hot tub, a majestic double fireplace, 3 bedrooms and 2 and 1/2 baths. The cottage is located in the Hyman Heights historical district of downtown, which has meandering lanes lined with Hendersonville's most unique and beautiful historic homes. Some friends and I rented this house for a weekend and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves! I specifically loved how warm and cozy the house felt in the mornings and evenings. We were close to asheville, great hiking spots, downtown, grocery store, restaurants, etc. We had no trouble finding things to do and also enjoyed just hanging out in the living room and kitchen. I would definitely stay here again!

I recently stayed in charming Kensington House and would recommend it to anyone looking for a place to rest and relax, but keep close to all the great restaurants and shops of Hendersonville. The living room and kitchen had plenty of seating for our group, and everyone enjoyed a great night's sleep. Downtown Hendersonville is just a short drive or jog away, and we loved eating at Papas and Beers Mexican restaurant.
With just a short drive, we hiked to waterfalls where parts of the Hunger Games were filmed!
It was so convenient to have a washer and dryer, a full kitchen for breakfast and late night snacks, and so many great places to go out to eat just around the corner!

We used this quaint house for a weekend getaway of 5 women. It was perfect for us. The large living area could have easily accommodated more than 5 guests and the gas log fireplace was a plus. The bedrooms were comfortable and beautifully decorated. The kitchen was equipped with all that we needed, including a coffee grinder. The house was very clean! The location is only a few minutes from a grocery store and a fantastic Mexican restaurant. Downtown is only a few miles miles away and hiking to the waterfalls at DuPont State Park was an easy 25 minute drive. The house would also be great for a few families to share. We look forward to staying here again!
