This attractive stone-built semi-detached cottage is an outstanding conversion of a three hundred year old farmhouse. Situated in the peaceful hamlet of Hengoed, three miles from Oswestry and eight miles from the vibrant town of Ellesmere, this cottage has been fully renovated and furnished to a high standard throughout. Contemporary in style, this property provides light, spacious accommodation with use of the owner’s pretty garden and a private patio – great for a barbeque or al fresco dining. Able to sleep a total of four people across one double room and a twin, this lovely little home-from home is an ideal base for people lo...oking to explore all that the charming region of Shropshire has to offer.

Electric double oven with ceramic hob, microwave, fridge, freezer, washing machine, tumble dryer, dishwasher, TV with Sky, DVD player, WiFi, stereo/CD player, small library of DVDs. All fuel and power inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Off road parking for 2 cars. Lockable bike storage. Private patio with garden furniture and BBQ, shared use of owner's large lawned garden. Sorry, no smoking or pets. Shop 1 mile, pub/restaurant 1 mile.

Town: Close to the historic border town of Oswestry lies the peaceful rural hamlet of Hengoed. The wonderful, picturesque region of Shropshire is also home to the famous village of Whittington - birthplace of the first Lord Mayor of London – and the charming town of Ellesmere. This beautiful part of the country is steeped in history – close to Hengoed is the original Old Oswestry, the site of a spectacular Iron Age Hill Fort, whilst Ellesmere is home to the lovely Church of Saint Mary, with its fifteenth century roof. The town also boasts a variety of shops, good pubs and restaurants and an abundance of entertainment on and around the nine lakes – leading to the area’s name of ‘Shropshire's Lakeland’. All prices are inclusive of the booking fee. The "Min. Per Night" prices quoted are based on the weekly rental price, they are not applicable for short breaks. See our short break policy or ask for further details.
Winter Short Breaks (WSB) are available at many properties in the "Winter" period - subject to availability. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. Off Season Breaks (OSB) are available at many properties in parts of the "Low" and "Mid" periods - subject to availability. The price for a 3 night break is either 75% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. OSBs can be booked within a calendar month of the start date of the holiday. "Last Minute Breaks" (LMB) are available at most properties throughout the "LOW", "MID", "HIGH", "PEAK", "XMAS" and "NEW YEAR" periods. The price for a 3 night break is either 65% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. LMBs can be booked within one week of the start date of the holiday.

  Very friendly welcome from the owner. The cottage was beautifully presented and there was a lovely welcome back. It was like a home from home and we intent to return.

  We found it ideal in every respect. We love this part of England and have spent many holidays near by. We found this just what we were looking for, friendly, comfortable and excellently presented, a first class position we have already booked for next year.
