Located in a very rural part of the stunning Oxfordshire countryside on the Chiltern Extension Footpath. This is a very peaceful and quiet setting, a wonderful area for walking, bird watching and cycling with horse riding and golf courses nearby. The Lodge gate, from the parking area, opens straight onto the Chiltern Way Extension Footpath. The property is situated 3 miles from historic Henley on Thames including many facilities, shops and restaurants. Busy Reading, with main line rail links (30 mins to London), is also only 3 miles away. Historic Oxford, University city, is a short drive away, with the Cotswolds beyond.

Thia is a perfect place for a break in lovely countryside with walks from the door yet within easy reach of a local village for supplies and Reading for serious shopping. Clare's garden is very pretty with roses & fabulous colours. The accommodation is comfortable and well organised and equipped. I had a lovely stay combined with collecting my son from university.

We stayed at Rose Lodge last summer with our 5 year old boy and had a lovely stay. The bedroom is very comfortable and sofa bed in the lounge perfect for our little man.
It is a great base for walking and exploring the local countryside which our lad found very exciting. the local farm has horses, pigs and cows, and the white cows in Crowsley Park are really quite striking.
Close enough to London that it's great for a break that feels a million miles away!

This cottage is perfect for a relaxing break whilst being convenient for exploring the Chiltern Hills, the Thames Valley and the beautiful towns such as Henley-on-Thames, Oxford and Windsor.
The walks from Rose Lodge are really beautiful with a wealth of wildlife including red kites.

Had a fantastic stay at Rose Lodge while in the UK visiting family over Christmas. Accommodation itself is absolutely first class; comfortable beds & lounge with a really well equipped kitchen, amongst the best I've found in a self catering apartment.
The location is perfect for some peace & quiet (lots of lovely walks too!) but close enough to London for easy days out.
All in all we had a wonderful time here and can't recommend both the place itself and the owner's hospitality highly enough! We can't wait to come back.
