"Sunbird Song" is a four bedroom villa located at the extreme eastern edge of Voelklip, Hermanus, right up against the mountain, with stunning views of Walker Bay and the mountains. It is a ten minute stroll to the Blue Flag Grotto beach and Voelklip beach, and the start of the popular cliff path . This is a quiet and tranquil area some 6 kilometres from the centre of Hermanus. Three kilometres from Fernkloof nature reserve entrance, and only 100 metres from the beginning of the eastern contour path and bike trail.

Hermanus is probably the prettiest town in South Africa, and has won the "Cleanest" town award several times in recent years. It is two hours by car east of Cape Town, and and hour and a half from Cape Town International airport.
There is something for everyone in Hermanus: great beaches - two of which have the top accolade of 'Blue Flag' status, and a number of pretty, rocky coves for romantic sundowners. There are two superb golf courses, a beautiful and extensive nature reserve criss-crossed with well maintained walkways, and a very popular walkway along the cliff top overlooking the ocean, extending for around 12 kilometres.
For the adventurous there is shark cage diving throughout the year, land and boat based whale watching in the second half of the year, hanggliding, Quad bike rides, Horse riding, fishing and much more.
For the more mature there is a wide selection of very good restaurants and bistro's, some 14 wine estates in close proximity and a variety of interesting shops with art works, books, antiques and collectables of all sorts. There are two markets held on a Saturday, both very festive and with a different focus.
Hermanus has a distinctly festive atmosphere, and is popular with holidaymakers throughout the year
