Description from the owner
Casa La Punta is a self catering house in the north coast of the island of La Gomera. Its location is ideal to visit the Garajonay National Park and the rest of the island both by car or treking.
We have recently joined to the European Charter for Sustainable Tourism and we are concerned about the environment.
We also have and National Park´s information desk for our guests.
The house has free internet for guests.
A small library provides selected information about the island and protected natural areas.

Next to the viewpoint of La Punta, in La Gomera, close to Garajonay National Park Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1986.Close to the beach Hermigua and the old davits. From the house is easy to access to other trails in the municipality as well as the main trails of La Gomera. A few meters from the viewpoint of La Punta in front of the house, there is a short cut by which you can go down to the beach of Santa Catalina (unsuitablebath) and to the natural pools of the davits (El Peñón) or link to the trail that goes to Playa de la Caleta.

Casa La Punta is the ideal place to enjoy a few days in La Gomeraa wonderful place. It has everything you need to feel at home as well as peace offering spectacular views of Mount Teide and the Valley of Hermigua.
La Gomera is a small island that offers nature lovers plenty of activities to enjoy this unique place.
From hiking Garajonay National Park whose forests are a relic of other times to the voyages for its stunning coast to watch dolphins,pilot whales and sea surprises that they might hold. Essentialnavigation Los Organos.
Equally essential is to taste the local food, Efigenia House (symbolof the kitchen Gomera) offers a delicious vegetarian menu. Casa Conchita in arure o Silbo a few meters from Casa La Punta them perfect to learn the cuisine gomera
To finish I want to highlight the great kindness and professionalismoffered by the owner of Casa La Punta Jose Maria Real. Recently we have been a second time at home and we are hoping to return.

To talk about the Island of La Gomera is very easy! easy, because it is so beautiful and has so much to visit! ... that whenever you go back there are places to discover. Its climate, its panoramic views, the clarity of the atmosphere that allows you clearly to see the other islands. Their paths, mysterious and almost "haunted” (which bring you the images of your childhood. The stories of fairies and gnomes), its small black sand beaches with warm clearwaters. Its cuisine, simple but rich in fish, cheeses, meats, tropical fruits and wines, a natural and very healthy food. Its people ... a generous people and close to everyone who comes, regardless of where they come, attentive to the needs of the visitors with kindness and love, familiar treatment, I did not feel a stranger.
We have visited La Gomera many times and the last trip, we stayed at the rural house "La Punta", comfortable, accessible by car, view of Tenerife and the Teide (volcano) excellent, small private garden and a warmth of home that you do not want to leave it.

It is worth to visit La Gomera, with its changing lanscapes that surprise the visitors at all. You can do a long excursions through deep forest as well as take de sun to the beach.
We recommnend strongly the stay to Casa La Punta, with a lovable garden, incredible views to El Teide that you can enjoy from a wide terrace, and a very comforable rooms. It is very useful the avalaible information about de island you find in the house.

We spent a week here and were really made to feel welcome.
The setting is idyllic, with great views across the valley and Tenerife.
I would recommend it to anyone - exceptional value and would definitely visit again. -

The house is situated in a small town on the coast, with houses made ??of stone and old ways. I liked to walk by them.
From the terrace of the house have wonderful views of Mount Teide and the sea, but if you like an intimate might prefer the pleasant garden with grape vines.
