This beautiful 2 bedroom, one and one-half bath unit is two levels with hardwood floors, granite counter-tops and amazing ocean views from the living room and both bedrooms. There is a kitchen (breakfast bar that seats three - no dining table), living room and powder room on the first level. The L/R has a 54" plasma TV with surround sound and Blue Ray DVD player. The second level contains two bedrooms (one with a queen bed and one with a twin daybed and a twin trundle) a bathroom with a shower and your private washer/dryer. A Wonderful Family Vacation Home

Ours was a family event (college graduation) with multiple generations (GP/C/GC)in attendance and sharing this wonderful space. Susan was so gracious in welcoming us, sharing events that might be of interest to our family, and familiarizing us with the features and operation of the accommodations when we arrived. She even offered us a playpen for our grandson!
The living room accommodated comfortable family gatherings and conversation, as did the private roof top balcony. From those chairs, shown in the left hand side of the website picture of the rooftop balcony, we had unbelievable views of the Pacific, with whales and dolphins sighted on the first evening.
With the Strand (Strand = a low barriered, expansive concrete public walkway connecting several beach cities right along the Pacific) next to the condo, and the streets leading to the Strand closed to traffic(two blocks up from the Strand), we could either let our grandson (18 mo old)stroll with supervision in the "street", push him in his stroller along the Pacific, or let him play in the sand on the beach. Or when he was occupied elsewhere, we could walk whatever distance in whatever direction we desired with a view of the Pacific. Given the graduation event, we did not get to spend as much time on the beach as some would have liked, but the Darcys certainly have it set up for all ages to enjoy any beach activity, if that is your preferred activity.
The Darcys certainly are excellent hosts, and have a location to match, for a family wanting to spend quality time overlooking, next to, or playing in the Pacific.

Beautiful condo with a perfect ocean view. The apartment was spotless and stocked with everything you could need. The rooftop deck was the highlight of the apartment. We spent a majority of our stay up there. Hermosa Beach Pier is right down the street. It was so close that my dad would walk there every morning to go fishing. Susan and Sean were extremely friendly, and Susan even gave me recommendations and printouts of things to do in the area. The accommodations were superb. I will definitely be renting this apartment again when I'm in Hermosa. Thanks for everything Susan & Sean.

Our stay was everything we were hoping for this Labor Day. Susan really looked out for our every need and we were able to enjoy the beach and the rooftop deck to our hearts desire. The layout of the house offers superb use of space and we never felt cramped.

My daughter and I recently had the pleasure of staying at this apartment in Hermosa Beach. It's the perfect beach retreat with the ocean practically at your doorstep, while restaurants and the commercial district is just a short stroll away down the famous Strand! Well constructed, attention has been paid to every detail and it's beautifully decorated, spotless, and well appointed to cater to guest's needs. Would definitely stay again!

This was my first time to Southern California and what a perfect place to stay. This strand apartment is perfect for a girls getaway to a family vacation to a romantic trip for 2. The apartment is absolutely beautiful with all the accommodation needed for your stay. Loved how you can just walk out the front door and your right on the strand to walk to great restaurants, shops or just hangout at the beach. The roof top deck is incredible with amazing views. Thanks Susan and Sean for a great place to stay.

Beautiful apartment and great location on The Strand. The rooftop deck is a great private place to watch the sunset and the unit is immaculately maintained. There are ocean views from both the bedrooms beds are comfy. Also loved having the laundry. Everything you need is within walking distance: Starbucks, shops, a variety of restaurants, a neighborhood grocery and a bit of nightlife.

I stayed here for three weeks in april 2012 with my two kids (husband stayed back in the UK) and can't say enough about this lovely apartment on the Strand, literally steps from the beach. It's the perfect place to relax and enjoy the best that Hermosa Beach has to offer. It's walking distance to shops and restaurants in the ideal south Hermosa location. The apartment is bright and airy with unbeatable views of the strand and sea. My family really enjoyed the rare treat of waking with the ocean at our toes. The apartment is impeccably clean and beautifully decorated offering every convenience of home. We thoroughly enjoyed every minute of our holiday on the Strand! We could not be more appreciative - Thank you Susan and Sean!

We could not have asked for a better place to stay in beautiful Hermosa Beach California. The apartment was roomy, clean and comfortable for our family of five and the owners could not have been any nicer. The beach was right at our doorstep and the location was nice and quiet yet close to everything. We would love to return again and again!
