My girlfriend and I visited Casa Herradura during Easter week for 5 days/4 nights. I wish we would have had more time - the house was great and in very close proximity to the beaches at Herradura/Jaco, canopy tours and other adventure activities. The area felt safe, and we did a good bit of walking - we walked down to the beach at Herradura (15 min walk), to the restaurants at Los Suenos Marina (25 min walk) and the local grocery store (10-15 min walk). We didn't eat/shop at any of the other stores, but next to the grocery store is a subway, pizza hut, and a bunch of retail shops.
Our favorite parts of the house were:
1) We really enjoyed the pool. There were all kinds of colorful birds, lizards and bustling around in the pool area, and it got really good sun from 9am-2pm.
2) The grill. We cooked almost all our meals there and purchased food from the local stores and markets.
Overall, a great stay. The area is very accessible to tours and activities, and all the ones we did knew the location of the house and picked us up with no problems. -

Me and my wife stayed here for a weekend in March, and have already booked it for 4 nights on Easter week. The house is easy to get to and has everything you need, we just needed to go to the supermarket and stock-up with all of what we wanted. Fully equipped, you walk in the door and feel right at home. Having a private pool is a big issue for us, and this was just what we needed, super clean and well kept. I fully intend to make this my "regular" rental when I need to go to Herradura to scuba dive or just for a nice weekend of R&R.; Highly recommended.

Casa Herradura was very well appointed and comfortable. The pool was lovely and we enjoyed sitting outdoors in the morning watching the macaws and other beautiful birds - even sited monkeys in the trees above on occasion. It's nice to have a car rental but also easy to hop a local bus to Jaco. Great restaurants in Herradura.

We were pick up at San Jose airport by a driver who drove us directly to Casa Herradura. To our delight, the home was fresh, clean and very well maintained, equipped with everything we needed for a very relaxing holiday. Located on a quiet street yet it was just a short walk to shops, grocery store, and a bank. Although there is a pool at Casa Herradura, the home is located a short distance from a beautiful beach and lovely restaruants. La mano de un tiempo maravilloso, te vuelvo a ver!

I stayed at Casa Herradura for a week with three girlfriends. We found it so relaxing and such a beautiful setting. The home was so clean and very well equipped with everything we needed to feel at home. The best part of our stay was... where do I start?! My list is endless! The pool was heaven, The outdoor patio was perfect to have our morning Costa Rican coffee and mid morning, afternoon and night fresh lime Margeritas! Victor the Seafood guy stopping by the house twice a week to sell us 4 inch long fresh prawns was amazing! The selection of Fruit and Veggies in this country is so wonderful and being able to prepare food in Casa Herradura was great because of everything being so well thought of and equipped. Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful home in paradise with us!

Snorkeling, hiking, Poas Volcano, shopping, seeing the crocodiles in the river, watching the monkeys steal fruit from a picnic table...amazing!! I never thought I would ever go to Central america (I'm afraid of spiders)...but I was asked to go and I decided to stretch my comfort zone! And boy am I glad I did!!! Chris and Leanne's place is clean and modern and extremely comfortable!!!
Drinking my Costa Rican coffee (100 mile diet) by the pool every morning to sipping my tequila margarita (100 mile diet) by the pool every night!!...
ps...I never saw one spider...awesome!!!
