The Lilly Cabin is a 2 bedroom, 2 bath mountain top cabin. Master has king bed and large whirlpool tub, upstairs has queen bed and large whirlpool tub, plus both have full bath. Full kitchen, dining area and great room with sleeper, plus stone wood burning fireplace. Large back porch with rockers, grill and a great view. Bird feeders and area wildlife add to the experience. Be sure to visit our web site (website: hidden) for a "virtual tour" and see all of what Lily has to offer plus 6 other cabins we own.
Area golf, hiking, horseback riding, whitewater rafting, boating and tubeing are close by.

Just outside of Hiawassee 1 mile off the Southern Highroads Trail, makes for the perfect location to explore the N. Georgia and N. Carolina mountains. Close to the Appalachian Trail, many gorgeous waterfalls, Lake Chatuge with over 100 miles of shoreline, Brasstown Bald, local fine dining and shopping. You can see both N. Ga. and N. Carolina mountains from the property. It's located at the end of a dead end paved road with easy access. No 4 wheel drive required here!!

My husband and I needed some place close to Hiawassee, Ga for a couple of days to visit with a relative in the nursing home. Other family members were going to join us over the weekend. After checking the internet and comparing prices with the hotels in Hiawassee, we booked with Laurel Mountain Cabins located just a few miles outside of Hiawassee. A two bedroom, two full bath cabin with complete kitchen and living room with a fireplace and wifi cost much less than two rooms at a hotel. We were so glad we chose this property. We stayed in the cabin named Lilly. It had high ceilings, beautiful views of the mountains on a full length porch accessible via the living room or master bedroom, comfortable beds with nice sheets (king downstairs, queen upstairs and hide a bed sofa), thick towels and an ice maker in the fridge just to name a few of the amenities. Between visits to the nursing home we would sit in the rocking chairs on the porch and enjoy the hummingbirds and amazing views of the mountains. The only draw back is the cell phone reception - spotty due to the mountains. There is a telephone in the cabin for local calls. The owners were very helpful in our situation. They knew we had a sick relative and offered to help us handle any necessary communication. Once we drove a little way towards town cell phone reception was fine. The owners take pride in the cleanliness of the cabins and this means a lot to me when selecting a place to stay. If you are looking for a clean and peaceful place in the mountains to vacation, this is definitely the place to go.

We love the Laurel Mountain cabins in Hiawassee,Ga and have been spending our vacations there since 2000. The cabins are spacious and so comfortable and the view of the mountains is so peaceful and relaxing. The owners, Don and Diane are wonderful and do everything possible to make your stay enjoyable. This is the perfect place to spend holidays, family vacations, or just a romantic week-end get-away in the beautiful North Ga mountains.

If you want to get away and no one bother you you have come to the right place! Great location,ideally accessible to just about any spot in the north Ga. and North Carolina Mtns. Hosts are very friendly and very attentive to their properties. cabins are very cozy and clean.

The cabins were so much more than I had expected. The full kitchen, hot tub and the wonderous view were perfect. Diane and Don are so helpful too. They know all the best kept secrets in the area. We have stayed there five times so far. Clearly the best place we have ever stayed on the east coast.

The "cabin" was beautifully decorated - and completely stocked with all the necessities. We did not have to bring - or purchase - any items other than our food. Sitting on the back porch in the morning - or late afternoon - with a cup of coffee and a good book, was about as close to heaven on earth as I will ever get. It was just perfect. Quiet, comfy, beautiful - what more could we want? Don and Dianne were there if we needed them, and were just like old friends, making us welcome.

A quiet setting, beautiful view from your cabin; I love to sit in the swing and just enjoy the sounds of the forest.
Don and Diane keep the cabins in tip-top condition. The first time years ago when we walked inside, my thought was - this cabin looks like it could be featured in Better Homes and Gardens!
It is our favorite place to 'get away' and relax.
Wish it was a little closer.

We thoroughly enjoyed the mountain scenery and relaxing sense of privacy with our own peaceful verandah views. Warmly welcoming hosts Diane and Don kept us well informed about the area. The cabin is amazing: spacious, immaculately clean, a great accommodation for celebrations or family gatherings. Loved the fireplace and the whirlpool bath, treetop views and fresh flowers on the table! Romantic, just right for couples, very private, and Diane and Don make it seem like coming home. Hoping to return during each season to experience this beautiful area! Highly recommended!

Words cannot describe the serenity of beautiful Laurel Mountain. We have visited many times during the past 10 years and have recommended it to loads of friends and relatives. Whether you are interested in hiking to the many awesome waterfalls in the area, hitting up a few of the local antique shops, horseback riding, boating and tubing in the summer, or relaxing on the porch to watch the hummingbirds while rocking on the porch overlooking gods creation, this is the place to do it all...or reconnect with loved ones in front of a roaring fire and playing games! Super family friendly vacation. Don and Diane are most accomodating and can give you guidance to local happenings. Once you visit, you will be back!

Don & Diane make you feel at home from minute you arrive till you leave. Our first visit was in May and October 2006. We continued that schedule through October 2010. Hopefully will return for visit this year. Location is great,with beautiful view from any of cabins. We have stayed in each of them. Each cabin contains ample amenities and very well kept and clean. Only thing we could say like the least is not being able to stay longer.

Great place to be, quiet, wonderful views, extremely comfortable cabins/cottages. A home away from home. Easy access to nearby Hiawassee. The cabins are more like mini homes and quite comfortable. We try to go at least twice a year just to relax. Kitchen, large bedroom, dining area.

We received excellent service from the owners.
The house was well furnished, included a hot tube.
The location was away from the noise of the town. Deer can be see at the evening and early morning.
I like the porch and the view of wating the wild bird feed daily. We stayed about 10 days and loved it.
