GETTING TO OUR LOG CABIN IS VERY SIMPLE: FROM HIAWASSEE, TRAVEL EIGHT MILES EAST ON HIGHWAY 76 (JUST BEFORE MILE MARKER 16) "TURN LEFT" ONTO SCATAWAY( CHURCH SIGNS ON YOU LEFT),"TURN LEFT" ONTO JACK CREEK ROAD, THEN: "TURN RIGHT" ONTO MY ASPHALT DRIVE; MARKED "KINGS RETREAT" ON THIS WINDING ASPHALT DRIVE-WHICH IS ONE QUARTER OF A MILE LONG-PROCEED TO THE TOP OF LAUREL MOUNTAIN. YOU WILL FIND AMPLE PARKING AT THE END OF THE DRIVE.
FROM CLAYTON: TRAVELING WEST ON HIGH WAY 76 "TURN RIGHT" JUST PAST MILE MARKER 16 ONTO SCATAWAY.

What a fabulous weekend! Thanks to the King family for sharing their secluded, private and quaint cabin with us. The mountain views were beautiful from sunrise to sunset. Leave all of your inhibitions and the stress of life's every day challenges at home and enjoy the relaxation at King's Laurel Mt retreat. Both the comfort indoors and the beauty outdoors will leave you with the experience of a true retreat!

This is a great place to get away from the hustle and bustle of city life! it has a really great view, you can see for miles on top of this mountain. You get really great service from the owners they are great people.

The cabin is one of the best places we have visited. The setting is very nice. The cabin is built in a special way that makes it fun to stay in. Every thing was clean and in order to make our stay enjoyable. You can sit on the large front porch with a mountain view and relax in a hand made chair that takes me back to good old days. The humming birds are always fun to watch. The owners are some of the nicest people that we have ever met.

The King's cabin is a wonderful vacation spot with all the comforts of home. We always look forward to spending some time there every year. It is in a great location, close to many fun things to do. But the best part is the front porch view - the sights and sounds in the mountains!!
