While the world was watching Kate and William get hitched, we come to Highlands to participate in my brother's wedding at the Farm. It was amazing, beautiful and the cabin served as the central hub for our whole family. My parents came from pa, my brother and his girlfriend from France and my husband, 2 yr old and 3mo old from Houston. The cabin was a great distance from town and the Farm and kept us all comfortable and entertained. No complaints. The owner even sent me some clothes we left there. When's the last time a hotel did that?

What a great time we had!! Even with lots of rain we went exploring the area, saw beautiful waterfalls and enjoyed the peace and quite of this cozy cabin. The area is great, loved the town of Highland and ate great as well. The cabin was so clean, and decorated so nicely I just loved our stay. Being away with 2 other couples there was plenty of room for all of us to relax and enjoy each others company.

We were not directly on the lake but the lakeview we had was spectacular. Sitting on the large back deck at sunset made you not want to leave. Even though it was not far from the main road, it had a secluded feel. The rooms were spacious and I loved the decor. You can travel to different waterfalls that are not very far away. It was just a peaceful and relaxing place to get away from the everyday hustle and bustle. I could have stayed there forever. When you go into town, Fressers eatery is a must eat at location.

Only complaint was check out time of 10:00 am had older people with us and was a bit early. I rent a beach house out and we have noon check outs and hotels have 11:00

We are sorry to hear you were not happy with the 10am check out time. Chris & I strive to exceed our guest's expectations in every possible way. We are often flexible with the check out time if there isn't anybody checking in the same day. In this case, we had another party checking in at 3pm so the housekeeper needed to start cleaning at 10am to have this 3 bedroom, 2-1/2 bath cottage perfect before the new renters checked in. In the future, please mention that you request a later check out time and we will schedule new renters to arrive at a later time. My friends and I enjoyed every minute of our stay. Mark and Chris obviously put the needs of their renters at the top of their list. From the call from Mark asking if we got there ok and asking if we had any questions about the property to the convenience of the location to the absolutely peaceful and wonderful deck overlooking the woods and lake - it was a wonderful experience and one we are repeating this august! Everything was comfortable and clean and inviting. No negatives - period.

Perfect location but the lack of central aC make it uncomfortable at times. Past summer was particularly hot In the Mtns. Master bedroom was air-conditioned. Accommadations were very comfortable. View of lake beautiful.

We stayed in the this quaint mountain cabin over a long weekend to attend a wedding in Highlands, NC/ The cabin is very close to town, but yet you feel miles away from the hectic city life! It was peaceful and beautiful with freshly fallen snow for our visit. The cabin is furnished just perfectly and we absolutely loved our stay there!
