West Palm Beach, FLThis was our Dream Cabin in the Woods
Left on 12/05/2012 for a stay in November 2012
This log cabin is situated on a finger of Lake Sequoia. It comes with a large canoe and a dock. The paddling was fabulous, even on the day the lake was covered in a film of ice! We loved the ambiance of the cabin, with the rustic, yet comfortable feel. We felt the pictures did not do it justice. The two brand new bathrooms are beautiful. The king bedroom upstairs was roomy with the adjoining loft, containing many foldout foam chairs. We did not use these but they would be nice for children. The queen bedroom downstairs is small but cute. The kitchen adjoins the dining and living area so no one is left out. The kitchen had all we needed to cook, even for Thanksgiving dinner. The large livingroom fireplace was wonderful on our Nov chilly evenings. The back deck extends the length of the house and you would have little reason to leave it during warmer weather. It overlooks the lake and has comfy lounging chairs. The town of Highlands is minutes away with many fine dining and shopping opportunities. The staff of the Chambers agency made check in and out easy. Our welcome bag from them was a nice touch and it included the very best locally roasted coffee. We could not have had a better experience. It would be lovely to experience it again when the beautiful backyard full of rhododendrons are in bloom.

Needs a proper Weber grill, the one there is terrible. I stayed here before for 6 weeks and actually bought and paid for one but they must lock mine away for their use. thanks. the chairs on the porch...the porch is fabulous by the way...are horrible. very hard to get in and out of and I ended up with a terrible back ache. for the price I think a grill and a couple of nice chairs is not asking much. Winter Garden, FLnice getaway
Left on 10/06/2010 for a stay in September 2010
I spent the last week of September in Mallard Manor with my wife and infant daughter. We loved the seclusion and dock views of the lake (no fish caught, though!).
The home is charming and functional, however, over-cluttered to an extent and dark. We found the toilet upstairs to be leaking and could not use it. Additionally, there were numerous lightbulbs out and the sink garbage disposal did not work, which proved to be a nagging problem all week.
The kitchen was well-equiped and the Cable/Wireless network was welcomed since we had 3 straight days of heavy rain.
My experience with the Chambers agency was wonderful and I would recommend working with them to anyone.
