Apple Lodge is a one level older mountain cottage that had major renovations in 2010/2011 - making the transformation to Apple Lodge! Wiood floors throughout most of the home, upscale kitchen with tile, all new appliances, beautiful cabinetry, and convenient to the serving areas and dining room. Spacious great room with dining, gas log fireplace, comfortable seating and entrance to the covered porch with dining and gas grill. We just spent a week in this cottage. It is wonderful. The pictures do not adequately show the size of the rooms, or how clean and well done they are.
The master bedroom and master bathroom were very large and well appointed. They appear to be brand new. The living area (LR, DR, and kitchen) also appears to be new. The kitchen has everything you could possibly need.
The second bedroom, its en suite bathroom, and the 3rd bathroom are all a little dated, but adequate nevertheless.
This was our first time to spend a week in Highlands. It is great. We will be back.
