We visited HHI in July 2011 and stayed at Island Club 3304.
First, the environment: Hilton Head Island is truly a family friendly island. We loved the time spent on beach, the food at restaurants, and the friendly people there.
Second, the rental office: I have to comment on one lady at the rental office in Island Club. Her name is Ruth. She was very helpful and quick in addressing the little problems (phone not working, broken washer) we had with the room during our stay. Also, we think Island Club is on a piece of beautiful property. If you are not looking for fancy stuff, then this could be a perfect vacation rental for you.
Then, room 3304. It has a nice ocean view. We enjoyed sitting on the balcony in the morning and evening and listening to the ocean waves. But, it could be better. Our major complain was with the restroom. It had mildew on the bathtub in the master bedroom. Also, when we first moved in, it had moldy smell here and there. Not very strong, but enough to turn your head away. It improved after we opened the windows to let the fresh air in and kept the aC on to help with the air circulation.
Overall, we enjoyed our stay at Island Club and Hilton Head Island.

We have been coming to I.C for over 15 yrs. We found this condo to be far inferior to other family members condos on this visit. Very average yet the price was the same. We also find that parking is becoming more and more of a problem, and the swimmimg pool cannot handle the volume of people attending, at least in July. Although you probably cannot do anything about, we found our beach lifeguard to be very inefficient. We always rent for the week 3 umbrellas & 6 chairs, usually at a cost of over $400. This year we were so far down the beach that not one of our family members could find our location without the guard taking us to the chairs. He also failed to enforce beach policy of not allowing other beach goers to place tents immediately in front of the blue umbrellas. Please pass our comments along to the company that manages the lifeguards. I do compliment you on your outstanding employee, Ruth Ferguson, who is always pleasant polite and very helpful to our family before and during our stay.

the check on process could have been better. Maybe prioritize the cleaning to accommodate early arrivals.

Love the beach

Overall the condo was fine; we stayed here the year before and asked for it again. Minor issue in guest bathroom with shower head and both tubs drained extremely slow. This condo was not as upgraded as some of the others that we viewed with other family members who were also staying this week or I would have rated it higher.
Suggestion to rental company: mail a reminder 30 days prior to stay that the final payment is due and state what the final amount due that is owed. Your current e-mail system did not work for of our 4 families and caused us some issues.

Great Family Beachfront property

As an older property (Island Club) it was kept up extremely well. Our family rented 4 condos and loved everyone of them. We loved the property being right on the beach and with easy access to the rest of the island. We plan on staying here again.
The kitchen in this unit could use updating and more cooking utensils (pans, bowls, platters,etc.)brought in, but it wasn't bad.
I also liked that the unit was very open and airy with a great view of the beach. -

We enjoyed our stay in Hilton Head. The condo was beautiful and there was plenty of room. We had a view of the beach and was such a close walk to the beach and pool. The pool there was perfect for my little ones. I would highly recommend this condo.
The only thing I wish they had in there were coffee filters provided. But Im a coffee freak in the morning.
