We will never use any other rental service but Destination Vacation. The home (13 Sandhill Crane) was beautiful, updated and had easy access to the beach. Loved the key less entry also. I am sure we will rent this house again when we are down for a short visit.

This home is well maintained and offers plenty of space for as many as 10 people comfortably. Located on the beach path with easy beach access. Noise levels leave little to be desired depending on visitors in homes around this home at time of stay.

The house was fabulous and very clean. The pool was also great. Close to the beach we had the best vacation ever. Would love to stay at 13 Sandhill Crane again. We personally recommended this property. Excellent rating all around.

This was our second year staying in this home (2 weeks this year) so obviously we have some positives to share: large, shaded pool (in morning and late afternoon); on beach path - kids ages 3-7 easily walked carrying their own gear; comfortable layout all on one level with nicely updated baths. A few negatives: no gas grill; had trouble on several occasions with keyless entry - code was changed without notice and/or incorrect code given to us; electrical outlets do not work in many places - outlet covers also missing in many spots; bedroom window treatments are cheap and don't work very well; handle on sliding door broke off during our stay. For us the positives (pool and proximity to beach) outweigh the negatives but the house does need a little TLC over the next year for us to continue renting it.

Sea Pines was a great location to vacation at. We enjoyed the fact that the plantation was centrally located and close to the beach. We rented bikes and that really added to our experience. The house we stayed in was fair. We were somewhat disappointed in the fact that there wasn't a gas grill for cooking outside. Also the kitchen table was much to large for the area and clogged up the entrance and exit to the porch. The pool was very nice and the bedding and other accomodations were fine.Also the lack of lounging furniture in the screened in porch really reduced its usefulness. The service at Destination Vacations was excellent and very professional. We will definitely vacation in Hilton Head again and use Destination Vacations services. I don't think we would want to rent the same house. Thanks again for everything.

My family and I had a wonderful stay at Sandhill Crane 13. The weather was
fabulous and the area restaurants were great. This house is located within
easy walking distance from the beach and it has a pool. We spent time
riding bikes on the beach but found ourselves hanging around the pool
more than we expected. The trails on Hilton Head are the best so we used
our rental bikes a lot. The living room and kitchen area of the house was
perfect. Comfortable and updated. The screened in porch was used as
well... delightful. Three bedrooms and three baths were perfect for us since
we were 3 couples - each got their own bathroom. The only thing I would
suggest to the owners, given the age of the house, is to update the
bathrooms and some of the window treatments. Everything else in the
house appears updated or timeless. The house was comfortable and
charming.
I highly recommend Sandhill Crane 13 and would love to visit again - hope
to in the future.

Sandhill Crane 13 was perfect for our family. The home was great and it provided a refreshing pool and convenient location close to the beach. We appreciated that the pool was cleaned twice during our stay and that the kitchen was equipped well enough for the week. The washer and dryer really helped too. Staying in a home was so much better than in a hotel or condo.
It would have been nice to have information about the other services and activities in Hilton Head, i.e., where to call about renting bikes, closest grocery, etc.

We are grandparents with two married sons, their wives, and two grandchildren, a one-year old and a two-year old, who vacationed at this house. The house has just the configuration we wanted with three bedrooms, large, well equipped kitchen, nice screened in porch, easy access to the beach, lovely in-ground pool. Only two things were missed all week -- a gas grill (we hadn't cooked on charcoal in years) and a rocking chair to help get the little ones to sleep.

Destination Vacation is the best agency to rent a home or villa with in Hilton Head. We had some issues with the home and they were accomodating in everyway to resolve the issues. This was our second year renting with Destination Vacation and I will rent again.
13 Sandhill Crane is a perfect location not too close to the beach which drives up the prices nor not too farway average time to walk to the beach 3 minutes. 13 Sandhill Crane looked to me to be one of the biggest lots on that beach path. The yard was beautifully landscaped and the backyard was full sun for the pool. The pool was very nice way larger than we ever expected with new paver stones. There is a 900ft screen in porch with paddle fans we spent most our time there eating our meals and enjoying conversation. This home is perfect for families who have children. The entire back of the house is glass windows so children in the pool can be watched from the dining,kitchen,and greatroom.
We were disappointed in the bathrooms they were very dated 70's 80's fixtures. Now days we all want modern kitchen and baths I even expect it when rental prices get above $3000. The house does need a new cooling system it was not able to keep up with the 98-101 temperatures. With all this being said I will probally rent this same home next year I only wish I could afford 2 weeks.
