Cincinnati, OHVery nice location. Short walk to the beach
Left on 03/28/2013 for a stay in July 2012
There were many family's that stayed with us and everyone was able to fit comfortably. I loved the little walkway to the beach. Although it's a public access we didn't run into many people at all. It really worked well with a stroller since we had little ones with us. I would come back again if I had a large group of people.

IndianaFunctional but dated with lots of maintenance issues and problem
Left on 08/20/2011 for a stay in August 2011
When we arrived the smell of decaying blood from the freezer was horrendous. The freezer had been shut down and not cleaned. Because we had small children who needed a nap, we had to stay--so we purchased disinfectant and cleaned the melted blood mixture out of the bottom of the freezer. One of the bathrooms had not been cleaned and there was urine on the floor and hair in the shower. There were lots of maintenance issues--including only half of the outdoor grill working, shower doors that wouldn't open all the way--there is a huge list. By the time the maintenance group got back with us, we had already cleaned up the freezer and bathroom. the biggest problem was the refrigerator which didn't work all the time. The evening of our arrival, we put $40 worth of chicken in the refrigerator that we had to throw out the next day. As a vacation home owner ourselves, we were a bit upset with this experience. The great deal we thought we were getting (on cost) turned out not to be such a great deal after all. However, we ended up having a wonderful time, but would not choose this property again.
there were several positives about this house. I loved the decor--well done! There were plenty of bedrooms, lots of table space, great dining room, lots of room in kitchen, plenty of cookware/pans (if you could find them), lots of kitchen gadgets (unfortunately, they were crammed into every drawer and had to really search for them), close to the beach, backyard well-shaded, and house had large open rooms. I wouldn't choose this property because of the maintenance and cleaning issues we had--I could have easily overlooked the dated structure.Response from Destination Vacation - 09/02/2011

Destination Vacation is deeply troubled by the issues noted in this review. The experience outlined by this guest is inconsistent with other guest experiences at this property, and we regret that this particular guest had a bad experience. 13 South Beach Lane has been rented every week of the summer to satisfied guests, cleaned each week by the same professional cleaning company and inspected prior to each arriving guest by the same team of inspectors.
We encourage guests of all of our homes to call our office at the time they notice any cleaning or maintenance issues, and we pride ourselves on responding quickly to these calls.

Knoxville, TNGreat place for family and friends
Left on 06/22/2011 for a stay in June 2011
Love this house and it's location. Convenient to beach, Salty Dog and to Harbor Town. Stayed here is 2010 also! The only negative is the louvered doors which don't offer a lot of privacy and sound buffer but the overall house positives far outweigh that! The upstairs air unit did not function all that well this trip but I'm sure that will be fixed since it was reported! Would definitely recommend to family and friends. We had 4 adults and 7 children from 7 to 15 and there was plenty of room! Nice pool too! The beach access is just a couple of minutes walk and the crowds were small!

The house was a great location, but the doors on all the rooms might as well
be non-existent. -

GeorgiaDelightful!
Left on 03/26/2010 for a stay in September 2009
Several close friends joined me for a kind of 'reunion'. The house was perfect for this, truly beautiful, and the proximity to the beach was another nice aspect.
A couple of minor problems (garage door, Internet not hooked up) were fixed in the first couple of days even though it was a holiday weekend.
It was one of the most pleasant and most memorable vacations I've ever had. So relaxing and joyous.
Be sure to rent a bike. Biking in Hilton Head is one of the very best things to do because of the scenary and because the bike trails are so well done. -

We took the whole family-10 of us- and really had a great stay. The pool was nice and we weren't that far from the beach. Since the grand kids are big enough to walk and carry a few things it wasn't to far to walk.
The house was nice. I do wish that they had solid doors instead of the louvered doors. The noise was pretty bad if someone wanted to watch TV after you went to bed. Other than that it was pretty nice.
