At this price point and location and house size there are certain expectations. It is not unreasonable to pay a higher price to receive that same value in return. The home is exceptional with a great floor plan. All the bedrooms were great. The pool was nice. Location next to beach path made it convenient to ocean. This is our 30+ stay in the island. We have some experience of what works and what is desired. Stating that and with this home here are a few things that really, really need to be addressed:
Do not advertise a high end outdoor grill when it is clear the grill has not worked for quite some time and is in serious need of major repair and cleaning.
Getting worn out feather pillows in the first floor living room reached a point of us looking for the bird's nest. Everyday several feathers found out and around the floor in the living room. And the ceiling fan in the living room should not need to be rigged to work - as accomplished by using a toothpick to keep the switch in the on position.
Kitchen... Ok, no one really keeps the best china and glasses in a rental, that is for sure - but seriously - well worn glasses in a limited number supported by a various collection of plastic glasses?!
Speaking of kitchen. I understand refrigerators need repair from time to time. I get that. But to have a refrigerator sitting in corner of dining area and to have a broken microwave with a note inside to use the other and very cheap microwave counter top model instead?! Stove needs a fair amount of adjustments to the burner.
Had these items not existed I would give this place an excellent rating. But as I stated for this price range and market there are high expectations. If the items and other things become issues due to lack of attention the place could well become average as it sits with the other homes in this location/market/rates.. -

This house far exceeded our expectations! We had my 90 year old mother, 4 children with spouses and 6 grandchildren and we were never crowded. The upstairs den is perfect for children. The location is wonderful and the pool perfect. I cannot say enough wonderful things about our experience. Everyone in our family requested that we rent this house again.

The house was fully equipped and well furnished and equipped with lots of features we really liked. It was close to the beach and in a beautifully planned community with streams and ponds and bike paths and lots of beautiful plants and trees. The rental agents were very attentive and came when called to fix the internet and another problem. The only problem which we didn't report at the time was that the ac didn't work in some of the upstairs bedrooms while it was freezing in the master bedroom on the ground floor.
