This South Beach location in Sea Pines has the best of both worlds – beautiful beachfront views and a short walk to the South Beach Marina Village. Bask in the sun on the beach or the private complex swimming pool or enjoy the many activities like kayaking, shopping, dining and fishing. Get up close and personal with the Island’s wildlife on one of the dolphin cruises or kayak tours. This beachfront villa has 2 bedrooms and 2 full baths and is located on the first floor with a deck to enjoy outdoor dining or enjoy the ocean breezes. The location makes access to the beach walk easy. Beach...side Tennis is located where the Atlantic Ocean and Calibogue Sound meet. It’s location is a favorite with Hilton Head Island visitors. First time in the area, very pleased with condo. Very well kept, homey, and we all easily made ourselves at home for the week. Wondeful family time:)

Nice Villa but poor beach access/orientation
Left on 09/25/2013 for a stay in September 2013 | Frequent Visitor's to Hilton Head
This villa was comfortable on the inside, and the view of the ocean was beautiful. However, there was constant maintenance going on outside the building which prevented us from sitting outside on the deck or poolside. We also did not like the beach access. We had to walk a considerable distance to find a beach where it was safe to enter the water. There are signs all around warning people that you could enter at your own risk because of severe drop-offs and strong currents.
This is the first and last time that we will rent a villa. We are frequent visitors to Hilton and we've always rented a home. We decided to try a villa because we did not have additional family joining us on this trip. It is worth the extra money to have the privacy and quiet atmosphere that we've come to enjoy in this community.
If you are not visiting to use the beach, this villa would be a nice choice. Read more
Destination Vacation appreciates this guest's feedback on 1849 Beachside Tennis. We realize some guests are happier with homes whereas as others prefer condos, and this guest seems to fall under the former category, especially with his long history of home rentals. Same situation with the beach...the beach at Beachside Tennis is located on the Calibogue Sound and is perfect for walking, relaxing and watching wildlife (dolphins, pelicans) and shrimp boats go by. For guests who prefer swimming and riding waves, the beach on the Atlantic Ocean would be more enjoyable, which is what this guest probably would have preferred. We always encourage guests to call our office before finalizing reservations in order that we can talk to them about the differences in locations and amenities on Hilton Head, of which there are many!

The biggest plus to the condo was the layout and the cleanliness of the interior. It was extremely clean including the kitchen and we were very comfortable with the two separate deck areas and big room. Sea pines is a great area if you love to bike, fish, kayak etc. This condo is in walking distance to the Salty Dog which is very convenient. On the negative side the condo is showing it's wear. Some of the furniture needs to be replaced now. The carpet needs to be replaced, patched, and/or cleaned. A knob was missing from one of the cabinets in the master bath. There was a crack in the microwave. For over $2000 for a weeks and only a two bath, two bed facility you would expect to have a very nice property. That is not what Beachside Tennis is. It needs to be refurbished.

We have vacationed in Hilton Head for over twenty years. We even have owned five different villas all over the island. The Beachside tennis villa was the best for location scenic views and comfort. Vacation destinations professionally met every expectation. Next time, we will not hesitate to call Vacation Destination.

This was our second stay in this area, but first time in this condo. It was a beautiful place, lots of space & very clean. You can see the beach from the porch, and walk right to it along a little path. It's basically a private beach as well, and has tons of wildlife. We say tons of dolphins, and many bird species. You are right next to the South Beach Marina where you can shop, eat, get ice cream, or hang out by the fire pit. I will definitely be back!
nice location and generous size

We were very pleased with the location. The view is beautiful and the area is well landscaped and quiet. The condo is very generous in size and having a view and porch from three different living spaces is very nice. The weakest part of the condo is the furnishings in the living room. Not only is it dated but all the seating is very uncomfortable. This unit would be great with new carpet, living room furnishings and a little attention to the bathrooms.
I've had better units at Beachside Tennis in the past.

I've rented through Sea Pines and HHI Vacations and had better experiences than I did through Destination Vacations. Gate pass not ready upon arrival so took 30 minutes to get into Sea Pines at 10:30 pm. The unit's carpet was in need of replacing (worn and ripped), one sliding glass door did not secure, yet rental company put in writing that any doors unlocked after departure would be responsibility of renter. Front door did not lock from outside either, as door frame was cracked (we fixed the latch ourselves so unit could be locked from front door). In other units we had access to beach chairs, a fee cleaning supplies, etc. but nothing here.
This was not a horrible unit - just average.
Perfect location and great accomodtions!

The team at Destination vacation was very accomodating and provided great customer service. The villa was clean and nicely decorated as well as updated. Loved the new shower in the master bathroom! The poolside location was very convenient especially with kids.

Beachside Tennis in Sea Pines is by far the best place to vacation for our family. The condo units on the first floor provide our children (one with special needs) easy access to come and go while we have fun in the pool or on the beach. Everything is close at hand, so you never have to get in your car to go anywhere should you so choose. It's truly a vacation!

The unit was great--we hadn't stayed on the first floor before but enjoyed the access to the pool as we had a very warm (80's and humid) week so there
were plenty of changes to enjoy the water.
The management company Destination Vacations is very responsive to all questions and requests
which has not been our experience with other companies. We needed a new coffee pot because the other was leaking. this was delivered the same day and a couple of small maintenance items were handled immediately by the staff who came to the unit.
We rented another unit on the second floor in March 2010 for a month and had the same experience with the management company.
The entire staff is well informed, knows the units and the policies and gives you a knowledgeable response without having to spend a lot of time trading phone calls while they check
with someone else.
Being a homeonwner myself I know the many things that come up and it's nice to have someone else
attend to everything in a timely and efficient manner Thank you
relaxing and easy

we have stayed in this unit for the last 4 of 6 years and love the location of the unit to the pool, beach, shops and resturants across the street. We have always been pleased with the unit upon arrival, except this year the shower in the master was not very clean. There was hairs stuck on the wall. I had to clean it was to gross to think about. Our fridge never did get cold but stayed cool. I am aware when food and drinks are put in it takes a while to get cold, but never quite made it to cold. But I am planning to reserve this same unit for next May. This is the first time I can ever think of a complaint in all the years we have stayed. There were a few rowdy guests at the pool a couple of nights (late).
Nice but not exceptional

We have stayed in the unit several years. The location of the unit is fabulous,
but it needs some updating. It could also use some better kitchen supplies.
The furniture is pretty old and warn and the bed is getting a bit soft. A nice
flat screen in the bedroom would also be a plus. The rent is pretty high and
with that should come a few more amenities, but overall it is clean and a great
place to be for a couple of weeks.
As to the grounds....the grills need to be cleaned a bit more often. We cook a
lot and often are cleaning the grills ourselves!

1849 Beachside Tennis is perfect for 2-4 people. Great views, very close to the
pool, short walk to the beach.
Comfortable, not cluttered, and up-to-date amenities.
Great location in South beach.
