2215 Villamare was exactly as described. Well, appointed, clean and ready upon arrival. Close to the pools and beach. Would definitely stay there again.
Great week at HHI and Villamare

We really enjoyed our stay at 2215 Villamare May 5-12. The location was perfect and the size of the Villamare was just right. Plenty of amenities, direct access to the beach, nice pool area, close to several golf courses and right at gate to Palmetto Dunes resort. May is a great time to visit HHI, too. Our condo was extremely clean, well kept and very accommodating. Only minor issue was hearing noise from the unit above and some renovation work going on nearby. Easy to rent bikes, just called and placed an order which the rental place delivered the bikes to our condo in less than an hour. We are ready to come back.

This is our 5th stay at the Villamare. The villa's are clean and comfortable and stocked with all the comforts of home. Within walking distance to the tennis courts and the general store. The only negative, and a minor one at that, is the washer/dryer are apartment size. Since it was just my husband and I, it worked okay, but I could see it might be an issue if you had small children and lots of wet beach towels.

We had a great experience.

We loved the villa and the resort. Very clean and well kept. Our only complaint was because we had to keep at 72 degrees, it was stuffy and we had trouble sleeping esp. 1st nite.
Best family trip yet!

We were impressed with the unit overall. It was clean and beautifully decorated. The kitchen was well stocked and furniture was comfortable. We had never been to Hilton Head before and loved it. We had a wonderful relaxing time and couldn't have picked a better unit for our family with 3 young children! The only need for the unit would be a better sweeper. We would definitely stay there again. Thank you!

Great piano music, great beach walks, great Condo

Maybe we overdosed a little on virtuoso piano pieces but the four day Hilton Head International Piano Competition for Teenagers 14-17 was great. Our Condo was large, clean, and well furnished. It was close to the beach, and we took two three mile walks a day. Would recommend Villa Mare without reservations. We'll be back. Our friends were envious.
Adequate, I guess

The 2 bedroom apartment/condo/whatever was very nice. The kitchen was adequate, and adequately stocked with pans and such. There were no spices, not even salt, which was a little surprising. The warning list for the garbage disposal effectively meant that we didn't have one. The beds were comfy, and the rooms were large and well appointed, if a little over decorated with golf themed stuff. The property was pretty, and I suppose would be just fine in the summer with easy beach access and an outdoor pool and hot tub, which I assume are open later than the 5:00 p.m. that the indoor pool, hot tub, and fitness center closed.

Our check-in was bad but the rest of the week was great. We couldn't get into the rental - a locksmith was called but it took quite a while and we were tired from our flight from Denver and than driving from Savannah. The condo needed to be dusted and the floor cleaned but besides that it seemed fine.

Villamare is a lovely property. Wonderfully maintained, the grounds are great, the pool was a welcome addition (places we've stayed in the past didn't have a pool). This was our first stay in Palmetto Dunes, we've always stayed in Shipyard on our 8 prior trips to the island, and we enjoyed it with one exception. No resident tennis courts and this condo didn't have tennis rights. We did find a really nice public park off the plantation to play but it was always great to be able to hop on your bike in Shipyard and go find an open court. Loved being able to kayak the lagoon system, Alexander's was fantastic for dinner and of course, the beach! There were a couple minor nits with the condo but nothing worth mentioning or that would prevent us from staying there again. If we stay in Palmetto again we'd probably go ocean view and certainly would get a place with tennis rights. Otherwise, really enjoyed it!
Relaxing and comfortable

I'd start by praising the website for Beach Properties. The property descriptions were accurate and the maps of Hilton Head and of the properties allowed us to make a choice that was right for us. Our villa was in very good condition and well equipped. The rest of the property was very nicely landscaped and maintained. We were able to choose a villa away from the pool, which we thought might be noisy. Being near the road was not a problem at all since it was a quiet community. Palmetto Dunes was quiet and relaxed. Loved being away from a lot of commercial activity. The staff at Beach Properties made sure we had the coupons we desired for a great golf vacation also.
Thanks again for a great time.
