Just inside the gates to Sea Pines Plantation this house was 3rd row from the beach, maybe 200ft. So location was ideal. Between the ocean and the pool the kids were in heaven. The house is great for multiple or extended families. Lots of room to spread out and relax. Little musty when we arrived but aired out well. Pool heater failed twice but Beach Properties had someone there promptly to fix it. Bike, golf, hike, beach, swim, eat. Great holidays in Hilton Head.

Beach Properties responded to my concern about the grill before we even arrived. The pool was beautiful and the ocean very close by. The house was large enough where everyone had their space but could also gather together. The porch where we ate every night was a bonus.

Re: 26 Ruddy Turnstone
We had a great week! The house was very nice and in a nice location, but I do have a few complaints about it.
We had an a/C problem when we arrived...which was ultimately fixed.
The pool deck is cracking & the inside of the pool needs to be refinished. I know it's clean...but it always "looks" dirty.
We had an ant problem in the house. You sent help & we kept spraying them, but they kept coming back.
The 3rd "master bedroom" upstairs...wasn't really a master bedroom. Kinda of small!
Beach Properties was excellent and responded immediately to all our needs. We thank you very much and we will gladly use your services again when we return to HH.
Thank you again,
Phil Gross -

This house fit our famly to a "T." The bedroom situation was perfect for us, especially the 4 twin bed bedroom for 4 of our small grandchildren to share. Wonderful pool, short walk to the beach. An overall warm and comfortable house.

26 Ruddy Turnstone had all we could ask for. Plenty of room, close to beach, pool for cooling off. Screened porch was very nice but due to heat we were not able to utilize as much as we had hope. There was 12 of us and everyone had plenty of room. Kitchen very accomodating for those who enjoy cooking.

This house is spacious and well appointed, made Thanksgiving dinner easily for 10 people without missing anything. You feel like you are at home and not in a "rental". Easy and quick walk to beach, plenty of room for everyone to do their own thing. We had two little ones and the house was kid friendly and very clean.

This spacious, beautiful 5 bedroom house was the perfect location for a family getaway. We were a party of 4 adults and 4 children and the short walk to the beach was ideal. Since our kids were advanced swimmers, the deep (10ft) pool made their day. Wouldn't be recommend to young children though. We enjoyed having lunch on the screened-in patio after each swim. The house is well maintained although required much maintenence. The kitchen sink clogged up during our stay but the property management was quick to fix the problem next day. The kitchen cabinet door fell off which was quite dangerous, and parts of the rattan floor ripped which could potentially cause tripping hazard. Over all it's a great house but would only recommend it to adults or families with older children.

OhioA little pricey for what you get compared to the other rentals w
Left on 01/09/2010 for a stay in September 2009
The house was a close walk to the beach but compared to the other houses we have rented over the past 3 decades it was overpriced. For starters we had to be interrupeted during our stay-tho the people who did come to the house were very nice it was taking time out of our private vacation time. The grill wasn't working right-the outside shower was broken...certain lights weren't working etc etc. The pool was very cold and intitialy wasn't clean--there were wasp nests in the lanterns by the pool. (to heat the pool for one week it would have been an additional $600.00!!) Crazy--the house we rented before had the heated pool included. When we rented the house it was on "special" but we were quoted the wrong price and when we confirmed that we wanted to stay there suddenly it was a lot more $$. Beach P. did reduce it by 10% but it was still more than their original quoted price. In general Beach P. have been good to us...but this past year we were somewhat disappointed. This doesn't take away the fact that we did enjoy our vacation but we weren't as thrilled with the house as we had been with our past rentals.

Thank you for your comments concerning your vacation with Beach Properties.
I am not sure what you are referring to as an interruption but I do know that sometimes on the day of arrival the pool companies are working feverishly to get all pools clean before check in but are not always successful. I have tried the foot shower and it is working now and I have reported to the owners about the functionality of the grill.
I am glad to hear that you did enjoy your vacation and we hope you will be back again to enjoy one of our homes that does offer free pool heat. -

Great rental for a large family with lots of space for everyone. Very kid-friendly - our grandchildren especially enjoyed the media room in the evening which gave us some 'quiet time'! The screened porch is ideal for meals with the children - no worries about messes! Location is great and just a short walk to the beach.
The house itself is not easy to find and I would suggest arriving before dark.
A few oddities - a house of this size should have a full size washer and dryer instead of a small stack-unit which is awkwardly placed. The dryer vent spilled lint over the shrubbery at the front entrance, which was rather unattractive!
The gas grill was disgusting (extremely dirty) and barely worked.
Otherwise, a great place. We would certainly rent it again. -

We have rented a deozen different houses on HHI over the past 10 years. All things considered- price, location, quality/comfort of furnishings, pool- this was out favorite house. We have rented direct ocean front homes at twice the price and been very disappointed. If this house came up for sale I would definitely consider buying it.

The home was perfect -- roomy, furnished nicely, well kept, close to the beach, and peaceful. The Hilton Head experience was awesome as well, walk to the beach, ride bikes around the island and down into the "busy" area with shops & restaurants . . . the beach itself was so interesting - expanded during the day and then the tide would come up at night . . . riding bikes on the beach, catching waves enjoying the company of others on the beach, yet having a peaceful quiet home to retreat to -- just perfect!

Left on 12/16/2009 for a stay in August 2009
We rented a 5br 4 bath house 3rd row from the beach in Sea Pine Plantation.
We were three generations and all had a good time.. When we weren't at the
beach or pool we were enjoying each others' company in the lovely screened in
porch. I would not rent another house with. We ate, drank and laughed the
whole week screened in from the elements even when we did get a day or two
of rain.
For such a large home though the parking was very rough and you had to be
an engineer to navigate the small driveway -

My family has stayed at 26 Ruddy Turnstone for 7 years. We find that it accomodates our needs perfectly. It is a well stocked house that has plenty of areas for both the whole group to gather and spaces to be alone.
