You can watch the sunrise from your balcony, which is shared between the living room and the master bedroom. Tastefully decorated in uplifting colors, the living room offers a queen-sized sleeper sofa, and a 52 inch flat panel TV with HDTV featuring Blu-Ray DVD. We really enjoyed this condo. The view is spectacular, everything was neat and up to date, and the TVs were very large, which made it nice for renting movies.

We have stayed at Shorewood before but not this unit. It exceeded our expectations (as always). The condo (while older than some) is well equipped; beautifully furnished; clean; exceptional views and great building location to pool and beach. The ease of reservation and timeliness of getting the final documents to us was also excellent.

View of the ocean is exceptional and proximity to the beach for walking and riding bicycles is great as well. Public tennis courts were nearby. Unfortunately we didn't have the time to experience the new outdoor spa area
The villa has been updated in many aspects since our visit two years ago which was very nice. Kitchen countertops may need to be revisited.
Everyone we spoke with in reservations/services was friendly, helpful, and responsive to requests.
Overall, a wonderful experience again! We plan to return next November.

overall we were fairly satisfied. We have stayed at Shorewood several times and enjoyed 409 shorewood. When we first got there it smelled like cigarettes and is advertised as non-smoking but lysol helped improve this. I suspect it may have been the cleaning crew. The spare bathroom seemed to have had a recent leak from the condo above it and did not appear to have been fixed professionally. The kitchen was ok but a bit dated but the view was great. Fairly clean and comfortable! We would probably stay there again.

Nice location and resort. Unit 409 needs some maintenance works. Broken screen doors. No teaspoons in the silverware set. Stove took forever to boil small pot of water on any burner. Counters not clean and trash loose in cabinet with trash can. Carpet very worn.

No restaurant/bar on site
Cosmetic condo updates were cheap and cheesy. Just good enough to make the photo look like it's new with expensive updates. (counter top was painted to look like granite).
Found out that some rooms are overpriced for no good reason. Shop around for other condos in this resort before you book.
Overall...it was a great experience and will do it again. -

Reserving this vacation condo online and sight-unseen made me somewhat nervous. Once we arrived, all anxiety was relieved! It was everything we'd hoped for and more. Perfect location with picture window and balcony looking directly at the ocean, and as close to the beach as you can get. The pool was very relaxing and clean. The weather was perfect all seven days of our stay. The condo was clean, well cared for, nicely decorated, and had everything we needed. The condo is in a gated complex and close to plenty of shopping and restaurants. A great value!

This is our second summer vacation at the Shorewood. The first was in a different villa in 2008 (Unit 203). 409 Shorewood was very spacious and the flat screen televisions and blueray players were a hit with the family. The unit was immaculate and you provided excellent service (due to slippery bath tubs we had requested bath mats-within 2-3 hours housekeeping dropped off 2 new bath mats). The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was well-equipped. The balcony provided an excellent view of the sunrise and was a great place to have a late night snack. The location is ideal for walking to restaurants and shops.

The 409 Shorewood location looking out at the Ocean with easy walking distance to Coligny is wonderful. The unit itself - although having newer furniture and Tv's, needs work and we were disappointed with the broken/missing slats on the blinds. The carpet needs to be replaced, and the flooring edges need to be repaired. If these changes are made it would be awesome!

First time staying on HHI. This condo fit our needs perfectly. Oceanfront...short walk to pool and beach...couldn't ask for more. No problems at all during our stay. Beautiful view from balcony. Short walk to restaurants and shopping. Have stayed in many small beach towns up and down both Carolina coast and enjoyed this vacation the most. Perfect if you are looking for a relaxing vacation...not a lot to do in HH other than enjoy the beach which we did.

Great location/beach/weather/well most everything
Condo was comfortable and easy to live with...
Blinds need updating, they kept falling off and I got fed up with repairing them, they would not close fully which meant we had a nice early (bright) start to each day
I did call the office about the blinds but nobody appeared to have a look at them as promised
a good idea might be to have a change of bed linen/towels when people are staying for more than a week.
We were just OK with towels as we were only 2 people in a condo for 4 so we just used the extra towels we found in the other bedroom
Maybe renters who are driving bring their own linen but as we were flying in we had to carry all our belongings with us in 2 suitcases... no room for bed sheets
Even with these minor niggles we still had a fabulous relaxing vacation and in fact we loved it so much we'll probably be back next year...! -

There were 4 adults staying at the Shorewood on my remembrance of staying there over 10 yrs ago.The condo was even better than I had experienced previously, newly redecorated, comfortable and with all the amenities of home-all with the ocean view and close proximity to the water/pool. It was very quiet with no noise heard from any of the neighbors or outside at any time. Parking was ample and condo location was just right for walking or driving to/from. We ate out for most of our meals and honestly cannot say we had a bad meal anywhere. Employees were friendly and helpful. Karen of the Beach Properties was most helpful in setting up our stay. Good directions to the condo with lots of local information also mailed to us for our use. My friends rated this vacation better than the one spent recently in Hawaii and want to come back.Thank you for arranging our 4 night stay and making our trip memorable.

This was our second year in a row at 409 Shorewood. Unable to go back in 2010, we plan on 2011 and beyond. The view from the deck is unbelieveable. We sat there morning and evening taking in the ocean sights, sounds and smells, watching the bunnies and birds below. The complex is quiet, the villa roomy and clean. The pool area is never crowded with plenty of chairs. Good family atmosphere. Would recommend to anyone!!
