Cleveland, OHNice split level located perfectly near the beach a a leisurely
Left on 08/31/2012 for a stay in August 2012
Although really in need of an update, this house was perfect for our family. Each of us got a spacious bedroom with our own showers. The house was neat and clean and well apportioned. The kitchen had everything we needed and was spotless. I felt very comfortable cooking there. We used the gas grill and had many wonderful dinners around the dining room table. We enjoyed coffee each morning on the screened in porch too.
The pool was the perfect size for us and very warm. The outdoor shower was very convenient as we spent lots of time at the beach and easily showered all of the sand off right before jumping into the pool. The lot is actually very private too. The walk to the beach is at most 2 minutes (depending on how much stuff you take at a time!) We love biking the trails and this location offered a close access to many trails. We really loved this house! The only thing we would have to say we disliked is the long trips to the grocery store. However, we loved the location of this house so much, and we were close to Coligny Plaza and all of its fun, we really didn't mind it too much! Oh, also, the wireless router did not work well and you could only use one computer at a time. Maybe an updated router is in order. But, overall, we would definitely stay in this house again! Thanks Beach Properties! -

West VirginiaCustomer service? Awesome. House? Not-so-much.

I must first say, my dealings with Karen Marts and Beach Properities-top notch.Great to deal with, very thourough, very helpful. At some point during our stay, our "heated" pool went cold.I called and someone was there within the hour to fix it,very impressed. The house itself? Not the greatest.Had a very strong musty/old smell, especially in all the kitchen and bathroom cabinets/drawers.It was so strong, I didn't want to store any of our own things in them. Also,it wasn't as clean as I would have hoped. There were several areas I cleaned myself when we arrived, that just looked competeley untouched/overlooked.One of our other big issues was the amount of "debris" outside, most importantly,on the cars. There were a couple rainy/windy days. The house would benefit greatly from at least a carport.Besides the large wads of sap (that was extremely hard to remove),there were tremendous amounts of pine needles, leaves, and sticks/small branches covering the cars every day.One night in particular,we were awakened very suddenly with a an extremely loud banging thud and tumble sound on the roof, and found the next morning a very large tree limb on the ground right next to the cars.It had apparently broken off during a storm that night, and hit the roof-landing dagerously close to the cars.If it had hit one of the cars,it would have definitely busted out a window,or placed a large dent in the hood or roof, and caused a great deal of damage. We certainly realize you have no control over the weather, but we feel there are sensible steps that could be taken to protect guests' vehicles from inclement weather. We love Hilton Head, and particularly love Sea Pines. But for this amount of money,we have stayed in much nicer, cleaner, more updated homes with garages. This is by far the worst house we've stayed in for the money. This does not take away from the customer service we received from Beach Properties.Again,wonderful. But the house leaves a lot to be desired, and we would not choose to stay there again.

Beach Properties of Hilton Head
Manager
First, I would like to thank you for choosing Beach Properties of Hilton Head and taking the time to complete our e-comment form. We value our guest’s comments.
I am glad to hear that the issue with the pool was resolved in a timely manner. As for the cleaning issues you encountered upon arrival and please know that I have shared your comments with the owners of the housekeeping company that services that home and also with our Beach Properties inspector. We feel that we have all the appropriate inspection processes in place so that this does not occur, but obviously this fell short on this occasion.
As for the landscaping of the home, it does have many trees on the property, but I will have the landscape company take a look that them for removal of any other "potential" hazards i.e. dead limbs etc. A garage or carport would be very nice amenity, but there is really no place to put one without detracting from the front of the home, but I do understand your concerns!
I hope that you will give Beach Properties of Hilton Head another opportunity to show the type of results we have tried to build our reputation on!
Thank you again for choosing Beach Properties of Hilton Head and hope that you will think of us when planning your next vacation

We are former owners of rental property in Sea Pines and appreciate the use of the owner's home. We understand what it takes to keep up rental property with the demands of in and out traffic throughout the year. This property was well maintained, however the walkways could be reset to be more level and areas for refuse containers need to be more isolated and better identified. Outside storage areas should be cleaned and damaged lawn/pool furniture should be discarded. The immediate area outside the pool access door was cluttered and the stones were not level. One area addressed on our comments card was the buildup of mold in the skylight in the kitchen apparently due to condensation from the air conditioning vent in the ceiling. These items are brought to your attention as we know how important they are to the rental company as well as the owners. Our stay was very comfortable and most enjoyable. Thank you.

I took my mother, 2 sisters, 2 daughters, and 3 grandchildren to HH for a Mother's Day getaway. It was the first time I had done this and was a bit apprehensive about how it would end up. However, because of the way the house was set up, the heated pool, and proximity to the beach, it was a wonderful experience for all. My eighty year old mother said it was the best Mother's Day and vacation she had ever had.
The one thing that needs to be addressed at the house is the microwave oven. I was a little concerned about using it due to the interior...so that definitely needs addressing. Other than that, it was a great place to stay. -

The layout of this house was perfect for our group. Based on the combinations of people, parents, adult children, friends of parents, friends of adult children... it was easy to segment the groups so that everyone could do "their thing" without bothering the others. The screened in porch was great... We just really enjoyed our time there.

We had the best time in 4 Cedar Wax Wing. Just the right amount of space and lots to do! Everyone had a great time and we have a lot of wonderful memories of our home away from home. We were in the right spot, not too far away from the beach, but not too close. The pool was a nice refresher after spending a couple of hours at the beach. Everyone was able to take a shower whenever they wanted and the kitchen was big enough for people to stand around and talk while cooking. Our table fit all 9 of us comfortably, and the beds were ever so comfortable!

Our extended family stayed for a week and especially loved the tree shaded private beach access. We had several small children with us and there were no worries of crossing streets to get to the beach. It was a pleasant walk and cool because of the trees even in the hottest weather. We also loved that the kitchen had plenty of everything needed to cook with and eat and drink from. The pool was wonderful.

We were very satisfied with our experience beginning with working with the Beach Properties staff in our planning and booking phase all the way through our arrival and stay at 4 Cedar Waxwing.
The property was very well maintained and perfect for our family. The location was great - only a minute or two walk to the beach.
We liked how easy it was to find a property to suit our needs and how friendly the staff was in helping us reserve the property. We loved that this vacation was fun for the whole family - from elderly my elderly grandparents, my parents, myself and my children.
We have already recommended Hilton Head as a destination and Beach Properties as a company to friends and will continue to do so. We are looking forward to our next vacation to Hilton Head and will be calling Beach Properties soon! -

Toledo, OhioCome on Mom, Let's go for a bicycle ride!
Left on 12/15/2009 for a stay in April 2009
I called my Investment Analyst and told her NOT to release any funds as I was sure my children and grand children were trying to eliminate us via the "Bicycle Path" torture. HOWEVER, We showed them. We lived through it. We rode our bicycles everywhere and it was invigorating. On the beach among the jellyfish, around the inland ponds averting the alligators, to lunch, to supper, and to go fishing. Of course we had the rented big tires versions and the kids brought theirs from home which were sleek and narrow tired. We traded one time. THEN the kids realized that we were exerting much more energy than they were. There were 10 of us in a group that rode bikes. Ridng on the beach was the best. As for the rest of the vacation.. The home was beautiful and served our every purpose. The pool was heated to 82 degrees as stated and we swam 3 times a day. The area was peaceful and there were plenty of attractions to entertain the smaller children. You just gotta go! We were 3 rows from the beach and the beach boardwalk ran rdirectly next to our home. We rode our bikes to the beach daily. Easy walking distance. Every family member enjoyed this famiy Christmas present right down to our own crab boil. (we caught our own crabs) You just put hot dogs on a fishing pole and hang them where the crabs are. You just gotta go!
