Warner RobinsFamily Enjoyment
Left on 08/09/2012 for a stay in July 2012
The staff at Beach Properties called several times to check on us during the visit. My family, young and old, enjoyed the property. It was great to have upstairs adult area and downstairs kids area. The kids actually loved the pool. Although the house is second row, its location was right next to beach path. The short walk took 2 minutes, if that. We actually could hear the ocean at night. The screened in porch was loved by "us true southerners". We used it as a secondary living area for meals, phone chats, naps and overall catching up. /tge
The refrigerator and freezer were not working properly. I have a large extended family that gathers regularly on the weekends. Non-commercial grade refrigerators have been handling our size family on this trip. I know it is an expense, but the refrigerator needs to be replaced. A repair person came in on Friday. I don't think his repair did the trick. We had to by ice for cool drinks several times during our stay and had to throw away items for fear of getting sick from the improper food temperatures (the ice cream never froze). Although everyone liked the amenties, two of the bathrooms on the bottom floor were very tight. The attached closet helped the bath in the twin bed room. The main living area is on the second floor and bedrooms on the bottom floor, so ranch dwellers be prepared for some exercise on the stairs. -

barrington, ilcleanliness?
Left on 04/09/2012 for a stay in March 2012
In general the home was as pictured.
Our complaint involves cleanliness. 2 days into our trip, a pair of boy's Speedo swim trunks were found in the bed our daughter was using. Apparently, the bedding was not removed and cleaned prior to our arrival.Response from Beach Properties of Hilton Head - 05/07/2012

Cleveland OhioA good value
Left on 05/12/2011 for a stay in May 2011
5 Long Boat is a very nice place to stay with a big family. There are 4 bedrooms, and a den that has a fold out couch and doors that can easily be used as a 5th bedroom. The pool and hot tub are decent, but nothing fancy. It is located in a quiet neighborhood and is only a few steps to the beach located right on a public access path.
The kitchen was nice, but the appliances were not the best quality or best maintained. The refrigerator took a long time to cool, and the vent hood over the range appeared to be working poorly. Those issues aside, the kitchen provided ample space to make large meals. The gas grill was also very good, and located on a deck right off of the kitchen. The dining table seats 8!
The master suite was large and lovely with a huge bathroom. The other bedrooms each had a bathroom located en-suite, although they were not very large.
The driveway can get cramped with more than 3 cars parked in it.
This is my second time staying with Beach Properties of Hilton Head. Both times have been excellent, good value, and little hassle. -

Really enjoyed the house and the location was great. Cost to heat the pool was excessive. Bedding could have been cleaner.

We loved the house and the location. Would stay here again! Very minor things that we found all dealing with the audio visual. The main tv keep blacking out half the picture. Plasma may be going bad. No Espn! This drove my husband and son crazy.

Laura, OhioGreat Vacation Home!!!!!!
Left on 12/19/2009 for a stay in September 2009
The service was amazing, we had no problems. The home was great it had everything we needed for our vacation. The location was only steps to the beach you could see a glimpse of the ocean from the home. You could hear the ocean. It was everything we wanted. The best thing about this home was the location and the size what a great value, the least that I liked was the pool could have been bigger but it was fine for our needs. I would rent this home again. Love it!!!!!

Roanoke vaThe house and area are lovely.
Left on 12/15/2009 for a stay in October 2009
This was my first trip to Hilton Head after the death of my husband last year. It was still the beautiful, restful place we had come to enjoy for years. The house is lovely and affords privacy on every floor with en'suite's in all bedrooms. It is a little difficult to carry groceries up to the top floor (being 63 years old limits some of that old energy)but once one is settled in, the house and location are great.
