The house was very spacious and had plenty of room for large, multiple families. The kitchen was very nice and well stocked for eating and drinking.
We have babies and toddlers so we had to baby proof a bit. The main stairs were a problem for us.
The living area was very nice and had a great view. We grilled out and enjoyed the multiple decks.
There was quite a long walk through the brush to get to the beach, and there were a lot of painful burrs. We turned right out of the house and cut through the neighbor's yard and took the wooden path to the beach to avoid some of the burrs.
The pool was nice, and the small hot tub area worked as a kiddie pool for us. The pool was expensive to heat, so we didn't use that option.
There was a ton of wildlife that our kids enjoyed watching, including deer, birds and squirrels in the yard, and dolphins, sharks, and sea lions in the ocean! (It was just a little 3 feet long baby shark.) we got to swim right next to the dolphins and sea lions.
The master shower was great, but the jets in the other large bathroom did not work.
We rented bikes and baby equipment. We enjoyed biking around the island and to the salty dog marina.
Loved the interior but the exterior was weak !

The house interior rooms and amenities and location were terrific. The exterior and pool area need alot of work. The actual distance to the beach is arduous when dealing with small children. The $1000.00 charge to make the pool usable is ridiculous. The Beach Properties service was excellent, as usual. Read more
Response from Beach Properties of Hilton Head - 04/15/2010
Thank you for your comments about your recent stay with Beach Properties. We try to make sure all vacation experiences are great ones!
The back yard, which includes a putting green, is very close to the dunes which leaves little room for grass etc. The charge for heating the pool tends to increase with the cost of propane so we try to make sure the owner is reimbursed for the fuel usage.
Thank you again and we hope to see you back in the future!
