With its center island location, this 2nd floor, 2 bedroom and 3-bath, end unit is set up to meet both your family's lodging needs and their proximity to outdoor recreational activities.
Upon entering the front foyer, two inner doors open to separate sections of the villa. Door 53 leads to a second small foyer that provides access to a hall bath, with a walk-in shower and a stack washer/dryer, and then opens to the main living area.

The rental was perfect for our family of 4 (2 adults, 1 4 year old, 1 1 year old). Our kids shared one bedroom and we took the room off of the family room. It was very clean. It was a central location, with the beach and pool very close. We loved riding our bike places too.

Third time at HHI, but 1st time at this villa. Loved that the balconies off the bedrooms faced the lagoon. Comfortable villa -very clean with adequate kitchen supplies. Quiet in the evenings-did not notice noise from neighbors voices or TV/stereos,etc. Very close to the beach---basically just walk through the villa parking lot and you're there. Could not see ocean from this villa due to trees and buildings, but great view of lagoon. There were 3 individuals in my party so plenty of room for us; however, it would probably be a bit crowded to fill to capacity of 6-8 people. Average size outdoor pool on the complex which was kept clean, but had a "closed" sign at entrance of pool area for the first 2 days-not sure why as all looked clean and ready. Called the Sunset Rental staff on Monday and sign was soon removed later that day. Villa is right on bike trail so be sure to rent some bikes and take advantage of the trails and the beach via bike-especially in the mornings. Only real negative thing I have to report is we killed a giant roach in the kitchen on our last night there. Did not see any other bugs or critters of any kind in the villa prior to that. Overall, I would stay at the villa again depending on the size of the party I was travelling with.

The layout and location is wonderful. The powder room with the shower and washer/dryer was difficult to enter because the washer/dryer were oversized and got in way of the entry door.
It also looked a little "tired".
Please note this was back in 2009 so things might have changed. -

This was our first trip to HH and while we loved the island and the beach, I really could have used a little more personal interaction with the agent. I remember considering returning to Myrtle Beach instead of HH just because I had not idea what it would be like there. I think the agent could have been more patient with me.
