We were very pleased with our stay at 22 Surf Scoter. The house is spacious and comfortable in all rooms. The kitchen was easy to navigate. Comfortable beds, plenty of space for our family of six to spread out. An easy walk to the beach, as well. With the proximity to Harbour Town and South Beach Marina, the location in Sea Pines is hard to beat.
A Good Time Had by all

As you know we owned this house a number of years ago and have been renting it on and off for years. We enjoy it very much and are use to it. Its location, close to the beach is perfect, for us. The owners who acquired it from us did a great job with opening up the kitchen area. It makes the one floor layout even more comfortable than before.
The only problem is that the house is old and one can't get away from the problems that come with an old home. Although one does not smell the mildow much when we are there, it comes home with us and one has to throughly wash clothes that have been in the closets and draws (even if they were clean and never used)to get the smell out. I doubt anything can be done to remove this problem but you might look into it. Also, the vent fan in the 2nd master is very old and sometimes works or doesn't. That should be replaced.
Lastly, although it did not bother us to much because we like the house, the new house being built up a bit is costing a fortune. Those people do not care what others think or go through as long as they do not have to be bothered. So instead of installing the four portable toilets down on their property for all the workers to use, they have had them placed across from the entrance to 22. They are obviously not attractive to look at and see the workers using them and quests coming down to the beach would probably object to where they are positioned. Tou should speak to the contractor and see if they can be removed down on to that property. They certainly have plenty of room for them.
Perfect house for our family. We love the place!

We love the house and return repeatedly every year. Our only complainant this year and last is the construction noise occuring on a nearby house. Hopefully it is near completion. The distance to the beach is great and so is the pool for the moments when you want a dip but not the walk to the beach. Good on over cast days.

So happy to find a smaller house on HHI! We loved the house and the location was just incredible! Snuggled smack dab in the middle of South Beach and Harbour Town, this house created the perfect vacay for our family. We loved biking for ice cream during the day, running off to see Gregg Russel at night, and frolicking in the pool and ocean the rest of the day. We will be back!
Very Nice Home

We enjoyed staying at this home, it was very comfortable for all of us. We noticed a picture missing from the wall, we reported it and someone came to make a note of it so we wouldn't be held responsible, good service on the part of The Vacation Company. We liked that it was close to the beach, the kitchen had everthing we needed. What you see in the pictures is what you get! We would definitely go back!
This was a really good location for our family.

First of all, the maintenance was superb. We had a couple of minor problems when we first arrived and called the Vacation Company and they came out right away and fixed everything. This house was great for our family . . . except the Wi-Fi would cut in and out, which made it difficult for our son, who was working while on vacation. And our cell phones did not work in the house. And even though the house is a little dated, it was clean and functional and we will definitely stay at this house again.

Great kitchen and location, but entry needs painting!

We were very happy with the remodeled kitchen. Very spacious and inviting for gathering. Our first impression of the house was not as good. The foyer area of the house needs painting. The paint is stained and peeling. The carpet is stained. Consider replacing with the same floor as kitchen. Pool was good, but wish it were more private. Excellent spacious bedrooms and enjoyed private baths and accesibility to TVs. Overall, very happy and might stay again next year if more cosmetic work is done. Loved proximity to beach.

as said, the construction was annoying, all day beep beep from heavy equipment, lots of contractor traffic - do you ever check locations for this ? If we would have known...appreciate your comments ! Hb

We had a great time. The house was nice. Not so "perfect" that we were afraid to have the kids there.
We were concerned about the pool. No fence and a child could walk out that sliding glass door straight into the pool but the kids were good. We didn't use the pool because it was dirty and the water cold because of the constant water running in from the hose. It looked like it had algae or something growing on the bottom. Also the dryer quit working the day before we left. Love the locations and all in all it was a great time.
