My family and I love Hilton Head Island, we have always stayed in a condominium on past trips, but this year we had an additional 6 people that we going to attend, so a condo was out of the question. I took a leap of faith on 48 Dune Lane based on the photos and descriptions listed by the Vacation Company and found them to be spot on! The property and accommodations met our every need and in most cases surpassed our expectations.
The property was close to the beach, a 40 second walk, so everyone could be on their own schedule and if you forgot something it was not an inconvenience. The home was comfortable, clean and well appointed, and most importantly all the appliances worked, the dinnerware was nice and there were plenty of utensils.
The only hiccup on the trip is that the wireless internet was not working when we arrived and we did not get it resolved until that Monday, not a big deal, but some folks who have to be wired in were getting a little stressed.
Would strongly recommend this property to anyone who has 10-12 people on vacation, there are area's in the home large enough to accommodate the crowd, yet the home also offers enough privacy so you can get away from the crowd. Great vacation, as usual I will use the Vacation Company again next year when we venture back to the Island. Read more

We loved the home on Dune Lane. Great space for us and our children and grandchildren. Our only complaint was that the pool did not seem to be filtering properly. Large amt of debris collected every day and stayed on top of the water and in bottom. We called The Vacation company who sent someone out to check it. Put more water in it. Next two days , the same thing. Called The Vacation Comp. who sent Pool comp. to clean it. Helped for 1 day then back to the same situation. Other than that, great house . Could use some updates but overall very comfortable. Love the location. Read more
Thank you so much for your review of 48 Dune Lane. Your comments about the pool are very helpful and we'll see what can be done to improve the filtration. We hope that you'll return to stay with us again soon.

Excellent place for a large extended family with children. Very spacious with each bedroom area having privacy...close to shopping, grocery, and beach. The relaxing porch, grill, and pool were enjoyed by us and the grandchildren. Very clean... Read more

I was unsure of the distance to the beach, but was very happy when I made the walk the first time. The house worked out very well for the 11 people staying in the home. Two families with children from ages 6 to 16 stayed during the week of July 30th.
This home has an awesome location and the service at The Vacation Company was great but the inside of the house was very dirty with stains everywhere. Pool was great but hot tub did not work. Overall an OK rental home...
the house was nice but think that the kitchen should be much better stocked with everyday household items ie; salt and pepper shakers, serving pieces, serving utensils. For a house that sleeps 10 the kitchen was poorly equipped. Also, although we left at 7am on the day of departure, we left our 24 year old son sleeping as he had a later flight. Food that was left on the counter and in the refrig for him was thrown away before he woke up at 9:15. Wasn't check out at 10? Cleaning should not have come into the house at that time!!!

Loved the house - great layout for families. Accommodations were very comfortable and user friendly. Had a few issues with maintenance items;response from mgmt.company was very quick.
The house was adequately stocked with kitchen items, however it was lacking in serving pieces, bakeware (the frying pans need to be replaced), and general odds-and-ends (lighter, candles, place mats, pens, etc.)

I greatly enjoyed the house. I stayed in the upstairs with the two bedrooms and bathroom, and that was perfect for my family. My in-laws loved the downstairs king size bedroom. Loved sitting by the pool every day.

I thought this home was generous in size and I liked the location to the beach. It was very clean inside and out, but I thought it could use some updating and better decorating, it was pretty dated and could have been really cute if there was better furniture and overall decorating. The carpet was old and the seams were coming up. Other than a few cosmetic upgrades, I thought the house was nice and the beach was fabulous as always!
