The unit was grimy. Electrical outlets in bathrooms would not work. Microwave oven did not work. It did not seem that much care has been given to the unit. Definitely overpriced considering its condition and upkeep. I would have to be convinced that things have changed before I would rent this unit again.
Night Heron a perfect spot on Sea Pines

We have stayed in the Night Heron community many times in a variety of different units. The location is great, a short bike ride/walk to the beach, just inside the Sea Pines Ocean gate, and close to grocery stores and restaurants. We love the community pool and the tranquil setting with lots of wildlife (gators, squirrels, birds, etc.) Unit 62 had a nice 42 inch TV which was a hit, but it fell short in a few areas: 1) kitchen poorly equipped when it comes to utensils and pots, pans, etc. We got by but it pales in comparison to other units we've stayed in. 2) no beach chairs or rafts were available and we had come to expect that having had them available when booking other units 3) no grill! ended up borrowing one from a nearby unit but this would have been nice to have available. 4) only 2 deck chairs were provided and all of us spent time on the deck in the morning and in the evening and we had to bring the clunky dining room chairs out onto the deck (that is somewhat smaller than the decks in other units) for everyone to be able to sit and enjoy the nature. Other than that, the unit was clean, nicely decorated, and we all had a great time. I would definitely recommend Night Heron, but not unit 62.

Place was prefect size and space for my husband and our 4 children ranging from 10-13 year olds. $ houses from outdoor pool great for after the beach. Only issue was major bug problem which we believe resulted from trash left underneath the house in trash cans.
