Fort mill, SCHome away from home!
Left on 05/02/2013 for a stay in April 2013
The minute we walked in to the house we felt right at home. We are a family of 5 and had plenty of room! To have a pool in the backyard & the beach a 2 minute walk away made our short weekend getaway all the better. This will be our vacation home from here on out. Thank you for sharing it

This was our first visit to Hilton Head and a very pleasant experience it was for us for five weeks in February/March.
As for 2 Cassina Lane we loved it from the moment we set foot inside its walls to the moment we reluctantly left for the long drive home to the frozen north.
Previous reviewers have waxed lyrically about the house and how well it is equipped. We have nothing to add to all the nice things that have already been said except to suggest to hot tea drinkers who like their tea brewed in a pot to bring their own Brown Betty.
On a more serious note at least two of these reviewers mentioned the haphazard comings and goings of service people entering the yard through the gate and doing their pick-ups of garbage/recycling and servicing the pool or spraying the house. To be caught in my skivvies by the pool boy ( it happened ) is one thing however to face Ken "one call that's all" Nugent's liturgical wrath should one of our dogs had bitten a service man is quite another. By the same token a careless service man leaving the gate open and allowing our two $2000 English bulldogs to escape into the street and be lost would have been bad too.
A simple schedule for service people indicating the day of the week and the time of the day (am or PM) that they are to be expected to be on site would be a useful. Armed with this prior knowledge we, and future dog owning renters would arrange to have our dogs inside the house or us all to be elsewhere during their visit.
Oh and be advised to pick up your keys before nightfall !
We were not expecting Hilton Head to have no street lights. This fact coupled with our unfamiliarity with traffic circles had us going in all directions as we tried to find our way from the rental office to 2 Cassina. All we can say is "thank you Mary" the voice in our GPS without whom we would have been totally lost without her calm directions to the house.
And yes --- we have booked again for the same period in 2014.

We have been coming to Hilton Head for over 20 years . Our family always enjoys our time here. This house was great, plenty of room and really enjoyed the pool withh fenced in backyard for our dog. Very nice neighborhood and so close to beach. House was very well equipped and very comfortable. Palmetto Sands Realty was great to work with. We plan to reserve this house every year from now on!

We loved this property! The inside was warm and spacious and provided a great floor plan for a family with young children. The pool was private and the walk to the beach very short. We will be making this our new favorite stay in Hilton Head so we can enjoy our dogs being on vacation with us! Don't let the outside picture of the house dissuade you...the interior and amenities are amazing!

Left on 07/13/2012 for a stay in July 2012
My family of six enjoyed a truly wonderful time in Hilton Head and this perfect home. The rooms are big. The separate living areas provided ideal space for everyone to have some 'quiet' time when needed. Whenever we were not at the beach (a short walk away) we were in the pool. My grandchildren are still talking about it. This home was clean, appeared to be recently updated and very comfortable. Palmetto Sands LLC was very responsive to any of your questions and truly made us feel as if we were their only renter. Perfect!!! Hope to return next year!!!

Have been coming to Hilton Head for about four years and this is our favorite place to stay. House was clean, well furnished and the perfect fit for my family. Loved the walk through the " Arbor of Trees" to the beach. Ate all of our meals outside by the pool. Wish the pool water had been warmer, but could not pay $700 to heat it. This amount seems really high. However, we will return.

2 Cassina had everything we needed and then some. The home was clean, comfortable, and provided a great location to take advantage of the bike trails, beach, and shops at Coligny. The fenced yard was perfect for containing our small dog and providing privacy for self-conscience sunbathers. We found the kitchen well equipped and the blender was incredible. We're going back in the fall...need I say more?

Left on 05/10/2012 for a stay in May 2012
We had a great time at this house. Having the private pool with the fenced in yard was a huge plus. Since it is pet friendly and we brought our dog. It was his first trip to the beach and he had a blast. The walk to the beach is very short and it was really nice to not have to cross a road to get there. Our only gripe is that the week went too fast!

2 Cassina Lane was a great place - we really loved it. I would rate it up there with some of the nicer places we've stayed in Hilton Head Island. It's not large or fancy but it's very charming while still providing pletny of room and amenities. The kitchen is well equipped and the furniture was comfortable. The showers had very good water pressure. The short walk to the beach was one of our favorite aspects- the path is very enchanting! Fortunately we had beautiful weather and were able to take advantage of the backyard pool. Our kids spent as much time there as they did on the beach. The only negative comment I have is about the pool area and cost to heat the pool. $700 for one week seems very high. We have a 20 X 40 pool and we don't spend that much in a month to heat it. The pool area also got dirty very easily because of falling leaves. We spent a good bit of time sweeping clearing the deck area and pool. That was a small inconvenience - we would definitely stay here again.

2 Cassina Lane is the perfect little holiday house with cottage decor, quick & easy beach access & all the toys you need to feel right at home. Best thing ... nothing required from us in terms of house-keeping when we left. Thanks loads & can't wait to go back next year!

Louisville, KYOne of our most pleasant and relaxing vacations
Left on 11/16/2011 for a stay in November 2011
After a couple of referrals to Palmetto Sands, I spoke with Paula and told her of our needs. She gave me a couple of choices. We decided to stay at 2 Cassina due to their recent replacement of furniture and mattresses.
Never having stayed at the house, or using Palmetto Sands, we kept low expectations so as not to be too disappointed. That was a wasted exercise, as the house was better than described. First and foremost, it was very clean and had lots of natural light. There were "starter" supplies of consumables.
Although there were only two of us (and our dog), the house is well designed for two families, with the two largest bedrooms at opposite ends of the house, and multiple tv's and blu-ray players. The Carolina room was where we spent most of our time. The walls of windows looking onto the back yard were very inviting. My wife was pleased that the kitchen was well stocked. It was as if someone lived there regularly. There were sufficient bed linens and towels. The fenced back yard was wonderful since we didn't have to worry about our dog getting out. We did not partake of the pool, but it was clean and a decent size.
The house is, I guess, about 150 yards to the beach. There was practically no noise from the street, possibly due to the time of year. It is about a mile to Coligny Plaza, and about a 5 minute drive to Publix.
We liked everything about the house. The thing that we liked least was not knowing the days that service personnel (trash pickup, pool cleaning, etc.) would enter the back yard. Fortunately, our dog was not outside when they arrived.
We had a wonderful time, and hope to return next year, unless this review leads to more bookings and increased rates. ;-) -

This was a wonderful vaction. Hilton Head Island was beyond anything we thought it was, so pet friendly and that is very important to us. The house we were staying at was so nice. When I booked our rental on line I was a little nervous. But after settling in our house and having a great time, believe me there is nothing to worry about, Paula and Jennifer at Palmetto Sands were the best, even when we lost our Keys!!! It was so great that we have already booked our vacation for next year. Can't wait till then! Thanks so much for a wonderful week, Connie and Lorraine and of course Miss Bristol.

We had a fantastic vacation in HHI! The pictures of 2 Cassina simply do not do the property justice. The house was very comfortable, kitchen well-stocked, and the beds were all super comfy! The pet friendly property with total fenced in yard allows us to bring our dogs with us - - making the vacation complete! We would definitely rent this property again when we return to HHI!

The house was spotless and very well equipped. We very much appreciated that linens and towels were included and loved the flatscreen TVs in every room (somehow missed the bathrooms :)). The location was great -- an easy walk to the beach and very near restaurants, stores, and other amenities. Our dog especially liked the fenced yard, although he found the pool a tad confusing. This was our first trip to Hilton Head (we usually vacation in the Outer Banks) but it won't be our last. The rental staff was extremely helpful, beginning with the first phone call for our initial rental. Unlike rental companies in the Outer Banks, we were not required to vacuum, strip the beds and load linens into laundry bags, empty the refrigerator, take the trash to the street, etc. All we were asked to do was load and start the dishwasher. Couldn't have been easier (out of habit, we did take out the trash and empty the fridge -- we couldn't help ourselves). Thanks so much for a very memorable week.

What was even better is that the whole family could enjoy vacation including my four legged fur children. I would recommend this house and we will probably be booking our vacation again for next year

Left on 04/06/2011 for a stay in March 2011
2 Cassina worked out great for my husband, myself and our dog. We stayed the entire month of March so it was definitely used as "home". A side note, while it worked perfect for our small group, I don't think anymore than 4 people would be comfortable as it's not very large & seating would be tricky. The newly updated furniture/decorating was bright & cheery. The kitchen was the best furnished by far of any rental we've had over the years. The yard was in need of some TLC but the fenced yard was nice to have with our dog. Palmetto Sands staff could not be better to work with. They were extremely quick to respond to our needs.
