The personnel in the Destination Vacation offices couldn't have been nicer or better, they really take care of business. However, the house was very old and there are things that really should be taken care of (like the showers all over the house)better. There are lots of things that were nice about the property, but it needs help. The pool is very small and the plaster in it is in very poor condition. The linens and towels were lovely (not the usual) but a new mattress pad in the downstairs master bedroom is direly needed. Couldn't get the wrinkles out of it no matter how hard we tried. The location was very convenient for golf at the club and the ocean was literally steps away. The appliances were in good condition (loved the Sub-Zero frig - it worked well) and the furniture was comfortable (unlike some other houses we have stayed in). Another downside to it's location was that it was too near Monarch and all the people. We prefer a little further down the beach.
All in all it was a comfortable house for the family - enough space for everyone to do as they pleased (upstairs family room was lovely). It was just old and the bathrooms really need redoing with much better showers, they just trickled, could never get my hair rinsed thoroughly.
Well...you asked. All in all we had a wonderful vacation and you took very good care of the things we needed. We look forward to a better house next year renting from you. I just don't think this house was worth the money they charged for it. Read more
Destination Vacation appreciates this feedback, but we regret that none of these items were reported during the guest's stay because the owner of 20 E. Beach Lagoon is incredibly responsive to needed repairs. We contact all guests within 48 hours of their arrival date to make sure everything is satisfactory at the home, and nothing was reported during that call. In addition, we encourage guests to call at any point during the week if an issue arises. We pride ourselves on responding quickly to all reported issues, and we regret not having that opportunity with this guest or these issues.
Upon reading this feedback, we sent our Maintenance Manager to the house to inspect the plumbing, and everything was in normal working order. In addition, the guests who have followed have not reported any plumbing or water pressure issues. The mattress pad has been replaced and the pool deck plaster will be evaluated in the off-season.
Wonderful home with magnificent views!

Our family chose 20 E Beach Lagoon as a special place to celebrate my parents' 60th wedding anniversary and the birth of their great granddaughter. We were thrilled with the home. The views from both first and second floors are awesome. Indoor and outdoor rooms are spacious and beautifully furnished. The owners provide beach toys and chairs, Dvds, books, puzzles, everything you need in the kitchen and all other areas. Comfy beds...especially the Master. We all tried it out. Loved sitting in the outdoor loungers on the lovely yard over looking the surf...watching the stars at night and listening to the waves. We used the huge telescope to see fish jumping, and some sort of whale! The rental company was superb. Called to check and make sure everything was as it should be. Even overnighted a phone we mistakenly left behind. Our only suggestion would be to see about extending the wireless internet. We could not get it upstairs in the main living area...however, it was great downstairs where there are several nice sitting areas, including an office. That would not keep us from renting again. We love this house. Have stayed in HH more than once a year for the past 10 years and this is our favorite!
This rental was by far the nicest we have stayed in at Hilton Head. The house is charming, with plenty of room, comfortable furnishings and great uncrowded beach access. The cleaning people had done a great job. I would recommend this house for any family who loves the beach.

The house was beautiful and perfect for our family to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary. There was everything in the house you need and appointed beautifully. We so enjoyed the master awakening to the ocean view and knowing another wonderful day was ahead. The upstairs was perfect for the children playing cards, others puzzeling or just watching TV. Thanks for sharing your home. We enjoyed the photos of your family. What fun you must have at your beautiful home.

House was not as clean as I am used to upon arrival. A lot of cobwebs. Surfaces unwiped. Grill was gross.
Sparce furniture. No furniture on any of the balconies. No furniture to sit on in master.bedroom No chairs in the bedrooms at all. Only one refrigerator. No refrigerator on main level . Should have more kings beds. Limited dvd players. Sink in lower bedroom pours out onto surface and is not extended enough to reach the sink bowl. We just had to keep towels on the sink board.
A quality vacation in a great house at a superb location

We thoroughly enjoyed our vacation : grand parents, parents and grandchildren alike.
My only "reproach" would be the absence of king size bed in another "adult" room.
The only problem we had was with the garbage collection that was to say the least "erratic".

This house was comfortable, and in a good location in Sea Pines. It is a bit outdated, and for the money, was rather overpriced. But we had a good stay there. Too bad the floor plan doesn't take as full advantge of the beach view as it could have. The kitchen and major living spaces should have on the 2nd floor. We are appreciative of the "little amenities" provided by the rental service, such as towels and toilet paper. The washer's one cycle was broken, as we came to find out, and there were a few types of bugs inside the home.
