This was our second trip in a row to Hilton Head, and our second time at this home. Our son is in a wheelchair, and this house works well for us. Just a few houses down from a public beach access with a ramp to the beach. Several other houses on the island claim to be accessible, but the beach access (unlike this house) is not very good. A few caveats - the small backyard pool cannot easily be reached by WC, the house is only accessible by using the elevator (which is small), and the realty agency (once again) could not provide the code I requested for garage door access (this left one of us running up the stairs, through the front door, and down the inside stairs to open the garage door each time we came and went- to get to the elevator). This is a beach home that was made accessible after the fact, so not up to aDa standards, but it is the best vacation accessibility we have found. If one of the vacationers is in a WC, be sure to call "A Day at the Beach" - the Rosene's can deliver a beach wheelchair to you.
Overall, the house is very nice, but not so nice that you can't relax. Most likely we will be back! -

What a joy! We were able to take our wheelchair-bound son to the beach! After years of research (many rental houses claim accessible but not, or had no WC beach access) we hit the jackpot. House is short walk/roll to public beach access - all ramped/matted to hard sand area. Few issues: elevator is small - not all chairs may fit, and realtor needs to give garage code for access. Some doorways only 32" wide (leading from elevator so can't avoid). "A Day at the Beach" rents beach wheelchairs - special ordered a headrest because we needed it - Thanks, Amy!!

The staff at Hilton Head Vacation Rentals were very professional and helpful to our family throughout the renting process.
Our family enjoy our vacation at this home. This home was designed well with plenty of room for privacy, it was close to the ocean, and the private pool was great to relax in.
We enjoyed our time here very much.

This house had everything we needed...it is very close to the beach, enough bedrooms for 2 families to spread out, kitchen, entertaining areas, and a pool. There are sooo many places to eat and lots of activities to do on HHI. If you happen to have a rainy day during your stay, the outlet shops are a short drive away. We all enjoyed our vacation at the beach and would recommend this place to anyone that is looking to stay on HHI.

We needed a handicap location and this was ideal. The boardwalk & ramp went all the way to the sandy beach and was very accessable for wheelchairs allowing our handicap family member to enjoy the ocean too, we appreciated that! The pool was refreshing and clean although not much room for a wheelchair on the deck. The house is beautiful and perfect for a family of 9. We will recommend to our friends and hope to return again!

Great Girls Getaway!

Six of us girls spent the week at the house and had a wonderful time! The location to the beach, shopping and entertainment was fantastic. Only minutes from everything.
