Overall, it was a very enjoyable stay. The house layout was perfect for our two families (4 and 5 people respectively). The proximity to the beach, the dock/lagoon, and the pool each provided fun activities for all.
Would rent again, but have a few reservations...

Upon arriving, we found the pool and surrounding area not cleaned-I called and someone did come out to take care of it. I also reported a broken umbrella on deck and dirty carpet in the main living room-neither of which was taken care of. We had 5 small kids from 10mos-7yrs old so for us the dirty carpet was an issue. During the night one of the upstairs bedrooms did not cool sufficiently/very warm. Overall this is a nice home that needs some updating- inside and out. The furniture was nice and the floor plan suited our family well. We realize the price we paid for a home on Sea Lane reflected the fact that it doesn't seem to be as well cared for as others on the street. Due to the fact that the rental fee is one we can work with, we would probably rent this home again because of it's great location and because overall we enjoyed staying there. We do hope that some updating to the home does take place and we would most definitely rent it again. Thank you

I have rented vacation homes in Hilton Head for 5 years now and I was really pleased with what this particular house had to offer. The rooms and space was perfect for our group. I really enjoyed having the lagoon right out the back door with the pier. I found myself wanting to get off of the golf course so I could sit on the pier to do some fishing and relax at the house.

We lived here for 3 winter months and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The home is nicely equipped and furnished, and the back deck and lagoon view are very special. We loved having the gas barbecue. The flat screen tv is a plus. We did have a problem getting the mute to work, but Island Getaway did send someone to try to fix it. We enjoyed all the lovely camelias in the yard. We felt the short walk to the beach access was a great plus, and that part of the beach was empty and peaceful. The street the house is is convenient to everything and beautifully tree lined and a pleasure to drive down.
Wonderful week in Hilton Head

Our stay at 44 Sea Lane was wonderful. The house is beautiful and much better than it appears in photos. We were able to check in before 4 as the house was not rented the week before and checkout was a matter of just closing the door. There were six of us in the house including my husband, son, his wife and two daughters aged 13 and 9. The house has plenty of room for six peole. There were televisions in the living room and all the bedrooms and the everything was in excellent condition. The location is perfect as there is a lagoon in the back and a deck to fish off. We caught a lot of fish and saw many different birds. A blue heron became a friend and visited often. This house is located around the corner from the beach and we biked there. Of course, biking in Palmetto Dunes is excellent. The pool was fine although it was costly to heat. We would love to stay there again at it was the nicest place we have stayed in.
