We just returned from a business/vacation trip from HHI. This home was much nicer than the pictures portray. Extremely well appointed, furnishings and decor were nicer than any previous large home rentals (and we have rented many!!) Large areas for gatherings, common area is fabulous with more than ample seating. The downstairs is a wide open space for fun, including a pool table, ping pong table, television, and lots of space. We had no children with us but I would assume that kids would be totally entertained downstairs!
The elevator was a great touch for unloading. The upstairs kitchen was a nice touch for morning coffee for the "upstairs group".
The walk to the beach was not far and the beach was almost totally private! Quiet, safe feeling area!!
The only down side was the pool and spa. The spa was heated, however, the jets did not work so we basically had a hot pool of water. The rental company was very good at quickly responding, however, it was not rectified during our visit. They are checking to see if we can get a refund since we paid extra for the heated spa. If you are wanting to use the "spa", please check ahead to see if it is functional. We really loved this home!! Probably our favorite!!! -

What an amazing house! Wonderful layout: 5 bedrooms upper level
with 2 master suites, 3 bedrooms on main level with 2 master suites.
Kitchen and the 7 bathrooms are state of art; common areas are roomy
and comfortable. Lower level rec room--air conditioned, separate
enclosed area furnished with comfy seating and large screen tv,
ping pong table, pool table. Very short walk to beach--no streets to
cross. We've rented vacation houses in HHI for many years, and
this is our favorite! -

BeaconWonderful 1/2 year birthday celebration with friends

2 Galleon with the perfect location for a monumental '1/2' year birthday celebration. There were 18 adults at 2 Galleon for most of the week. The accommodations were excellent from each bedroom and bath to the pool table, ping pong table. Loved the pool and hot tub and the short walk to the beach was seamless. For the next member of our group that enters a new decade, we are encouraging them already to book 2 Galleon !

We had a fabulous week at this beautiful home. 2 Galleon was well suited for a week with all six grandchildren, including a newborn, with plenty of room to spread out and lots of ammenities to occupy the older children. The beautiful beach was a close walk away, and the pool, although small, was perfect for our family.
Our only regret is that we didn't locate the lights to the pool and the spa until the night before we left, and that the icemaker downstairs was not working. But with the second refrigerator upstairs, we made out just fine.
Beautiful house, and check in and check out could not have gone more smoothly. We will certainly use Island Getaway in the future if we get back to Hilton Head.
