House is very convenient walk/bike to the beach as well as good/safe ride to S Beach Marina. The house has a wide-open floor plan which works well for families on vacation. While the kitchen and decor do need updating, it is still in good condition, clean, and very well appointed (kitchen utensils, etc); more so than most HHI rental homes. The staff at HH Vacation Rentals, most notably Mike Wood, were great to work with and had good recommendations for bike rentals, etc.

This was a wonderful home for a family with children. Downside was, we had three people fall ,due to the step down into the kitchen. We also had two children cut their legs on a table in the loft. We stayed at the end of the season and the carpet was very soiled and everyone itched when they sat in the two, warn chairs in the living area. Everyone loved the house and the area, but we all wished it's interior was a little nicer.

The staff were amazing- helpful in picking the right home and making it work for us. The home was gorgeous, spacious, and so close to the beach. It was actually better than it looked on the website, which was a great surprise! Everything you need was there: great kitchen with all dishes and cooking wear you would ever need, spacious rooms, plenty of bedding, gorgeous lagoon view, less than two minutes from a gorgeous beach with dolphins every day and tons of other wildlife, a short bike ride from shops and restaurants or a short drive to anywhere on the island.

Sprunt Pond 4 is a great location in Sea Pines. It is a very short walk (less than 5 minutes, even with toddlers) to the beach, close to South Beach Marina, and on a quiet street. I have stayed at this property three times, and each time has been excellent.
The house has plenty of room for two families with kids (as long as you don't have 6 or more kids!). A nice kitchen, good dining area, and large open common area. The back deck has been recently rebuilt and is very nice for grilling out or just enjoying some sun and watching the birds on the lagoon. There is also free wi-fi access, which is a nice bonus.
A couple of negatives keeping me from giving 5 stars: the towels that are supplied are very rough, so bring your own from home if you want plush, comfy towels (and toilet paper, for that matter). Also, an upgrade to the TV is overdue. I know we don't vacation at the beach to watch TV, but once the kids are in bed, it's nice to watch a movie or ballgame on something a bit larger than a 20" picture tube. The final complaint is that there have been a couple of lights in the common area, specifically over the dining table, that have been burned out for at least 18 months (unless they have been replaced and burned out again). This made dining a romantic experience, but again, sometimes you want lights when you have kids at the table!
That said, I would certainly stay here again, and would bump up my rating if the above items were taken care of. -

Toddler Friendly House
The spacious living room/kitchen was perfect for our two-year-old grandson to spread out his toys for the week!! Having all bedrooms on ground level was very convenient, also. The patio was another feature our family enjoyed -late in the afternoons - sitting outside overlooking the lagoon. Being so close to the beach is our #1 reason for recommending #4 Sprunt Pond. With some major upgrading of the bathrooms, and some minor redecorating - this home would be our choice for next year!!!!

We enjoy staying at this rental house in Sea Pines. We enjoy the short walk to the beach. We enjoy grilling. Plenty of room for a family to enjoy the deck. A large family room provides space for meals, playing games watching movies, with a pretty view of the pond. 4 Sprunt pond is reasonably priced for a family, clean, and we found everything in working order.
