We have been coming to Hilton Head for 22 years, stayed at resorts,Inn's, condos and rental homes. 8 Flotilla has been the best home thus far! The homes oceanfront location was excellent, the home is large and beautifully decorated and yet very comfortable. The kitchen was the best equipt home we ever rented, comes in handy for Thanksgiving dinner! We had 9 people stay in this home with plenty of room for more. We all had a wonderful time, especially with all the great amentites of Palmetto Dunes Resort, On a final note, I have booked my stays with many rental agencys on Hilton Head Island, Destination Vacation is an excellent company, very professional and the staff is very friendly! Starting using them last year and will continue to use them for future vacation bookings!

We had a group of 13 adults and 7 children (ages 11 months to 7 years) stay for a week at the end of august. The house was plenty big enough for the group. Each couple had it's own room with bathroom and there was a pull out couch for the single adult. Each bedroom is large enough to comfortably handle an air mattress for kids. The upstairs master bedroom is enormous with large walk in shower, raised jacuzzi tub and separate room for toilet and bidet (really). Only problem with this is deciding who gets this room! Common areas are very large and keep you from feeling on top of one another. Kitchen is large but fridge is relatively small due to it being a counter depth model. Double ovens are convenient and gas range top is more than adequate for meeting most people's needs. Make sure you bring your own set of knives for preparing meats/veggies since the ones in the house are dull and we could not locate a sharpening tool. There is a small fridge in the bar area on the first level and another full size fridge/freezer in the garage. We had plenty of storage space among all three however it was annoying having to travel up and down the stairs to access the garage fridge (this became the beer fridge). With a smaller group this may not be a problem. We were eating in most meals so storage space was at a premium. Grill was nice and large but there was no brush to clean the grates. The pool and jacuzzi were both clean and good sized. Everyone liked the fact that there was a small grassy area between the pool and the dunes. This was a nice area for kids to play in and provided a nice transition when coming off the beach. Pool had a volley ball net which was simple to set up and a nice added bonus. Also had a ping pong table in the garage. Views of the ocean were spectacular from the 2nd level. Short walk to beach and located in Palmetto Dunes which is a short drive to almost anywhere on the island. Overall, excellent place to stay.
