Durham, NCWe had a wonderful week!
Left on 01/07/2012 for a stay in December 2011
The home is beautiful, the location is amazing and we had enough room to all be together (without being on top of each other). There were just a few issues with the house but Hilton Head Rentals was very quick to respond and the issues were unforeseen (Heating element on water heater broke).

BrownsburgVery Disappointed in House and Property Managment Company
Left on 10/09/2011 for a stay in September 2011
Upon arrival, the house smelled. We couldn’t understand why but we noticed it on the 1st landing. Called property management and was told week before it was closed and maintenance was done. Some painting was done and carpet was cleaned. It was wet and smelled sour. We had to buy air freshener to hide the odor until the carpet dried.
Tvs didn’t work or no controls that goes w/tv. Tv in one room had no control and no way to change channel on tv.
Website says (and still does) elevator is no longer in service as of 2/19/10. On Saturday, Fall, 2011 when I called about the internet I was told the elevator repairman would be coming on Monday to fix elevator. He showed up on Wednesday.
I called the property management company prior to arriving and asked about internet service. Was told it was high speed not Wi-Fi. Upon arrival, couldn’t find the hookup/router in the master bedroom on 2nd floor as stated on website. It person kept asking me what was on desk in 2nd master. I kept telling him nothing. He said house was set up for Wi-Fi. Eventually we found it on the 1st floor master bedroom desk. Someone had moved it and therefore it wasn’t working. On Saturday when I called the property management company about lack of internet service, I was told, by Ken, that we needed cables to hook up to and they couldn’t tell us everything to bring.
Someone, if not house cleaners, should have noticed it had been moved. There was a sign in the house that if you didn’t return something to it’s original position if you moved it, that there would be a charge. Why wasn’t a fee charged to the person(s) that relocated it?
Called on Saturday to ask for spa to be heated. Couldn’t believe you had to pay for a spa to be heated. What is a spa if it isn’t heated. Called on Monday and talked to Brandy requesting the spa be heated. Pool guy came out Monday and said it should heat up. By Wednesday, it still wasn’t heated. Called and left vmail for Brandy. Upon returning to the house later in the day, was told a pool person had come and said it should heat up now. He said the control box by the house was broken and he did it manually. On Thursday, I called and left a message for Brandy to call me. By noon, had not received a return call so called her back. Not available, spoke to someone else and I explained the spa had not heated since Monday and the pool was cloudy. I asked for Brandy to call me and that person asked me what was so urgent that I needed someone right then. Paid for spa to be heated and it had not. We didn’t want to swim in a cloudy pool. Later in the afternoon, I called Brandy again. She told me she had talked to someone at the house. I requested a refund but was denied. I told her I would dispute it with my credit card company and she replied, “OK”. Around 3:30, Jeff, from admiral Pools came and looked at the system. He felt the water and said it had not heated and that it wouldn’t. Jeff put chemicals in the pool to take away the cloudiness. By Saturday, the pool had algae in several spots of the pool.
Fan blades in 3rd floor bedroom were so loose it wobbled. My husband tightened the screws so it was safer. Several other places in house showed no signs of cleaning in a good while.
The area for putt putt was gross. Like a dungeon.
For a house that could accommodate so many people, the freezer was very small. It would have been nice if there was a way to make ice quicker instead of having to buy bags of ice as the ice maker couldn’t keep up.
We found a For Sale sign in the bushes and looked info up on the internet. We suspected they weren’t able to invest in the proper upkeeps due to trying to sell the house.
I spoke to someone who had rented that house 2 years earlier and they had the same problem with the pool.
Would I ever return to that house? No way. Would I ever use that property management company? No way. They were very nice until we got there. Then they were hateful and unaccommodating. -

Left on 04/27/2011 for a stay in March 2011
5 Roadrunner was the perfect vacation home. It's private access to the beach, morning views of the sunrise off our balconies. The weather was great allowing the teens to keep occupied on the beach all week. Hhr&g; staff were very helpful in resolving any issues that arose.
The only issues we had is that if there are amenities in the house, they should be tested that they all work before arrival. The spa would not heat (was rectified after we called) and we could not get a couple of the BR Tv's and stereos to work.
If the weather had not been good the lack of house common space may have been an issue.
Overall, it was the first visit to HHI for the 3 families that joined us and they all thoroughly enjoyed the vacation.
5 Roadrunner was our best vacation spot yet to Hilton Head. -

The home more than met our needs and expectations. We loved being right on the beach. Perfect location. The pool and spa were great. Hilton Golf and Rentals personnel were very helpful and accommodating. Overall, it was an excellent experience for everyone in our group.

Left on 06/02/2010 for a stay in May 2010
While Roadrunner 5 is a gorgeous home, Hilton Head Rentals and Golf was difficult to work with. The owner of the home forgot to pay his water bill and we lost running water for a full day of our vacation and the rental company was not very helpful or apologetic. They were more dismissive than anything else.

Our family thoroughly enjoyed our Hilton Head Rentals & Golf vacation home rental. The web site selection process allowed us to preview the available homes and match them to our family needs. The web site portrayal was excellent, but upon arrival we were all even more amazed at the stunning views and incredible setting on the beach. The pre-check in and easy departure allowed us to fully enjoy our stay without wasting any time. Hilton Head Island is a great place to visit and Hilton Head Rentals & Golf did an excellent job in providing us a terrific home to rent. We give it our highest recommendation!

Left on 12/30/2009 for a stay in August 2009
The house is beautifully decorated and there is almost nothing that wasn't
available to us. The location is nice but located next to a public/hotel beach.
Each bedroom had its own bath and although there were 20 people in our
party we weren't tripping over each other.
The only negative about the house/rental company is that the trash from the
previous week had never been removed from the basement and there were
tons of roaches. Almost everyone had the roaches in their
bedrooms/bathrooms as well. Hopefully it's been sprayed to alleviate this
problem. -

From our 1st inquiry to checking out, this was a dream come true. This place
is AWESOME. We had 7 adult couples (all Family) + 5 little ones. Everybody
gets their own bedroom and bathroom. The 3 master suites are simply elegant
and quite frankly, over the top! I can tell you, you can look and look, but you'll
not find a better, elegant home, with all the bells, whistles and location,
location, location -ON THE BEST BEACH in Hilton Head. We usually rent a
large home every other year, we like to try new places. This year, the whole
group said, "Why would we ever look anywhere else?" We'll be back!!!

Romeoville, ILA little too pricey.
Left on 12/30/2009 for a stay in May 2008
Hilton Head is beautiful but I think that the vacation rentals are overpriced. We are renting a property on the beach in Honolulu in November of 2010 and it is $6000.00 cheaper than the house that we rented on Hilton Head. We found that the pool at the house that we stayed in never did heat up even after having the repairman stop by twice to check it.
I would love to return to Hilton Head but I think I would just rent a very small condo instead. -

San Antonio TXBest Family reunion!
Left on 12/30/2009 for a stay in February 2008
Our stay at Roadrunner 5 was incredible! As a dual military couple, reuniting with our family is always a challenge. Hilton Head Rentals & Golf made our logistical challenges disappear! Everything in the home was first-rate (linens, decor, other amenities)! The location on the beach and at the end of the street was perfect -- quiet and easy walking to other areas of interest. Even our toddler had a great time playing in the sand with the toys (and stroller) provided, playing putt-putt in the basement; my mom enjoyed having an elevator to get to the top floors; other relatives enjoyed the walking/running trails and great restaurants. We all were sad to leave!
